The spirit in the sky called -- it wants its chords back.
Avatar 3:22am Jherweg:

I hate van moririson except for his contractual obligation record which is a bunch of songs he did in protest to fulfill his contract...
Avatar 3:22am Jherweg:

Get the blurred while it's hot.....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25am pacific standard simon:

There's a remix album of the contractual obligation album available online....
  3:27am Violet in Cali:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:30am pacific standard simon:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:36am pacific standard simon:

I'm not particularly keen on Van Morrison as a person, but his music up to the mid-seventies is fine with me.
  3:36am nanantatee:

You do sound a little dehydrated
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:37am pacific standard simon:

Think of it as heading off a premature heart attack, Jonathan.
  3:41am Violet in Cali:

You gotta do you
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:42am pacific standard simon:

Any relation to Judy Nylon?

  3:45am Violet in Cali:

She looks cool af
  3:53am Max:

Noooooooooo Jon it can't be goodbye!
  3:55am Max:

I think my Harry Pussy CD may have just turned up. There's something waiting for me in post office collection at least.
Avatar 3:55am Bazinge:

WTF! Blurred is the best thing on WFMU. This is alarming news.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:57am pacific standard simon:

Cry me a river. I adopted Matt Warwick, and now he's moving to a time when I can't listen live.
  4:04am Rob Geee:

Avatar 4:09am Jherweg:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:09am Kraftwerk:

Say it ain't so Jonathan! I start every Sunday here in the uk with your show, and you've turned me on to some amazing stuff over the years. Are you just having a break or actually leaving?

  4:16am Max:

Make a trip to England in your time out. Do an event at our new venue and you could easily get a session on NTS radio. Bring Anais. Make it a holiday.
Avatar 4:17am Jherweg:

Eyeless In Gaza, It's not just a Novel, It's a band...
Avatar 4:17am greysquad:

But this does give you time to escape from the coming trumpapocalypse... I'm sure he's gonna sick the fbi on fmu when he get's the chance....
Avatar 4:17am Simon P:

Jon, we'll be expecting you (and Storck ) back in the fall otherwise there's gonna be trouble..we'll be taking our trade elsewhere!!
  4:20am marvin:

@Max..Radio 451

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:32am brendanswfmuaccount:

Avatar 4:34am Jherweg:

Hope i don't disappoint on my last show.....
Avatar 4:38am Jherweg:

I love Ween and I'm not ashamed to say it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:39am pacific standard simon:

There are no guilty pleasures.
Avatar 4:46am greysquad:

I love that quebec lp! love that sloggy prog, and i'm in my fifties!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:51am fred:

I hate losing this show, but I'm in no position to complain: I rarely manage to be up before 11am, while you have sacrificed your weekends. I hope you'll be back in the fall and in a better time slot
Avatar 4:52am Jherweg:

Thanks fred you've been a huge supporter of the show, you all have, and it's nice to have made friends with so many cool people through the show.
Avatar 4:53am greysquad:

Also, can I say that Gas 1 is, bar none, the best late night/early morning bed music on fmu... even better than warwicks seinfeld garbage dumptruck bed! I'm going to miss itllll
Avatar 4:54am greysquad:

Avatar 4:58am Jherweg:

Glad you aren't sick of the Gas, I've been playing it as bed music for years and it's not even close to wearing thin. That Gas album is an infinite Listen....which is rare....
  5:08am Max:

Do you think they'll take down your archive? I noticed Storcks stuff has just come back but was unattainable for bloody ages
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:10am fred:

@Max: As far as I know archives are only taken down if the DJ requests so
Avatar 5:10am Jherweg:

I think On the app my shows will probably not show up in a few weeks so download them to your phone now,,.. you can always listen to the archives on your computer.
Avatar 5:11am Jherweg:

do you guys listen on your phones??
Avatar 5:12am Jherweg:

I feel like most people listen on the app right? that's how I mostly listen.
  5:12am Max:

OK. Thanks guys.... It'd be like going cold turkey. I need that fix man....
  5:14am Max:

I'm listening on phone now as my computer is busted. Have downloaded some of your shows on phone
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:15am fred:

I don't even have a phone. To get to archives that are not on the air you go through "playlists and archives" in the "programming" menu. If that's not available on the app, someone should ask Ken to make it happen
  5:18am Kafuka:

Someone should ask ken to find a good slot for Jonathan in September.
  5:19am Max:

Let's all email him....... Barrage his inbox with "Bring Back Jon!" emails
Avatar 5:19am Jherweg:

No probably not a good idea.....
  5:21am Max:

I was half joking
Avatar 5:23am Jherweg:

I decided not to wear shorts all summer no matter how hot it get's
  5:23am Kafuka:

This man should understand that wfmu is getting worst without your show , like others passed away
Avatar 5:23am Jherweg:

Next weeks my birthday......
Avatar 5:24am Simon P:

I think only Roxy can do this song
  5:24am Kafuka:

No I was talking about other shows, no blurred. Happy birthday Jonathan
Avatar 5:25am Jherweg:

You're probably right, it started out ok, But i have to admit I'm not into this
Avatar 5:25am Jherweg:

bad choice ha ha ha
Avatar 5:25am joeray:

No cargo shorts for Jonathan! Rugby shorts are cool.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:26am fred:

@Kafuka: Ken's busy making the station survive. People have been saying it was getting worse for years. Even if there was truth to that, it remains way better than any other. And getting worse means it's still there
Avatar 5:26am Jherweg:

Nothing with external pockets ever.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:27am fred:

@Simon P: I'll have to disagree on that: I love Talk Normal's cover. I'll even step boldly into blasphemy and say I like it better than the original
Avatar 5:30am joeray:

@fred: Agreed! WFMU is light years better than college radio, which I recently quit doing weekly shows on.
Avatar 5:30am Jherweg:

Heron Oblivion Blew the doors off Monty Hall the other night be sure to down load it if it get's uploaded to to FMA.
Avatar 5:33am joeray:

Good luck for a better time slot in the fall, Jonathan, after three years it's about time!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:35am pacific standard simon:

Play Misty for me.
Avatar 5:36am Simon P:

Still remember that first show in, Jon, I'm confident you'll be back. Anyways you got the SA visit and other important business to take care of in the meantime! See you next week.
Avatar 5:36am joeray:

Avatar 5:37am Simon P:

Avatar 5:37am Jherweg:

Any good record stores in Cape Town. what's the name of that record store in the Rodrigez Doc??
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:47am fred:

Damn, I haven't seen Aki Onda in ages. I hope I'll get a chance to fix that
  6:45pm Jonqu:

I only discovered this show during the recent 2016 marathon. I really enjoyed it and I was becoming a regular listener. Overnight is rough, but I enjoyed the program. Hope to hear from you again, Jonathan.
