Whippin' Post! (Is this heaven?)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:02am Cliff:

Good start for the show, Chris M.
  9:02am Neanderthal Head:

Is Dickie underrated?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:04am Uncle Michael:

Nope. Not by ABB fans.
Avatar 9:08am Howard F:

@Neanderthal Head Yes! He came up with many of the iconic Allman riffs, yet he's overshadowed by Duane's legendary status. He also got ousted from the band, I suppose that doesn't help?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:09am Uncle Michael:

I guess he's overshadowed by Duane by people that aren't that into the ABB.
Avatar 9:13am Howard F:

@Uncle Michael I consider myself a fan, yet I didn't realize the scope of his contributions to the band until I read One Way Out, great book!
Avatar 9:14am Chris M.:

good morning everybody

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:14am Michele:

Wow great set so far!
Avatar 9:16am Howard F:

Hey Chris! I agree with @Michele, this is why I "tune" in, great music!
Avatar 9:16am Chris M.:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:18am Uncle Michael:

I always missed him in the band. On the other hand...he had issues, Gregg had issues and they had issues with each other. When Gregg got sober, he was finally in a position where he didn't have to accommodate those issues and he fired Dickey. It was regrettable but understandable. Dickey and Warren were a great pair. Dickey and Derek were a great pair, and Warren and Derek were a great pair. I still missed Dickey. It's a shame that Gregg and Dickey couldn't see it through.

And yes, this is a great set. I'm glad I finally have the kind of Thursday morning where I can enjoy it!

  9:19am Neanderthal Head:

Thx for the ABB info/op. Def will check out One Way Out!
  9:20am Neanderthal Head:

Black Mountain were supposed to perform at this year's ill-fated Levitation Fest. Sound good!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:36am sphere:

Avatar 9:38am đ¢ ÞäŦ:

Now I'm in some other kind of mood..

  10:02am Polyus:

Illegitimate love? Ça n'existe pas !

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:19am JP from KC:

Hiya, Chris and imaginarians!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:33am JP from KC:

That Badbadnotgood was awesome! You can always tell at what point I tuned into Chris M's show because all the clicky stars are lit up from that point forward.
Avatar 10:34am Marcel M:

G'morning all
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:36am JP from KC:

On a related note, Chris: I think it's been mentioned before, but you should set it up so we can clicky star the Imaginary Radio image you put up each week, like Ken does with his gifs.
Avatar 10:38am Chris M.:

@JP from KC: well i'll try to figure that out for next time.
Avatar 10:38am βrian:

Can we just put this click-star thing to bed now?
  10:39am Dimitris:

G'afternoon. ..from Greece! !
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:43am JP from KC:

Just figured I'd mention it. I always like them. I kind of wish I had today's pic on a t-shirt. I'd wear the hell out of it.
  10:47am Brendan:

Nod to the assembled and much appreciation to the Chris M for the Witchthroat
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:49am sphere:

yeah, this Witchthroat is pretty awesome.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:51am common:

man, i miss listening on thursdays! hope everyone rocks!
Avatar 10:52am đ¢ ÞäŦ:

I was just listening to some of these live Nirvana recordings. No matter what you think, they were pretty sharp live.
Avatar 10:56am MenfussMike:

wt serpent is a pretty shitty name for a band, but i was diggin the song
Avatar 10:56am đ¢ ÞäŦ:

I think "Mark Pritchard" is a sucky name for a group.
Avatar 10:57am Cecile:

Twice. It was great!
Avatar 10:57am Cecile:

Black Panther rules.
Avatar 10:58am đ¢ ÞäŦ:

Should I take my 10 year old to see Cpt. America? Personally I think superheroes are pretty stupid. But...
Avatar 11:00am Chris M.:

@Cecile: yes!
@đ¢ ÞäŦ: only if he really wants to see it. it's pretty dark and if you haven't seen all the other movies before it it won't make much sense. but it's one of the best marvel movies i've seen.
Avatar 11:01am đ¢ ÞäŦ:

ah, ok. Thanks for the advice. Guess we should catch up on the others first. I'm a bad dad...
Avatar 11:01am Chris M.:

@đ¢ ÞäŦ: Guardians of the Galaxy is way better for a ten year old imo. i loved it. it's more like Star Wars.
Avatar 11:02am Cecile:

You should, dcp. It's actually a good story and my friend who had only seen Ant-Man could follow it pretty well.

I love Ant-Man. Ant-Man or GotG would be great.
Avatar 11:02am đ¢ ÞäŦ:

Wow, thanks Chris M. That sounds about right for him.
Avatar 11:03am đ¢ ÞäŦ:

Thanks 'Cile.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:03am rbxbx:

I found Guardians quite enjoyable as well, and have seen basically none of the surrounding films and haven't particularly enjoyed the ones I had (sorry!).
Avatar 11:04am Chris M.:

i second Ant-Man - also good for all ages. a lot of fun
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:05am rbxbx:

^ That one looked good as well, missed it in theaters and kind of forgot about it. Will have to seek out.
Avatar 11:05am Marcel M:

Brutal Truth!! SICK.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:06am rbxbx:

Oh Need To Control. Such a perfect album. Displacement is basically my fav grindcore track ever, maybe.
Avatar 11:07am Chris M.:

@Marcel M @rbxbx: hi-5
Avatar 11:08am Marcel M:

Hailing from WAAAAAAAY uptown.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:10am Barney Grubbs:

I saw brutal truth without knowing much about them in 1998 and was surprised by how tiny the drummer's kit was. (especially because they were playing with cannibal corpse & a bunch of other excessively outfitted bands). they were fantastic
Avatar 11:11am Marcel M:

Tiny kit = big heart.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:13am rbxbx:

Maybe that's the true difference between grindcore and death metal.
Avatar 11:13am northguineahills:

New NWW! great sounds!
Avatar 11:13am Chris M.:

dale crover played an out-of-tune shitty drum set the studio owned on the first melvins ep. listen to that drum sound and have your mind completely blown. it's all about the way you play.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:17am rbxbx:

@Chris M – if you play it, we'll have no choice but to listen ;)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:18am thatpatsmith:

oh golly
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:21am Ken From Hyde Park:

This Ketch singer is angry at numbers or something.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:21am Barney Grubbs:

They were beautiful and were a great contrast to the metal machismo plaguing the rest of the bands (and most of the audience, which was surprising for Berkeley but I guess shouldn't have been that surprising).
Avatar 11:22am Chris M.:

@rbxbx: challenge accepted
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:24am rbxbx:

@Chris M. thanks!
