Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:29pm fred:

@Cliff: they didn't rule out whisky hopefully
  3:29pm John Mcgreivey:

My daughter wants to know why a fire alarm is coming out of the radio.

Dead Kennedys "A Growing Boy Needs His Lunch"
  3:43pm rw:

I think there may be a Little Jimmy Dickens dinner song or two.
  3:43pm Ajax:

"Lunch Hour" by Rupert Holmes is a personal favorite meal song.

If we're having lunch songs, we'll have to hear The French Toast Man, for sure.
  3:46pm rw:

"Take an Old Cold 'Tater (And Wait)" is the one I was thinking of.
  3:49pm Cliff:

I can have french fries, but not french toast *sigh*

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:29pm fred:

Years ago, I met guys who were excited to see TG for the first time. I was like: I've seen him so many times, and it's such a small place, so I'll pass. They were talking about Throbbing Gristle, I was talking about Thibault Gondard, who played on the same day, close to each other. I didn't know that

Avatar 4:55pm geezerette:

Loving this show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:55pm Ike:

Listening at 91.1 FM. Is it just me or did you go off the air for several seconds there? Was there a staticky bit towards the end of that Elysian Fields song? It's fine now, though.
  4:56pm John McGreivey:

Well, I like it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:57pm Matt from Springfield:

A weird mantra in a way. With guitar.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:59pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

It is suggested ('This is Your Brain on Music') that Predictability & Novelty are the Polarities which define the Axis around which our interest in Music totally revolves...
Avatar 4:59pm βrian:

"Peat fell in ... Laphroaig."

What's a sleeve guard?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:01pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

When there's no future - how can there be sin?
  5:02pm Cliff:

It's reminding me of the weird preacher from a Godspeed You Black Emperor song, that says "when you find yourself in the presence of God, you will believe you have gone mad..."
Avatar 5:02pm geezerette:

Brian,fell from where into what?
Avatar 5:03pm βrian:

Good Sir, Is there still available cushioned seating for the Upper Crust performance this weekend? We should be so pleased to attend.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:15pm Matt from Springfield:

Kenneth Goldsmith...was that Kenny G reading Robert Ashley, or just posting his lyrics?

@fred: On the bright side, you get an alternate stereo mix every time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:15pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

This summer I’m going to give a class in mushroom
identification at the New School for Social Research.
Actually, it’s five field trips, not really a class
at all. However, when I proposed it to Dean Clara
Mayer, though she was delighted with the idea, she
said, “I’ll have to let you know later whether or not
we’ll give it.” So she spoke to the president who
couldn’t see why there should be a class in mushrooms
at the New School. Next she spoke to Professor MacIvor
who lives in Piermont. She said, “What do you think
about our having a mushroom class at the New School?”
He said, “Fine idea. Nothing more than mushroom
identification develops the powers of observation.”
This remark was relayed both to the president and to
me. It served to get the class into the catalogue and
to verbalize for me my present attitude towards
music: it isn’t useful, music isn’t, unless it
develops our powers of audition. But most musicians
can’t hear a single sound, they listen only to the
relationship between two or more sounds. Music for
them has nothing to do with their powers of audition,
but only to do with their powers of observing
relationships. In order to do this, they have to
ignore all the crying babies, fire engines, telephone
bells, coughs, that happen to occur during their
auditions. Actually, if you run into people who are
really interested in hearing sounds, you’re apt to
find them fascinated by the quiet ones. “Did you hear
that?” they will say.

I dont think "Alien" would be what it is without "Dark Star"
Avatar 5:18pm steve:

i just watched Carpenter's Starman. that is such an underrated movie... i think it deserves to have its place in history switched with Close Encounters.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:18pm Scott Williams:

@Sir Loin, yep tix still available for that show
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:18pm fred:

@Matt: Not really. Nothing on my left side works, including my heart
