Mark James also cut a great version of "Suspicious Minds": www.youtube.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:51am ChrisB.:

Tex really getting the brass treatment here.
  11:51am P-90:

Just to clarify a small point: the "ooga-chakas" were not part of the original lyrics of "Hooked on a Feeling" and are not on the original1968 BJ Thomas #1 hit recording. The band Blue Swede added those as a gimmick to their (far inferior) 1974 cover version.
Avatar 11:54am Michael Shelley:

Actually - Blue Swede was copying (former guest) Jonathan King's cover
Avatar 11:54am Mark in Toronto:

Michael, for Number 1 Hits, I recommend all Charlie Rich tracks on Epic
Avatar 11:54am Michael Shelley:

Mark - I'm into it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:56am Gaylord Fields:

Somehow the Explorers Club have outdone themselves with this song. It's truly worthy of their role models.
  12:06pm P-90:

Of course I stand corrected, Jonathan King added the "ooga-chakas" first. Should probably keep my comments to myself; just for some stubbornly capricious personal reason I think folks should know they weren't part of Mark James's original idea...
Avatar 12:08pm Michael Shelley:

p-90: always chime in!
Avatar 12:09pm Mark in Toronto:

Shave and a haircut, two bits
Avatar 12:10pm marc15:

I'm partial to "Run Run Run" by the Emperor's Club
Avatar 12:12pm Superb Owl:

Talkin about songs everyone knows. There are certain phrases that you can not start a sentence with, without the other person completing it with a song. As proof I offer up: "It's not unusual ... ".
Avatar 12:13pm Michael Shelley:

Mark - Run Run Run (Explorers Club) is one of the greatest records EVER made
Avatar 12:15pm Michael Shelley:

Avatar 12:16pm marc15:

I agree Michael
  12:18pm P-90:

One if the happiest additions I ever made to my Facebook News Feed was following Deke Dickerson. Recommend giving it a try.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Hey, it's that "Sabotage" song! Neat! The video is funny.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20pm Goyim in the AM:

Sometimes even number one hits are Number One Hits.
  12:22pm Eddy in Australia:

Wait, yours is a home where the *parents* like the Beastie Boys and the kids don't?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:24pm myron feld:

Sabotage = least good Beastie Boys song ever give. Gotta side with Juniper on this one. But with you 287% on Explorers Club's Run Run Run.
Avatar 12:24pm Superb Owl:

But try this out, if you start a sentence with "Hello, it's me .." how would people musically complete it today? Juniper can tell everyone.
  12:25pm Hot Bar:

Avatar 12:26pm Michael Shelley:

Myron - Beastie Boys are the first ladies of Vegas
  12:26pm Mark Rosen:

Great to hear Dion's original "My Girl the Month Of May." I first heard this song sung by Richard Thompson as part of The Bunch. Took me a long time to track down Dion's version.
Avatar 12:27pm Superb Owl/Crum Beagle:

Considering how Michael's show typically ends, it seems like BBoys cookyp*ss would be their #1 song, lol.
Avatar 12:29pm Melissa Jean:

good afternoon!
