Listener comments!

"Lemonade Kid" composed after listening to a very long version of "Dark Star" on acid, no doubt.
  3:11am Midnight CA:

Nuttin wrong with kicking off with *anything* from Europe 72 cheers
Avatar 3:12am Jeff Conklin:

Morning, all.

Yeah, been obsessed with Jack Straw this week ;)
  3:19am Midnight CA:

Always weird fun to hear something I heard when first released, that I still love, on the radio.
Avatar 3:23am KP:

Hello in there, Jeff
Avatar 3:25am Jeff Conklin:

Morning, KP.

Yeah, I figure nothing from Europe 72 gets played on the radio these days, save for some freaky places like 'FMU
  3:26am Midnight CA:

As opposed to some random band practice recording. Paging John Zorn.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:26am pacific standard simon:

It's true. I was 16 or 17 when Europe 72 was released, and I played it constantly. Find it even more pleasing now than I did back then.
  3:29am Midnight CA:

I gave away my all vinyl in 1986 when I went archipelago. Bought Exile On Main Street and Europe 72 before I bought a CD player.
Avatar 3:30am Jeff Conklin:

Maybe it was this promo-only 45 you guys heard back in the day: imgur.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:33am pacific standard simon:

No, I had the three record set. Parts of it I didn't listen to often, but "Jack Straw" I listened to frequently.
  3:35am Midnight CA:

Too bad about the needle drops, but yeah go right ahead and make me sad I haven't owned vinyl for 30 years.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:38am pacific standard simon:

I still have ~200-300 records, but no record player. Gotta fix that.
  3:45am Midnight CA:

Liking this band practice recording more than the last. Off to sleep now, cheers to Jeff & all at WFMU for helping me stay on the sane side of life.
Avatar 3:46am Jeff Conklin:

@Midnight: I guess I missed that first dig on Dire Wolves. You're wrong on both counts but that's ok ;) Goodnight.
  3:48am Midnight CA:

Yer over my head but that's OK :)

Avatar 4:13am Jeff Conklin:

Jakob! Thanks, pal.
  4:13am Mark R:

I actually enjoyed the sentimentality.
Avatar 4:16am Jeff Conklin:

@Mark: Ha! Thanks. Feeling grateful this morning.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:20am Guido from Cologne:

  4:29am Nick Mitchell:

Killer show to start my day in Manchester. Can't wait for my Träd, Gräs och Stenar box to land.
Avatar 4:36am Jeff Conklin:

@Nick: Morning, man! Thanks for the jams. Didn't get to them in time for tonight. Looking forward!
  4:39am Nick Mitchell:

No probs! There's a whole load of GL stuff in the 'new in' box at WFMU so dig deep, brah. Really lovin' the picks today. Rumback & Walker was glorious.

  5:08am George from Gravesend:

Hope you'll be able to get some rest today. Stay well.
  5:09am franny:

I've read less sleep means more seratonin, but I'm not sure I'd trade the sleep for happiness.
Avatar 5:15am Jeff Conklin:

@Franny: Maybe that's why I'm in a good mood. Though I may drive off the Williamsburg bridge on my way home...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:17am annie:
