Sooo good to hear you ms!
Avatar 11:01am Marc Francis:

Happy Saturday everyone!
  11:01am John W.:

Rock on Mikey! I am your #1 fan. I am also the fan of the man from Tennessee.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:05am Brian in UK:

Hush Puppies one step up from brothel creepers.
  11:07am lloyd michigan:

So, are those Hush Puppies for men or women? I don't understand that ad.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:07am Frank Above:

Rock on Mike!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:08am Brian in UK:

I think they were usually for men.
Avatar 11:09am SmokinJ:

Rockin' Big Time as usual ms!
  11:10am lloyd michigan:

Hush Puppies were men's shoes, but this has me puzzled. And I've been in advertising since 1977.
  11:12am nachurall:

Nuthin but the hits!
Thank you Michael.
  11:14am lloyd michigan:

Gotta hear at least one song from Merle.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:16am Brian in UK:

@lloyd read the small print.

I remember in the late Sixties, a clothes company called Austin Reed advertised a range to try and stop you smoking as "the jacket to jack it off in". This expression was no well known over here at the time. Wacko.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:19am Brian in UK:

Not sure where that memory came from. Maybe Lord Johns in Carnaby Street.
Avatar 11:19am Miss Mailas:

Happy to hear you, Mike! Good morning, everyone!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:20am Ken From Hyde Park:

Michael Shelley = MS = Mike Sin
It checks out!
Avatar 11:20am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...the Rages of Sin...
  11:20am lloyd michigan:

That's wild, Brian. I read the copy in the HP ad, and still don't get it. Haven't had my coffee yet.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:22am melinda:

Great shoes.
Avatar 11:24am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...designed by the Yellow Submarine animators...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:25am Brian in UK:

It is of the time. For "Libs" (womens liberation) it would have been "Squares" ten years earlier.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:26am melinda:

@Brian: are 'brothel creepers' a real thing or did you make it up? I like it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:27am Mike Sin:

Folks! Thanks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:28am Stevel:

Talk about off and running (shoe reference intended)!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:29am Stevel:

"I married a Lib."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:29am Brian in UK:

melinda, no I really should have compared Hush Puppies with desert boots.
Brothel creepers are what Teddy Boys wore over here in the late Fifties. Along with Drape jackets . Honest.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:31am Stevel:

Are Brothel Creepers related to Winklepickers?

  11:32am dinatekno:

I am LOVING the music Mike! Keep going just as you are! It's perfect!
  11:33am lloyd michigan:

Steve, I was just about to ask that! Fab wear, right?
Avatar 11:33am Marc Francis:

I love the Black Hollies. I want more of them.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:33am melinda:

Thanks Brian, I believe you. I've always confused desert boots with Wallabees.
  11:34am lloyd michigan:

Are desert boots chukka boots?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:35am Brian in UK:

No way brothel creepers are sort of crepe soles and round toed but winkle pickers, as the name implies are pointed and screw your feet up.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:35am Stevel:

Heck, Lloyd, I just like saying Winklepicker, out loud.
  11:37am lloyd michigan:

I'm sure somewhere in the world, it's offensive.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:38am Brian in UK:

A picture tells a thousand words or better than I can.
Brotherl Creepers

Desert boots
  11:39am dinatekno:

  11:39am dinatekno:

I still have my 45!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:41am Brian in UK:

I guess winkle pickers comes from the ability to pick a winkle shellfish from its shell as it is pointed.

Phew enough.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:45am melinda:

Enjoying the tunes.
  11:47am Frank Above:

Well, this show is the kick in the ass I needed this morning!
Avatar 11:55am Marc Francis:

Hot damn Mike Sin! I feel like I have Starred/Favourited more songs today than I have over the last few weeks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:28pm Parq:

Haven't heard the Hollies' take on "Rock" in a boatload of time. If memory serves (questionable at my age), that was the first version of that song I ever heard.
Avatar 12:28pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Always say - Mike Sin like makes a new Volume of Nuggets on demand.
Avatar 12:38pm Marc Francis:

I played this last night! Such a great song! Allah-Las!
