Avatar 9:18am Rev. Turnip Druid:

Lovely start. This LP marks the end of TD's time-of-excellence (in my humble), but it's a great one.
Avatar 9:18am Rev. Turnip Druid:

also: 'mornin, troops.
Avatar 9:20am Marty McSorley:

pickins are pretty slim after this. but i do like their score to Vision Quest a whole lot.

Avatar 9:37am Patrick Stankard:

That Babe Ruth LP cover is amazing
Avatar 9:38am PKNY:

Every time I hear "The Mexican", I immediately want to start uprocking. And that's a good thing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:39am MD:

I feel like Spaghetti!!!
Avatar 9:39am Marty McSorley:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:20am Mick:

Happy Friday one and all
  10:21am SeanG:

smokin track
  10:26am Sam:

Avatar 10:28am PKNY:

This songs gets more entertaining when you pretend that 'cookie' is slang for cocaine.
  10:29am Sam:

I think Cookie Monster's whole character is a parody of a junkie.
Avatar 10:30am Cheri Pi:

  10:31am subjecttoochange:

Best DJ ever.
  10:31am bill:

wow, Cookie disco is a fantastic way to start a Friday
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:31am Mike Sin:

"Me Lost Me Cookie At The Disco" -- Nice grammar there, Sesame Street!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:32am steveo:

Great show. Your records run deep, sir.
Avatar 10:32am PKNY:

And there's nothing like a 40 to mellow you out when you're on a major cookie high.
  10:32am subjecttoochange:

I repeat, BEST DJ EVER!
Avatar 10:33am Marty McSorley:

cookie monster need an 8 ball of cookie
Avatar 10:33am PKNY:

I gotta check to see if this Eazy track is on 12 inch, if I wasn't in the office I'd be singing along with the chorus at full volume.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:33am Greg from ZONE 5:

Tight song, but that typography is highly offensive to me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:35am pantz:

Great show, Marty!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:38am Philthy woman:

LOOOVE 'Lost my cookie at the disco'. I play the VDO for the toddlers at my school and they don't seem to dig it like I do. I recently heard there was some study that showed cookie monster was a common character in lil kids nightmares?!
  10:42am blee:

You made my day, Marty.
Avatar 10:42am kirk from beer city usa:

great juxtapositions. never would have guessed manowar after isley bros.
Avatar 10:44am PKNY:

Manowar is just too goofy, and biting the "Destroyer" album art is not a good look.
Avatar 10:44am kirk from beer city usa:

wow, does this sound familiar. must've had this on cassette in my teens.
Avatar 10:45am Cheri Pi:

I dedicate this Manowar to Cecile.
Avatar 10:45am PKNY:

I hope in the next installment of "Magic Mike", they decide to do a Manowar theme.
  10:50am blee:

Manowar is such macho barbarian metal, it's hilarious. I love how serious they are.
Avatar 10:54am kirk from beer city usa:

umm, what I said before. what next?!
Avatar 10:55am PKNY:

@blee - I actually saw them play in the late 80s. The guitar player was on stage in some rawhide chaps thing, but had a leg immobilizer on over it. Joey DeMaio gave a stage rap about how the dude injured his leg while in a tryst with a groupie on the tour bus. Like I said, goofy.
  10:56am bill:

wow, thanks for this live neil diamond, never heard it before
Avatar 10:57am kirk from beer city usa:

neil diamond is the original old dirty bastard. OODB.
Avatar 10:58am Rev. Turnip Druid:

yeh; did a massive double-take at the playlist: that Neil Diamond tune = same title as the single from the new Hawkwind LP (out next week, wrings hands like junkie) -- Safe to say the HW number is not a Diamond cover.
Avatar 10:59am Rev. Turnip Druid:

no disrespect to Neil. Every household in those days had a copy of GOLD.
  10:59am blee:

@PKNY wow, that is fantastic. So awkward for the guitarist. Thanks for sharing.
Avatar 11:06am Rev. Turnip Druid:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:12am ChrisB.:

And if you've never seen the Jan Pahechan Ho video, you simply must: www.youtube.com...
Avatar 11:13am Rev. Turnip Druid:

What Chris said. The whole film (Gumnaam) is worthy, as well.
Avatar 11:14am Polyus:

Wasn't that Mohammed Rafi song used in a Heinekin ad?
Avatar 11:17am kayke:

I can't believe I missed a Sesame Street Disco song
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:20am Ken From Hyde Park:

@Polyus - It was indeed. youtu.be...
Avatar 11:21am kuriousornj:

Avatar 11:24am Cheri Pi:
