A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

hello all
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:04am Ken From Hyde Park:

Psst! A certain mammoth tells me the station is within $10,000 of the goal. I heard your song on the app while I was shopping Sunday night. Sounded good. I need to check the video archive and catch up on the sights I missed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:08am annie:

good morning everyone. just passing through the comments section; packing up to go back home from a cat-sit job. 2 very spoiled cats, flouncing and strutting and the like.
Avatar 9:08am bobdoesthings:

goodmorning modernworld!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:10am Ken From Hyde Park:

@annie - Those cats have never had it so good...assuming you treated them to plenty of WFMU.
Avatar 9:10am Wild Neil:

Good morning Trouble et al! PEACE be unto you all...
  9:10am kevlicki:

Good morning trouble!
Avatar 9:15am Marcel M:

Morning. You were great on Sunday, Trouble!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:15am melinda:

hello Trouble & folks!
Avatar 9:16am Trouble:

good morning merry listeners! we should be very proud of ourselves... almost there!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:24am braveness23:

LOL, I was sitting here listening to Minnie Riperton enjoying the bells in the song. Then I realized the bells weren't in the song but were my front door bell perfectly in key and time with the song. It was a little neighbor boy with two plastic toy guns in hand asking if my daughter was here. Sadly my daughters spring break does not coincide with all of neighborhood kids break.
  9:26am timotato:

This sounds like Marisa Monte singing in the chorus. What is this song?
Avatar 9:30am bobdoesthings:

finally some recognition for listening! thank YOU trouble
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:31am Uncle Michael:

It was great to meet you Trouble.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:31am Uncle Michael:

You didn't embarrass yourself!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:32am @sugarwolf@:

Avatar 9:33am thedunkel:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:33am melinda:

You were great, Trouble!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:37am Jeff Golick:

I, too, dug your Drake.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:38am Jeff Golick:

I find I am startlingly obsessed with seeing what happens to our spear-carrying Cro-Mag once (if?) the goal is met. Anyone else?
  9:40am Cooh John:

Thank you for being you, Trouble. You are an ear full.
Avatar 9:42am Trouble:

thanks guys! i am not fishing for compliments, I realize the fun of karoake is not be able to actually sing the tune. all good, that is until i saw the green ear plugs popping out. i laughed, and i cried. :) and great to meet you @uncle michael!!

  9:56am Dean:

This is one of my favorite Nina Simone recordings...and one of her least favorite.
  9:57am timotato:

Very cool that she was doing reggae back in the 70s. Nils Lofgren did a pretty good cover of this Randy Newman song as well.
  9:58am Juliette G.:

Oh Baltimore. Ain't it hard just to live?
Who knew Nina S. blessed Bmore with a thought. Crazy bass!
Avatar 10:03am Trouble:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:17am Devin B.:

Is the line "I like you mostly late at night" a reference to Robert Wyatt's "Sea Song?"
Avatar 10:21am Wild Neil:

Tall Dwarves reminds me of the Mamas and the Papas and The Monkees in the best possible way.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:26am Greg from ZONE 5:

FANTASTIC job on Sunday, Trouble!
Avatar 10:28am Trouble:

@trouble - ever thought of switching up your birds and using a lyrebird (the bird that can mimic nearly any type of sound including chainsaws, digital sounds, ringtones, cassette sounds, camera shutter sounds etc etc - www.youtube.com... )

"What Happened Miss Simone" wrecked me. Amazing. Heartbreaking, but amazing.
  10:56am emily:

Good morning Trouble! and friend. Am listening live this morning! No school. Spring break!
Avatar 10:57am Brian in UK:

Still getting over the shocking bombing in Brussels this morning.
Avatar 10:58am geegee vindaloo:

So this morning I put on the show and your voice and the music was coming through about 85% slower and lower pitched. For about an hour I listened figuring that this was your expression of being tired from the past two weeks of fundraising. After an hour I checked to see if there was something weird with my pop up player and that was it. This is why I love FMU, a place where it seems perfectly normal to hear music and DJs at low speed.
Avatar 11:00am Van in DC:

yeah, flash frequently has issues
  11:00am emily:

love the art work!
Avatar 11:00am βrian:

"Trouble Lentissimo"
Avatar 11:06am Trouble:

that was awful to hear @ brian in UK
Avatar 11:08am Jay/London:

@ Brian in the UK yes in so much shock ... what's going on !!!
Avatar 11:09am Brian in UK:

This may have been posted before by FMU's Jesse Jarnow about Wayfaring Strangers.
Avatar 11:11am Brian in UK:

Hi Jay, just be thankful it is not here...yet. Reminds me when I was working in London when the IRA was bombing. One went off in the next street to me. SO LOUD. This is a different level.
  11:16am bpdun88:

Love the artwork. Missed artist's name. Anybody?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:16am Parq:

GeeGee V: I can't tell you how many times something like that has happened to me. Once, the Flash player was buffering weird, so that I was getting only intermittent blips of sound coming through at a slow pulse. I must have listened to it for two minutes before it occurred to me that something might be wrong. It didn't help that I had Bryce's show on at the time.
  11:16am Fred:

Hell Yeah, wolves!!
Avatar 11:18am βrian:

I was under the impression that all things Flash had been retired. (Out of date and insecure.)

Via Trouble: "today's art work is by fab WFMU listener Peter Gross who has a show up in Seattle right now at Linda Hodges"
Avatar 11:23am geegee vindaloo:

If today were Wednesday ( Ken ), I would expect the speed and pitch change. I went and fixed the player when I realized it was Tuesday.
  11:29am bpdun88:

Thank you, Jeff.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:32am soup and fog:

It's fun to try and hear English words in this tune
