Krautrock at its best
  7:18pm Ahmad:

Hi Faye!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:22pm YETI BOB:

Great track! I forgot how good this Raincoats album is. And I think that's Charles Hayward (This Heat, etc) on drums.
  7:25pm Ahmad:

I miss this band. One of the first drone acts that really hooked me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:26pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Ah, the drone zone! Perfect!
Avatar 7:27pm Faye:

@Bob- yes that is my favorite song off that perfect record! According to discogs Ingrid Weiss actually plays drums on that one, though Hayward is on many other tracks. & I guess Robert Wyatt is the drummer on "And Then It's OK"?!?
Avatar 7:31pm Peteski:

Hey Faye, hallo kinder. (what a trip, I log on as see myself on the front page of FMU!?)
Avatar 7:32pm Faye:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:39pm Gaylord Fields:

@Faye: This is transportative and transformational. I am transfixed.
  7:40pm Ahmad:

That was like having a nice fluffy cushion ripped from under you.
Avatar 7:40pm Faye:

@Gaylord precisely my intention!!! it worked!!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:40pm common:

  7:47pm Cliff:

Hello Faye & children, just sitting down with a plate of spaghetti carbonara
  7:49pm Carmichael:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:12pm melinda:

Nice to hear B&S.
Avatar 8:15pm listener mark:

Taxes are done! Just in case the IRS asks, I am the most Eternal Reverend of the Astral Plane and all of you are my dependents.
  8:16pm Cliff:

Ahmad: nothing wrong with psychedelic oblivion, right?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:17pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Faye - this is delightful. Thank You.
  8:17pm Cliff:

listener mark, sounds legit.
Avatar 8:18pm Faye:

:) you're welcome rabbit
  8:20pm Ahmad:

Cliff: No, not at all.
  8:21pm JakeGould:

Hello Faye! Really liking this Fabiano Do Nascimento.
  8:24pm fedicalmools:

Love it when you get all jangly
Avatar 8:25pm Faye:

  8:28pm Carmichael:

Finally, I am a legal dependent.
  8:30pm JakeGould:

@Carmichael: Mazel tov on no longer being an illegal dependent! Or a legal codependent! Either way, good for you!
  8:34pm JakeGould:

@Faye: “NO JANGLE • NO LIFE” Put that on a 1" button and that is a premium.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:36pm Ken From Hyde Park:

I'm so glad there''s no jangle tax we have to pay.
  8:42pm JakeGould:

@KenFromHydePark: Ever check out the NYState webpage about taxes for sales from “restaurants, taverns and similar establishments?” www.tax.ny.gov...
  8:43pm Cliff:

I hate taxes
  8:45pm Cliff:

Sorry, the wit is not with me tonight
  8:45pm Carmichael:

@cliff: but I bet you love paved roads and toilets that flush.
  8:45pm Cooh John:

Hello Faye and children, checking in for the 2nd half. Looks like I missed Death. I was just talking to Jesse from All Dogs and others about that band this week. "Because I could not stop for Death, he kindly stopped for me..."
  8:46pm Cliff:

Yeah, yeah, I know, civilization and all that
  8:47pm JakeGould:

@Faye: Weren’t you reading the Richard Hell memoir? He was a bit of a jerk to Lizzy Mercier Descloux but at least can admit it.
Avatar 8:49pm Faye:

yeeees he was
  8:51pm JakeGould:

But she was/is quite a talent.
  8:56pm Ahmad:

I think this is what kids are calling vaporwave these days.
Avatar 8:58pm listener mark:

@JakeGould I'll have to check that tax thing at Dunkin' Domuts. A dozen donuts in a box is not taxable.
Avatar 9:01pm listener mark:

Toilets that flush can be sponsored by Corporations. This flush brought to you by Halliburton. And roads should be paid for by oil companies.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:01pm coelacanth:

greetings Faye and hello children
  9:03pm JakeGould:

@listenermark: One of the examples starts off like a joke, “Three customers enter a bagel shop.”
  9:03pm Carmichael:

But then no pedestrians or cyclists may use those roads. Unless sponsored by Nike and Schwinn.
Avatar 9:03pm listener mark:

@ JakeGould Yes!
Avatar 9:04pm listener mark:

Don't forget Cozy Coupe! The number one selling vehicle in the United States!
  9:04pm JakeGould:

“A Jew, a Catholic and a Muslim walk into a bagel shop.”
Avatar 9:05pm listener mark:

Is Trump behind the counter of the bagel shop?
  9:06pm JakeGould:

Any bands out there named “Cozy Coupe?” Maybe twee pop from north of the border?
  9:07pm Carmichael:

Again I hear Milk Dick.
  9:09pm Ahmad:

Ahh Milk Dick. another artist's name that'll be fun to say on the air. One of the reasons I play a lot of Mannequine Pussy.
  9:11pm Cliff:

Does Trump personally approve the shmeer sold at the bagel shop?

Does Trump even know what shmeer is?
  9:11pm Pete L:

Milk Dick
wouldnt think would be good
They have an album?
Avatar 9:12pm listener mark:

Reading about Richard Hell, first person to use safety pins as a fashion accessory.
  9:13pm JakeGould:

@Cliff: Trump knows what bagels and schears are. I could go on for hours about how he divided parts of Brooklyn via racist nonsense. I grew up directly across the street from “Trump Village” and utterly everyone in that place was elitist despite being on the same economic level as the rest of us in the neighborhood. That guy can divide and conquer. So yeah… Schmear.
  9:14pm martp:

  9:14pm JakeGould:

@listenermark: Also he sought out the tight/dark black Levis for his whole look. So hey.
  9:16pm Cliff:

I figured as much, I just wanted to write "Trump" and "shmeer" in the same comment

I'm a little fuzzy-headed tonight
  9:17pm Ahmad:

Johanna Warren's well worth catching live if anyone ever gets the chance.
  9:17pm martp:

  9:21pm Cliff:

In other news: i.imgur.com...
  9:22pm Cliff:

Image goes well with tonight's playlist title
  9:24pm Asparagus:

Really amazing show!
Avatar 9:25pm Faye:

thanks asparagus!
Avatar 9:25pm listener mark:

Fuzzy headed-ness comes from listening to "Hello Children!" I'm disorientated, confused, woozy and superbly prepared to face another week of work.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:29pm Fuzzy:

I am also Fuzzy headed!
  9:30pm Cliff:

Let us start the Fuzzy Headed Club then
  9:31pm JakeGould:

  9:38pm Syd:

Always a pleasure Faye!
Avatar 9:40pm Faye:

cheers syd!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:42pm coelacanth:

i just noticed Johanna Warren is on team love and think it's odd since she lives 3000 miles from the label's only location.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:51pm Ken From Hyde Park:

@JakeGould - Thanks for the tax link. I recall a playlist conversation one time about what constitutes a sandwich. There was a web page on that site that described what's a sandwich and what isn't.
  9:53pm Cliff:

Thank you Faye, and I'll see you on the astral plane
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:53pm coelacanth:

  9:54pm Cliff:

(I've been practicing my astral projection skills, I'm getting pretty good at it)
Avatar 9:57pm listener mark:

Thanks Faye! The astral plane in the form of a warm bed awaits!
