Howdy, Bill!
Avatar 6:02am KP:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:03am Guido from Cologne:

Welcome back Bill!
I'm in full multi-tasking mode right now ....
Hi P-90, KP, everyone!
Avatar 6:03am Brian in UK:

What time do you call this? Jeffrey hardly ever goes away from now.
Avatar 6:05am Brian in UK:

P90, KP and Guido.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:05am Guido from Cologne:

on first view the photo looked like you butchered Ratty for dinner ... hahaha ...
... ok it's still alive .
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:05am annie:

Avatar 6:05am Brian in UK:

Jeez that rat can tuck it away.
Avatar 6:11am Brian in UK:

This is on Atlantic?
Avatar 6:13am Bill Mac:

Hey! I'll be there in a few!
Avatar 6:15am duke:

Good morning everyone
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:18am mauri:

bill boogie!
Avatar 6:20am Bill Mac:

Hey all! Sorry for the deee-lay! Yep, Martyn sends his regards along with a couple pics of our intrepid traveler eating a hearty dinner off the coast of Japan I think. We should all be as lucky as the rubber rat!
Avatar 6:23am Bill Mac:

@Brian Yeah King Missile did two albums with Atlantic I think.
  6:33am Mark R:

Morning Bill, nice to see you in the daylight hours!
Avatar 6:36am Brian in UK:

Folk, Old-Timey, Blues that is what I was expecting. Might have to check out KCRW. He he.
Avatar 6:41am Brian in UK:

We might say miserable old git over here.
Avatar 6:43am Brian in UK:

Did Creation used to play the guitar with a violin bow?
Avatar 6:44am Bill Mac:

Heya Mark, time to photosynthesize!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:47am Konin:

The beat starts to kick in. Heavily.
Avatar 6:48am Bill Mac:

@Brian Did you just read that off Wiki?
Avatar 6:49am Bill Mac:

Hey Konin, it was gonna happen at some point
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:51am Guido from Cologne:

did you know Creation Records of My Bloody valentine fame was christinaized in honor of this mod unit.

The Creation were label mates with The Doors in Germany, where they had most success (on Hit-Ton-Schallplatten, subsidary of Vogue Discs)
Avatar 6:54am Bill Mac:

@Guido Seems like they should have been huge all over
Avatar 6:55am Brian in UK:

Bill, no most of the crap from me comes from my dilapidated memory.
Avatar 6:56am Bill Mac:

Dilapidated - first time I heard that word I was in the 6th grade.
Avatar 6:57am Brian in UK:

I know the bloke in Led Zeppelin, whatisname, played a bow. This was before him.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:02am Guido from Cologne:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:02am Guido from Cologne:

he used to sing "making Time" at soundchecks.
Avatar 7:06am Bill Mac:

@Guido Wow, see that's pretty awesome.
Avatar 7:09am Brian in UK:

Nice one Guido.

Bill, wonder if you have the first Hazmat Modine album. I used to have a copy and stupidly lent it to the man who came to fix my computer. We got to talking of throat singers and I lent him two albums. The bastard never returned them. If you could find Bahamut of the first HM I would love to hear it.
Avatar 7:11am Bill Mac:

Puttin the sneaks on Bri, be back!
Avatar 7:21am Brian in UK:

Thanks, Bill. Dig the tuba.
Avatar 7:26am Brian in UK:

Well, maybe the tooba was a bit relaxed on that track.
  7:26am Mark R:

WFMU is the only station in the world where you can request a song and they'll play it almost instantly. Not true in all cases, but sometimes a DJ will go the extra mile to make it happen, and that's one of the many reasons people open their hearts and wallets every year to make sure this wonderful station stays on the air. PS Yes dear listeners, the WFMU Marathon is coming in a few weeks, start saving your Venti Soy Latte dollars up now!
Avatar 7:27am Bill Mac:

I looooove unsolicited testimony....
  7:27am Mark R:

This "Ohio Soul" comp. is a riot! So many great artists I never heard of!
  7:29am Mark R:

Full disclosure, Bill: I'm a fill-in DJ, too, but I'd be saying it anyway. Most radio stations don't give a damn what their listeners want, the DJs just follow the playlist they've been ordered to play. Forget about requesting a tune, let alone having it come up NEXT on the playlist!
Avatar 7:30am Bill Mac:

We're like a clearing house for this sort of thing. Old news to all but the uninitiated.... and I know who you are Mark!
  7:30am Mark R:

Toujours chic, indeed. I was embarrassingly old before I learned the correct pronunciation of "chic."
Avatar 7:31am Brian in UK:

@Mark R not sure what you are mentioning there. Is it a drink? There was a study here last week that had some high street coffee chain drinks with up to TWENTY FIVE spoons of sugar. So giving them up and donating is bleeding obvious.
Avatar 7:34am Brian in UK:

Bill. got to ask are you allow to feature in the Hoof 'n Mouth?
Avatar 7:44am Bill Mac:

Apparently I get some sort of carte blanche so yeah I'll be performing!
Avatar 7:46am Brian in UK:

Excellent. Did he just sing 'You better keep your legs tied together'.
Avatar 7:47am Brian in UK:

By the by, Stanley is still in India, back this coming week.
  7:50am Will:

Whatta gas to find you on the air this morning Bill! Miss your regular show but glad to see so many fill-ins. Zzzzero Hour is one of the Top 10 freeform shows of all time IMO (more non-solicitations)!
Avatar 7:51am Bill Mac:

@Brian Yes as a matter of fact he did~!
Avatar 7:51am Brian in UK:

In The Summertime by Mungo Jerry springs to mind on this track.

Mungo Jerry was one of TS Eliots cats made famous by the fragrant Andrew Lloyd-Webber.
Avatar 7:52am Bill Mac:

I pulled them both to play this morning!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:52am foofs:

Don't drink and drive, you crazy kids!
Avatar 7:53am Brian in UK:

Laughing out loud.
Avatar 7:53am Bill Mac:

Hi Will, yeah they been keeping me bizzy - wow thanks a lot!
Avatar 7:53am Bill Mac:

Thanks foofs!!!
Avatar 7:54am Brian in UK:

@foofs when I see that sign on our motorways the first thing that comes to mind is You may spill it.
  7:56am MONEYBAG$:

Mungo Jerry used to jam that out for 30-40 minutes at concerts. In my dreams.
Avatar 7:57am Brian in UK:

The Frank Sinatra song was the least twisting song EVER.
Avatar 8:00am Bill Mac:

@Moneybags I'd pay a dollar for that
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:01am Ken From Hyde Park:

Hi, Bill. Fancy meeting you here!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:03am foofs:

@Brian If people will insist on having it in a glass, best practice is to use a plastic one. Especially on rural roads.
Avatar 8:05am Brian in UK:

Platypus is the way forward.
Avatar 8:14am dale:

nice sounds mr. deejay. this band playing now stole the opening riff of the moody blues' the story in your eyes, however. i take prog rock umbrage
Avatar 8:16am Brian in UK:

Uther Pendragon, father of King Arthur. Or was that Arthur King who used to work down the gas works.
Avatar 8:17am dale:

i think it was the flour magnate, brian in uk
  8:21am Will:

This Blues Magoos cut is the greatest! More Farfisa organ!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:25am foofs:

Sexy BVs!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:26am foofs:

"He never said what his name was... He just kept making these... sounds..."
Avatar 8:29am Brian in UK:

There is a message for all of us.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:38am Rick from SC:

Hi Bill, I think this is the first time I've listened to your show in real time. Always enjoyable
Avatar 8:39am Bill Mac:

It's nice to be here at a normal time for a change
Avatar 8:40am Brian in UK:

Great to hear you on the wireless again Bill. I would willingly sell my children and house to hear you everyday.
The cheque (check) has cleared, thanks.
Avatar 8:41am Bill Mac:

Almost just like old times, except that I'm coherent. Glad to have you here matey!
Avatar 8:44am Sem Chumbo:

Loved this morning's show, Bill. Unexpected twists and turns, all good. See you next time, the gods willing.
Avatar 8:46am Bill Mac:

@Sem Hey same to you! It felt twisty and turny didn't it? Be safe, see you around.
  8:46am Station Manager Ken:

Does anybody have an Android phone loaded with the WFMU Android app? Can you report if it is working for you today?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:48am KevinfromBayRidge:

Morning all...The android app seems to be down for live play. Luckily I can listen on the pop-up.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:48am mauri:

Ken, just started the app to see and it doesnt seem to get connected. no text appearing just the graphics.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50am KevinfromBayRidge:

Saved show but not live or recently archived, Ken
Avatar 8:50am Brian in UK:

Until the next time, Bill.

Hello/Goodbye, Sem
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:51am Ken From Hyde Park:

The app plays the mono stream for me. The area that usually contains the song title says "null Mono Live" and the area at the bottom to look at comments & playlist is gray.
Avatar 8:51am Bill Mac:

Hunga dunga Brian, until next time
Avatar 8:52am Sem Chumbo:

Ditto, BiUK.
Avatar 8:53am Bill Mac:

Ok Folks, I'm packing up the towels and umbrellas. See you next time, sun or none....
  8:54am Station Manager Ken:

Thanks everybody. Confirming my fears.. Will get the android app fixed today.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:54am Ken From Hyde Park:

When I go to the home page in my browser, I type in www.wfmu.org and it automatically changes to just wfmu.org and http changes to https. Is that affecting the app?
  8:58am P-90:

Thanks, Bill! Come back soon!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:59am Guido from Cologne:

Thanks Bill and CU
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:59am foofs:
