G'TZAG, Joe and everybody! Is this going to be an OST theme show today? It's funny, just picked up 3 OSTs in my travels this weekend - "Across 110th Street", "Short Eyes" (underrated Curtis Mayfield soundtrack), and a reissue of Les Baxter's "Hell's Belles". |

duran duran stole it. |

![]() @Claw! Yes, I have heard. I think they have a sign on top of the locations proclaiming that it will be the Site Of The New Hammerjacks. |
![]() |
![]() Ken, pretty sure TV was first by years. |
![]() |
![]() Television was there looooong before Duran. |
![]() |
![]() I always liked Kix's Cold Blooded vid. It showed an attractive young lady going out, rocking out to Kix, smoking and dancing, and then going home by herself, and being happy. |
![]() |
![]() that's pretty damn cheap for that. |
![]() |
![]() @sphere - Yeah, it's gonna take over the building that's currently housing The Paradox. |

Dean:
I once spent a weekend hunting for the Sviatoslav Richter performance of Mussourgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition," a live recording from Sofia, Bulgaria, famous for his playing and the audience's incessant coughing and wheezing. It was nowhere to be found in the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area. I returned home and dropped into my friend's local record store, where a pile of classical used LPs, just acquired, sat on the counter. At the bottom of the pile? No, not "Little Johnny Jewel." It was the Richter LP. Fifty cents. | |

![]() Also Kix's Steve Whiteman used to have a death drop as good as any drag queen's. |

![]() The Super Bowl is this Sunday the 7th. Broncos versus the Panthers. That’s all I know in my quest to make basic small talk. |

I had this conversation about the Super Bowl with my wife. We both thought it had already happened this year. |
![]() |
![]() OK, cool; as long as the proper licensing and copyright arrangements are in place. |
![]() |
![]() I watched the NFC Championship Game. It was a little anticlimactic. Especially since I saw the game where the Panthers got beat. |
![]() |
![]() @Dean: That just goes to show you… Never explore the world and don’t leave home! |
![]() |
![]() Also there were a couple of good "frozen tundra" games this year. MN lost to Carolina when it was -3 out playing outside. that's real football. |
