Avatar Sun. 12/20/15 3:05am Jherweg:

No Don't tell me anything !
Avatar Sun. 12/20/15 3:06am JakeGould:

@Jherweg: Okay. I won’t.
  Sun. 12/20/15 3:08am Kafuka:

Morning Jon and listeners. Love the fall
Avatar Sun. 12/20/15 3:13am Jherweg:

Morning Everyone.......hi Kafuka!
Avatar Sun. 12/20/15 3:29am Simon P:

morning from worryingly warm UK
Avatar Sun. 12/20/15 3:35am JakeGould:

So what about the new “Star Trek: Beyond” trailer? Off limits?
Avatar Sun. 12/20/15 3:37am Jherweg:

I don't give a shit about Star trek really.
Avatar Sun. 12/20/15 3:38am Simon P:

Dead C -thanks!
Avatar Sun. 12/20/15 3:38am JakeGould:

@Jherweg: The new movies were passable to me, but this 3rd one… Oh man… The trailer… I will just say this… About the trailer… The WHOLE SOUNDTRACK to the trailer is… The Beastie Boys “Sabotage!” No other soundtrack past B.S. dudebro’ed up dialogue.
Avatar Sun. 12/20/15 3:39am Jherweg:

I'll have to go watch it.
Avatar Sun. 12/20/15 3:41am JakeGould:

I also had some really nice tacos tonight. New place so adding it to the list.
Avatar Sun. 12/20/15 3:42am Jherweg:

Tomorrow I'm going to go watch the Henry Rollins movie "He Never Died"
Avatar Sun. 12/20/15 3:44am Jherweg:

And by tomorrow I mean later today.
Avatar Sun. 12/20/15 3:45am JakeGould:

He Never Died according to IMDB: “A social outcast embarks on a bloody quest to save his long-lost daughter from a crime syndicate.” Total rip off of the plot of the new “Star Wars” film. Or that Liam Neeson “Not Without My Daughter Let Her Go” film they made a sequel too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 12/20/15 3:46am Alejandroool:

great sounds for me right now, enjoying the show muchly, thanks
Avatar Sun. 12/20/15 3:49am Jherweg:

Great thanks for checking in!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 12/20/15 3:53am Alejandroool:

of course
Swag For Life Member Sun. 12/20/15 3:56am sibeliuss:

chris from seattle checking in! first live show. lol been dying to hear what you have to say about star wars
Avatar Sun. 12/20/15 3:58am JakeGould:

FWIW, I just found this on YouTube—no new movie spoilers—but some genius composited all of the 6 Star Wars films over each other into one 6 layered video. Runs the full 2+ hours! www.youtube.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 12/20/15 3:59am Alejandroool:

saw that before, pretty wacky!
Avatar Sun. 12/20/15 4:00am JakeGould:

@Alehjandrool: I am floored by it! I want to convince some bar to show this on their TV sets all this week.
Avatar Sun. 12/20/15 4:06am Simon P:

that Dead C has all the essential ingredients for me a new year purchase coming up if it's still available?
Avatar Sun. 12/20/15 4:08am JakeGould:

The first two films—“Star Wars” and “The Empire Strikes Back”—are the only ones I care about. Gary Kurtz pushed some sane and believable hard-ish Sci-Fi. When they got rid of him… All the pandering stuff to make the films crassly target kids really went out of control.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 12/20/15 4:08am Alejandroool:

hah yes... I'd love to see the confusion if a bar was playing that... even wwithout the sound
Avatar Sun. 12/20/15 4:10am JakeGould:

@Alejandroool: It’s the kind of perfect background visuals. The part that syncs just well but just bad enough is the whole opening crawl. If I ran a place that showed this to patrons I’d want them to at least stare at that part.
Avatar Sun. 12/20/15 4:10am Jherweg:

It's available Simon!!
  Sun. 12/20/15 4:11am Kafuka:

Oh yes
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 12/20/15 4:12am Alejandroool:

maybe just that opening crawl on repeat... looping
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 12/20/15 4:14am Alejandroool:

when people do similar things (that 100 white albums, etc.) all at once, the resulting cacophony sounds like some mutated sludgy death metal
Avatar Sun. 12/20/15 4:16am JakeGould:

@Alejandroool: Yup. I really like the tech art world that uses that ability of tech to layer/multiply things to insane levels like that. Nice statement on the way media can be duplicated and is still different and looks cool and all that jazz.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 12/20/15 4:19am Alejandroool:

yes, lots of layers... results that are uniquely a result of those mashings. degradation of physical/digital media too
Swag For Life Member Sun. 12/20/15 4:30am sibeliuss:

My friend bill did an installation like that ("Ken Burns Says "Jazz" 3 Billion Times (actually 2.97 bn) in Under 3.5 Minutes"): www.youtube.com...
