Options December 1, 2015: DEAN WAREHAM & BRITTA PHILLIPS (Luna)
In the midst of winding down Luna's reunion tour (the band's first shows in over 10 years), Dean Wareham & Britta Phillips join Devon to discuss "Mistress America," the songwriting duo's latest film score and second for director Noah Baumbach (the first being 2005's "The Squid & The Whale"). The soundtrack, released on vinyl by Milan Records last Friday, is not the guitar-based, ethereal pop that we have all come to know and enjoy. Instead it's a synth-drenched 80s-throwback that still manages to maintain Dean & Britta's distinctive voice and spirit within all of the nostalgia.
