I guess you know I like this show a lot. If there are any new listeners out there, please consider pledging to this show in particular, and this station in general. It just keeps on coming, there's no stopping it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:16am pacific standard simon:

I keep hearing a voice in A to Austr that sounds like John Cale. Probably not.
Avatar 3:19am Jeff Conklin:

Thanks so much for the endorsement, Simon. Good morning, all. All UK folk/folk rock today....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25am pacific standard simon:

There is a Be Bop Deluxe connection to A to Austr, but not a Hawkwind connection, though that looked promising.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:32am pacific standard simon:

So the Linda Thompson thing was a sort of Nashville song-poem recording?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:40am pacific standard simon:

Or no.
Avatar 3:42am Jeff Conklin:

I guess, Simon?
Avatar 3:43am Jeff Conklin:

Mitch says "no", Simon
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:44am pacific standard simon:

Big Welsh ingredient in my lineage. Wish I understood the language.
Avatar 3:48am Jeff Conklin:

wow, this specialty show has scared all the commenters off?

  3:54am the infected foot:

morning Jeff:) cant sleep checking out your show for the first time tonight
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:55am pacific standard simon:

Except me, and I already gave. C'mon, people, keep propping this show up. Like all the other shows on WFMU, it's barely keeping its head above water. Unlike most of the others, it is on late at night and needs an extra night owl boost.
Avatar 3:58am Jeff Conklin:

Hey, INfected. You tuned in for a rare specialized show. hope you enjoy.

Avatar 5:03am BEAVO:

Thanks Jeff. Good choice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:05am Guido from Cologne:

i love "one world"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:28am Guido from Cologne:

One of my ever faves.
From when is this version?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:30am Guido from Cologne:

Weird, the applause on Davey Graham's recording seemed to be the same as recording i know, but the sound was totally different.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:33am Guido from Cologne:

Anyway the original EP was rare enough, to encourage Jimmy Page to claim a adoption of Graham's improvisation on an old them to be his composition (on Yardbirds "Little Games", with tablas added). He even was a professional copycat back then.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:43am Nasty Les:

There is a nice cover of that Mellow Candle track by Stephen Malkmus (think it was a bonus track on the special edition version of Pig Lib)
Avatar 5:53am the Canterbury wood-elf:

Oooh, what a playlist! Clocks went back here last night, which means I only get 10 minutes in the Ghetto this morning : (
Thank goddess for thee archives...
Avatar 6:00am the Canterbury wood-elf:

Beautiful ending. Thanks Jeff!
