A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

Avatar 9:01am riley:

good morning.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:08am Pale Son:

Ack! I haven't finished listening to last week's program yet! Got some catching up to do… Morning, all.
Avatar 9:10am riley:

@Pale Son Ack indeed. So much trouble, so little time. Hey Trouble, been overdosing on Zachary since last week's turn-on. What a step forward from Blue Rider, eh?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:11am Guido from Cologne:

Hi Trouble!
Autumn fashion of the year?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:13am Guido from Cologne:

i like the checkered calf warmers or whatever it is
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:19am Trouble:

time to start knitting kittens! i of coursei am too late to finish, never mind start, a sweater to wear to rhinebeck sheep and wool festival in mid october.
  9:22am Adrian in London:

Morning!/Lunchtime! I'm wearing merino, if you're doing a survey!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:23am Ken From Hyde Park:

@Trouble - I cut out a coupon from Sunday's paper for $3.00 off admission to the fair. Let me drop that into the mail for you now. www.sheepandwool.com

  9:34am Fred R:

Morning y'all!
  9:36am emily:

Dear Trouble! So happy to hear you live (again). Wanted to ask you, when you lived in Neuchatel--did you listen to the radio? I remember a great French station that played great music--but only for 2 hours a day (might have only been one day a week). Don't know the call letters but thinking you might have listened, too. xo ew
Avatar 9:38am Parq:

Hard to think of wearing knits when it's going to be 78 and mondo humid today, but nice to think of what's coming (we hope). Sheep and Wool coming up, eh?
Avatar 9:44am riley:

sorry for the cheesiness of this comment, but when you said "birdwalk", the image that sprung to mind is putting little birds on leashes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:45am sphere:

morning trouble and co. :)
Avatar 9:50am maja:

hello trouble hello all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:04am Greg from ZONE 5:

Avatar 10:06am glenn:

  10:10am Torbjørn:

Ah yes, the lovely accent of norwegians aged 60 and up. You mostly hear it during the Nobel prize ceremony or when our guys speak to the UN. Oh well, not that I'm a native speaker, either.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:19am Andrew Waterloo:

There have been years where there has been a significant Norwegian presence at Guelph Jazz Festival here in Ontario.
  10:20am suea:

Did she just talk in reverse?
  10:21am Torbjørn:

Regarding government funding of artists, I would say that there is also a streak of the social-democratic idea from the thirties and out; that art is good and should be for the common people. "Rikskonsertene" is a good example, the state at a central level arranges a series of touring concerts around parts of the country that doesn't see visiting artists a lot. It's a bit strange to see free-form jazz way out in the woods, but it's quite brilliant in a way as well.
Avatar 10:26am βrian:

Dexter's is great music to smooch by.

Hello Trouble.
Talking of knitting, my wife is off to the show this week, to be opened by two Norwegians! No jazz will be evident.

@Brian No, I haven't. Will get round to it at some point. Did I ever tell you that my wife has ridden the Wall of Death?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:53am Lewis:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:54am Adrian in London:

@Lewis with a bit of 22 Pistepirkko thrown in for good measure. Lovely song.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:54am Brian in UK:
