Avatar 3:25am Jherweg:

Now all we have to do is get Bernie sanders Elected and all will be right with the world!!
Avatar 3:25am Bazinge:

Brilliant result yesterday. Faith in humanity restored.
Avatar 3:26am Jherweg:

Europeans should be donating to the Sanders campaign, the fate of the world depends on it.
Avatar 3:29am Simon P:

C'mon Bernie!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:32am Ike:

I like the Sanders platform but it's way too early for this shit. Way, way, way too early. Polls this early in the cycle don't mean shit. Less than shit.
Avatar 3:37am Jherweg:

Yes true, I'm trying to stay optimistic though..
  3:42am greysquad:

true it's early in the polls... let's not forget that obama upset clinton in iowa back in 2008... and the media was saying he was "unelectable" too.

Avatar 3:51am Simon P:

Corbyn was THE rank outsider but lit up the grassroots and tapped into the huge nationwide resentment against neoliberal policies. No one has any illusions that he faces a massive battle aginst the forces of the right even in his own party to get elected as PM but he sure as hell's gonna try and we're with him all the way. The battle's been won but that's just the beginning.
Avatar 4:01am Jherweg:

I feel like Bernie Sanders is even more of an outsider.
Avatar 4:16am Simon P:

Well Corbyn got hammered by 95% of the media and all the old guard of his own party, they were queuing up to put him down. He tapped into the original values that the Labour Party stood for and put his faith in that and showed that there's still a hell of a lot of folks that still share these values. If Bernie puts his faith in the people he has a chance there must be a huge well spring of discontent that can be turned into votes. But I realise big money calls the shots more in US. The Tories will have a massive advantage when it comes to money in 2020 also.
Avatar 4:21am Bazinge:

Corbyn was booked in to appear on the Andrew Marr show this morning but cancelled after he won the leadership race. Two fingered salute to the media.
  4:27am greysquad:

Corbyn's election is huge! it represents a total rejection of Tony Blairs (and Clinton's) left-centrist policy. Sanders represents the American equivalent (let's hope so!).
Avatar 4:28am Simon P:

@Bazinge ha ha. Re media and Leveson etc, Watson's a safe pair of hands!
Avatar 4:30am Bazinge:

Has anyone checked in on Tony since the result? I'm concerned.
Avatar 4:32am Simon P:

he lies in a shrivelled heap
Avatar 4:39am Bazinge:

He's also go the Chilcott enquiry to look forward to.
  4:44am Max:

I like the gas
  4:44am Eric:

Avatar 4:44am Simon P:

  4:45am Tomek:

I care! I love this intermission background sound. Actually I'd love to have 60 minute recording of it :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:45am Ike:

What, the zoned-out background drone hum bed music? I like it. It suits this timeslot very well.
  4:46am JoeRay:

I like your bed music. That does sound like record noise in the background.
  4:46am Kafuka:

Yes it sounds like your voice in viniyl. Love gas, don't change!
  4:47am greysquad:

i like the gas... perfect bed music. (sleeping gas?).
Avatar 4:47am Jherweg:

Well I Guess I'll keep it!
  4:49am horredgrones:

That's record static.
Avatar 4:51am Simon P:

re Jazz, Jon, you could always revisit Ayler and work out from there you wouldn't go far wrong, plenty of great stuff you've played on past shows!
  4:52am greysquad:

i'm hearing the crackling too... but I'm listening on the interwebs. is it coming over on the radio too?
Avatar 4:53am Simon P:

it them aliens getting ready to invade
Avatar 4:54am Jherweg:

I'm not playing a record very strange
  4:56am greysquad:

Sounding much better now...
Avatar 4:57am Jherweg:

I just unplugged a few things,,, hopefully that got rid of it, oh well a little ambient crackle isnt going to ruin the show,
  5:00am horredgrones:

Bardo broke the static. All gone.
  5:00am Kafuka:

Impossible to ruin this show. Loved that miaux song
Avatar 5:13am BEAVO:

I don't hear it at all
  5:13am greysquad:

gone now... but slight crackling during voice over.
Avatar 5:15am Jherweg:

Yes I think I isolated the problemo.
Avatar 5:16am Jherweg:

Hope it didn't fuck up the show too much .
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:16am joeray:

The static did stop when you turned down the bed music. I do not hear it at all when you are playing selections, it only seems to occur when the background music is on. Could it be that particular cd player?
Avatar 5:16am Simon P:

you hoovered up them aliens
  5:17am greysquad:

no problemo!
Avatar 5:19am Jherweg:

Lucky for me it's hard to distinguish the regular noise from the superfluous noise on this show.
Avatar 5:21am Simon P:

all part of its blurred and obscured nature
