I'm also thrilled 'bout cracking open Scott's Brazil nut! Been heartily enjoying my Swag!
Avatar 3:09pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

@Scott, your 2015 Adopter has been having a Summer of health troubles, so send him some good airwave vibes. I bet he's gonna be pissed that I posted this.

Your "Nuts for Brazil" premium is awesome Scott! Just got it in two days ago.
Avatar 3:11pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Hell, I've still got Kenzo's Extravaganza to get through from last year: DVD of mp3 files of pretty much his entire life on earth. Blimey.
Avatar 3:11pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

It's about ten million hours of material...
Avatar 3:12pm steve:

this is some hot sludgy action

Glory, beersies, and the power of preemies.
Avatar 3:13pm Cheri Pi:

Damn, Kenzo's getting old.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:13pm Matt from Springfield:

@RTD: I appreciate the thought and effort all DJs/hosts put into their premiums, but when you get boatloads of it like me, it seems a bit "self-indulgent" to send out a massive *data disc* of stuff that will take me months to get through, considering all the other stuff I'm receiving!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:14pm chris:

\m/ Scott! All! \m/
Avatar 3:15pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Hebosagil.... sounds like something requiring a prescription. Dig.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:18pm chris:

Avatar 3:21pm Cheri Pi:

Side effects may include rain-making, vomiting and tripping balls with brother JT
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:21pm Matt from Springfield:

@chris: Ha, it's why some of us have suggested hiring listeners for 168 hours of the week - not only to listen to all the streams for us, but also I guess to plow through all the premiums for us too!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22pm Matt from Springfield:

"If tripping balls lasts longer than 4 days, call your shaman immediately. He or she may give you ibogaine to re-orient your trip. Note that this may take an additional 4 days..."

Avatar 3:35pm steve:

i read the recent Johnny Rotten memoir. its like 600 pages and comes with a warning from the publisher that he didn't let anyone edit it, which is well earned.
  3:36pm Bubba:

@Steve - Yes It is a great read.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:37pm Scott Williams:

@cheyenne, yup!! Slits coming up laterz
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:38pm Matt from Springfield:

The "tripping balls" Doors song, yes!
Quite a trip this afternoon, and we're only in the first set!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:40pm Matt from Springfield:

"The song begins, "Not to touch the earth, not to see the sun..." These are subchapters of the 60th chapter of The Golden Bough by James Frazer. The chapter is called "Between Heaven and Earth", with subchapter 1, "Not to Touch the Earth", and subchapter 2, "Not to See the Sun". These subchapters detail taboos against certain people (generally royalty or priests) walking upon the ground or having the sun shine directly upon them. Frazer had noted that these superstitions were recurring throughout many primitive cultures, and appeared to be related to traditions and taboos concerning menarche and the thereby following female initiation rites."
Avatar 3:43pm Cheri Pi:

I like the Doors.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:45pm Polyus:

I don't believe in doors, they keep people apart.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:45pm Matt from Springfield:

I should take a look at that unedited memoir. Do you think libraries would carry it, or would I need to purchase elsewhere?
Avatar 3:49pm barrie:

Haha, steve, are you referencing the Kids in the Hall sketch? One of my all time favourite pieces...
Avatar 3:55pm steve:

yeah! KITH is the best. timeless. i cant believe how well those old skits (like the Doors fan) have aged.

But the TV sketch is even better, thanks to Kevin McDonald's befuddled Depeche Mode fan/possible Doors convert.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:15pm Matt from Springfield:

Shadowy Men On A Shadowy Planet, KITH house band - normally surf rock, probably playing this dead-on Doors pastiche quite well.
Avatar 4:15pm KP:

No bass?

@SSS: No, but you can tell us now! And I'll tell you again!
  4:35pm Anonymous Coward:

Should have known Scott would play the doors fan routine as soon as I wasn’t around to hear it. Music was not Shadowy Men etc. but was arranged by the producer Bob Wiseman. Shame based man is a great comedy music album in its entirety. Random quote from memory: “Our love is like licking the ass of a dead squirrel lying bloated in the sun but also, there’s a negative side?”
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:36pm Matt from Springfield:

Haven't played my Grand Prize from Scott yet, but I have enjoyed looking at the Reader's Digest LP "Love Is Blue", record 2! I can play side 2 off the original source! I'm psyched! (TY Scott!!!!!!)
  4:36pm foofs:

It annoys me that you don't get space music playing in shops.

Although they did have the Blue Velvet soundtrack on at 5am in a 24h Asda in Aberystwyth back in about 1994. That was fairly spacy IIRC...
