Ahoy, shipmates. Greetings, Daniel.
Avatar 9:12pm Mayuko:

this music is very comforting especially after 9 hours working day without eating.

[cetacean click-whistle greeting], fleep
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:12pm Ĩkє:

What a coincidence, I've just spent 9 hours eating without working. I'd rather do what you did.
Avatar 9:19pm Mayuko:

Ike, you have a tough life.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:23pm steve:

heya folks
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:23pm melinda:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:26pm steve:

in the same place Mayuko! total sleep and health-free madness in preparation of Monday morning product launch...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:27pm Ĩkє:

It's going to get a lot tougher if I go insane from being so terrible at job interviews. Maybe I'll send my cat to interview in my place for the next one. She'll make a better impression.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:32pm Daniel Blumin:

Greetings to all freeformists! Ike, don't forget to tamp down the pink tie and mousse combo. It's killed many an applicant.
Avatar 9:40pm Mayuko:

oh no steve! I think my day was much easier than yours, just without eating!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:42pm steve:

Ike - weird advice but I find its great to exercise or do something fun right before a job interview or stressful meeting
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:50pm steve:

s'ok Mayuko! my daily life working on the same project all day 7 days a week for 2 months has become so surreal and manic its kind of exciting.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:51pm Īke:

Thanks, Steve! Maybe before the next one I'll do Gertrude's Nose. Wait, get your mind out of the gutter, all of youse.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:53pm Daniel Blumin:

Īke, whatever you do, good luck!
Avatar 10:01pm Mayuko:

steve, AND you do those LONG walks in between that crazy work?!?! Please don't get too excited and take care not to damage your health!!!
  10:05pm spleeng:

Daniel, first time I could pick-up WFMU in a long time and the first time I heard you since WNYU. Sounds great man.
Avatar 10:05pm Kurt Gottschalk:

the crickets sure couldn't help buddy holly...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:06pm steve:

think I make it all work because I drink pureed veggies all day and run a few miles every other day.
Avatar 10:09pm bobdoesthings:

goood evening
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:09pm fleep:

Luau shirt, cheap Target shorts, flukeflops. Yeah, stylin.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:10pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...verily, I shall lurketh no more...
Avatar 10:11pm JakeGould:

FWIW, I used to do the long megawalks like crazy even when I worked like 9-6… It helps with stress, but it’s not a sustainable stress solution. Eating better and resting works better in the long run.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:11pm steve:

thanks for the concern Mayuko... it all ends Monday!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:13pm Daniel Blumin:

spleeng! Great to have you here! It's been a while then! Welcome! Hola, Kurt G! Welcome back from yr travels! Greetz bob and the lurker/nonlurker massive!
Avatar 10:15pm bobdoesthings:

behind the scenes can you see the # of lurkers?! I wonder how many..... SHOW YOURSELVES!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:17pm Andrew Waterloo:

I just got here.
  10:19pm spleeng:

I heard that "This Kind Of Punishment" track and thought, "Wow! This reminds of me that Peter Jefferies album I bought in the 80's." And yeah well.....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:21pm Daniel Blumin:

I can see them - all 123,456 of them! There's even one in the Vatican, bob! (But perhaps I'm imagining things?) And I can't believe I left Foreigner's "Records" out when compiling my tape from Columbia House list! With Heartbeat City that makes 8 fer a penny. Sounds about right!
Avatar 10:22pm bobdoesthings:

@db - sounds specific enough, must be correct.
Avatar 10:22pm JakeGould:

I hear WFMU that magic mirror like the one the lady used on “Romper Room.”
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:32pm Andrew Waterloo:

that was always kind of scary
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:48pm Uncle Michael:

Jake, we have the mirror *and* Roddy Piper sunglasses.
Avatar 10:50pm bobdoesthings:

this third eye foundation is pretty great
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:51pm steve:

yeah! love this
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:57pm fleep:

Nah mean?
Avatar 10:58pm JakeGould:

@UncleMichael: You also have that magic flute from H.R. Puffinstuff, so hey.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:08pm Daniel Blumin:

Apologies fer the comment lackathon, ya'lls - on a comet swirling around the studio trying to hold on fer dear life!
Avatar 11:09pm tonyb:

i see you're able to avoid that late '60s stuff from earlier so far

let's keep it like that : )
Avatar 11:14pm Mayuko:

Because Eating Better was recommended on this board, I have been eating celeries one after another. This set has been going quite well with concentrating on this minimal repetitive activity.
Avatar 11:15pm bobdoesthings:

eating better is always recommended
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:19pm Ike:

There are comets in the studio again? Pfft. Y'all need to get some cosmic exterminators in there to deal with that.
Avatar 11:19pm JakeGould:

@Mayuko: Congrats on eating better! It helps! My new “snack” is cooking rice and mixing in good quality vegetables. Might sound hippish, but sometimes that is the best thing. Also long naps help as well. I work in front of a screen most of the time and it’s really tiring. So long naps and then walks and even going to galleries or museums to “refocus” my eyes works.
  11:20pm Karina:

Hello Daniel! Nice sets today!
Avatar 11:26pm Ryab:

This reminds me of Aphex Twin's recent release.
Avatar 11:28pm Mayuko:

Yah, bobdoesthings, Jake, seriously! I have been feeling so tired recently I figured I really need to eat better. Getting less rice (which is often hard for Japanese people!) & more veggies and fruits energize you much quicker than I thought.
Avatar 11:28pm bobdoesthings:

::crosses fingers:: please turn into one of those doggie remixes
  11:29pm P-90:

@steve: Good Luck with finally rolling out the mysterious new product on Monday. Big Question: are you going to tell us what it's all about after its official debut? also: Do Demon Kitties have special dietary requirements?
Avatar 11:31pm JakeGould:

FWIW, I really felt the urge for a steak today but couldn’t get organic. I was just lazy. So I bought some cheap non-organic meat from a local place. And this is what was weird: Non-organic meat has so much hormones in it if you eat it like out of the blue, you suddenly feel a rush in a few minutes like Popeye eating spinach… Not a good thing, but affirms what I know about non-organic beef.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:31pm Tome:

great show Daniel ,, had to come inside ,, too nice out ,!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:36pm Daniel Blumin:

Thank you, Tome + Karina!!! bob, the remixes must wait!
Avatar 11:37pm JakeGould:

@Mayuko: FWIW, I am now eating more rice instead of just plain white bread and all that. My Eastern European/American gut has different needs.
Avatar 11:46pm coelacanth:

greetings Daniel and all
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:48pm steve:

P-90 - might be bad form to blatantly self promote on here but you can find info on my friendship society profile facebook link...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:49pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

The 'Health Food Store Philosophy', if you will, is generally that the less Processed a food is, the better - as that is what we evolved eating & it therefore suits us as organisms: the closer it is to how it was in nature when we eat it, the better.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:50pm Daniel Blumin:

hiya, coela!
Avatar 11:53pm coelacanth:

glad i missed this diet/health conversation!
Avatar 11:54pm JakeGould:

@coelacanth: It wasn’t that deep unless you count me eating non-organic meat and feeling the hormones kick in.
Avatar 11:57pm coelacanth:

that's good. .. i just get too into it and i don't think it's a good idea but it's my main field of study.
Avatar 11:58pm bobdoesthings:

ah thanks daniel!! cool stuff
Avatar 11:58pm coelacanth:

2-1/2 songs. that's what i get for being late.

Thanks Daniel.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:59pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- TY Daniel Blumin !
  12:00am P-90:

@Daniel: extra-choice show today! much appreciated, always. Sundays, Fridays, whatever...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:06am Daniel Blumin:

Thank you freeform peoples fer lending an ear or two and thank you the mighty archivists fer traversing the time-space continuum!
