Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!

Thank you for listening to this episode of The Dusty Show. It was all digital. I recorded the interviews on my cell phone. Mixed it to a laptop and Garageband. I miss my dual cassette machine. I need to get it fixed. That's the last I'll say about that.

Anyway ... thanks to those I interviewed. I guess I could say more, but I'm tired just now. These playlists take forever to do. It's Friday tomorrow. Fabio's coming by! We're hanging out! Better get some rest. Hope you do the same. Summer's going by fast, So fast. The years are really flying now, in a hurry to be spent, in a hurry to hurdle on headlong forever into forever and ever. Always remember. CP871599

It's Clay Nation! Hey!

The Hat! Hiya Clay and Pidgies.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:05pm Ike:

Ken and Irwin both played some of your excellent original material from Clay's Classics VII yesterday! It was great. But this Foghat is worse than Hitler and Pol Pot combined.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:05pm cory:

hola Clay. I get to listen live for the first time in months!! #FortWayneShakeys
Avatar 6:06pm Clay Pigeon:

Ken and Irwin? Wow! Cool! Hey Ike. I know what you mean about the Foghat. I think it's a good song, though. Pretty sophisticated by Foghat standards. And I always love Lonesome Dave Peverett. RIP
Avatar 6:06pm dale:

loved the one with the lady with corn pads in her purse
Avatar 6:07pm Clay Pigeon:

Hangin' out at that sweet Fort Wayne Shakey's, listening to WOWO in your booth, eating your Patty Melt.
  6:08pm voyager:

This guy is great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:10pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Shakey's has patty melts now? www.shakeys.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:10pm Ike:

I was sort of joking there. Of course, nothing is actually worse than Hitler. Except maybe Stalin. And Steely Dan. Ha ha.
Avatar 6:11pm Clay Pigeon:

Oh s--t that's right. It's Pizza. Brain addled by 2.5 hours of sleep. Feels like acid.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:11pm Ike:

As far as this sort of thing goes, I prefer Failure to Silverchair. Failure never got much recognition. Check them out.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:12pm SSS:

Howdy everyone.
Avatar 6:13pm Slick Goldtooth:

Heya Clay and fellow pigeonaires!
  6:14pm fjolla:

Yeah Clay, what are you gonna say about Pure Massacre? No accusing sound attached by any means! Or sometimes yes and sometimes no!?!?
Avatar 6:15pm hambone:

  6:16pm daveknapik:

Oh hi Clay! You interviewed me last night in Union Square. :D
Avatar 6:16pm Clay Pigeon:

melinda ... fjolla ... new names!! And ofcourse the AccuVeterans are always respected. VAn Dyke and Silverchair. I like the thought of it.
  6:17pm Listener Robert:

And I knew Dave Mandl from the Libertarian Book Club. I wonder if this acquaintance at Northwestern U. (where I used to play games in the late 1970s) knew Dave Mandle thru anarchist circles.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:17pm steve:

hey Clay!
Avatar 6:18pm Clay Pigeon:

  6:19pm Listener Robert:

Did I stick an e on the end of Mandl, or was that auto-correct?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:19pm melinda:

I've been here before but haven't posted in a while. Hi!

Sing it Clay! This recording of "Happy Day" had a soothing effect during some of the most unstable, uncertain days in the late 60s
Avatar 6:37pm Clay Pigeon:

Good, P-90. Me, too. It makes me feel good. GOOD 2cu, my friend!
  6:39pm daveknapik:

America is already run like a business ;)
  6:50pm P-90:

I just feel like I should mention the name of Dorothy Combs Morrison, the lead voice on "O Happy Day" in 1967 who is still around and singing. That song was quite a hit on the radio when the world seemed to be spinning so wildly that the center might not hold.
Avatar 6:50pm Marcel M:

Ah! A Trump suporter!
Avatar 6:50pm Slick Goldtooth:

funk yeah! Get some dancehall on this show like Linval Thompson
Avatar 6:51pm Polyus:

Kindness is a watchword of the Trump campaign, yes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:52pm melinda:

@daveknapik Indeed! Also, Bernie isn't the longest stannding member of Congress but maybe the white hair makes it seem so.
Avatar 6:52pm Hugh C:

I have about 35 Mormon cousins, 1st, 2nd 3rd in SLC. My uncle,(the hypocrite) was a tobacconist, sold tobacco & girly mags to the gentiles. He was a Jersey soldier who met a Mormon nurse in London, during WWII
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:55pm Fuzzy:

@Slick: As a former Utah barkeep, I can confirm the electronic booze-dispensing apparatus.
Avatar 6:56pm Slick Goldtooth:
