Cuneiform records. They go through needles at an alarming rate.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:34am Jeff Golick:

Possibly Duke...possibly Miles' mute? But for me, I'd get Monk in fewer notes, I'd wager.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:39am Doug Schulkind:

You can recognize Monk in the half-beat of silence before the first note. No one used silence like he did.
Avatar 10:42am βrian:

Well, there's Mr. Cage, of course.
Avatar 10:44am Peter Nelson:

re. Remembering Mountains, I thought it a quite staggeringly inept tribute album to a wonderful singer. Diane Cluck the only one to do her justice.

@ Gary....cheers!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:49am Doug Schulkind:

@still b/p
Cuneiform is a sacred text factory.

@Peter Nelson
I rather appreciated how many of the tracks on Remembering Mountains played completely against type. The tracks that fail for me are the ones where the vocalists try to sound like or evoke Dalton. And I am a Sweet Mother K.D. adorer of top-rank.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:51am Doug Schulkind:

Cheesy commercial shite can be deep and lovely in spite of itself (not that the CCS on Remembering Mountains reaches that depth, of course).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:53am Jeff Golick:

To quote Seinfeld: What is this salty discharge?
