Avatar 12:04pm Duane:

Hello All! Welcome aboard!
Avatar 12:05pm Cecile:

no, I have some Braziliam album with a black and purple cover. Maybe it is Edu Lobo. I dunno.
Avatar 12:06pm Cecile:

it is! It's Phillips, presenting Edu Lobo. And it's scratched to hell.
Avatar 12:09pm Jan Audun Uretsky:

Greetings Duane! Greetings All!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10pm chris:

  12:17pm Ari:

Nice backing band here, Duane. Anyone notable?
Avatar 12:17pm Jan Audun Uretsky:

Gangster Lean!
  12:17pm phat:

Who the hell is this drummer on this Geller track?
Avatar 12:18pm Jan Audun Uretsky:

The playlist is not updating properly atm...
Avatar 12:19pm Jan Audun Uretsky:

The Herb Geller was two tracks ago
Avatar 12:20pm Duane:

Hey Ari: Well, besides the vocalist and bandleader, the band are all Danish, Dutch or Belgian or Swedish. The drummer is Alex Riel..and Jan it's all one track the same one:)
Avatar 12:20pm Jan Audun Uretsky:

Oh!!! LOL
  12:20pm phat:

Damn, that drummer! I'm on a huge internet delay, too. And wow, the same track!
  12:22pm Ari:

There were some great cats playing nearly anonymously in Europe. Most of the 1970s George Russell albums were played were European musicians (most notably, Terje Rypdal) and there is some mighty fine jamming on those discs.

Avatar 12:25pm Claw!:

Avatar 12:26pm Cecile:

I didn't yet. I was on a big time Carcassone app jag and did nothing but that yesterday.
Avatar 12:28pm Claw!:

Mmkay. Just make sure you aren't drinking any liquids when you get around to it. I cannot be held responsible for any computer-damaging spit-takes. ;-P
Avatar 12:29pm Cecile:

I did see Football City Nights or whatever its' called the other day. It was painfully funny.

  1:05pm Ari:

Duane, is it just me, or does the bass line sound like a sped-up version of Gap Band's "Open Up Your Mind"?

Avatar 1:08pm Duane:

kumar: HAHA! There are mp3's floating around..a lot of 'em
Avatar 1:08pm Claw!:

Avatar 1:09pm still b/p:

Would Mosco make that Happy Birthday royalty free...as an alternative to the traditional Happy Birthday that requires caution or requires payments to the (maybe) Scroogey villains holding disputed rights?
Avatar 1:16pm Claw!:

Duane, this set has been *deadly*, Man. A straight KILLAH.

I sang 5 Madonna tracks last night to a crowd of three in Chinatown. Working off this hangover. My friend said I was this close *fingers so close together* to sounding like Madonna. I believe it.

Avatar 1:46pm Jan Audun Uretsky:

White girls can sing sometimes ;)
  1:49pm phat:

Sounds like a Steely Dan side project!
  1:50pm Bob:

Everything I do is gonna be funky (from now on)! Whatever mix was played about 30 minutes ago was great. I've heard the vocalist before but don't know who it is. But, then again, it took 15 years from the time I heard The Message to find out who GM Flash was!
  1:51pm Ari:

Remarkable track from when people actually sang about the tough times. Now, especially re NYC, it's all about the glamour and excess and money. But enjoying the vibe, grooving and getting funky wasn't mutually exclusive from recognizing that stuff gets tough, at times.
Avatar 2:07pm Jan Audun Uretsky:

I haven't listend to SA music in such a long time… Nice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:17pm thriftstoreleather:
