Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!

Thanks for listening to this episode of The Dusty Show my dear friend listener. As you may or may not have noticed, I have been slacking somewhat on doing my playlists in the last few weeks. This is NOT good. I could flog myslef and say it is laziness, but it is more than that. What exactly, I'm not sure. Tired. Unmotivated. Any number of things. All of this has culminated in an undercurrent of worry on my part, that I am losing the spark necessary to continue. I feel somewhat sparked, actually. If you must know, I have been staying up later than EVER on Wednesday nights to finsih the latest programs. They usually entail going out on Tuesday for interviews after work from 6:30pm - 9:30pm. Coming home and dumping down the interviews from micro-cassette onto my laptop. At that point I begin going through and editing each interview. Cutting out the flab and a lot of the uhs and ahs that can be totally annoying after 734 uhs and ahs. Then I have to string the interviews together with music and soundbytes and whatever. The last three Wednesday night/Thursday mornings I have been up until 7:30am, 9:30am (a new record) and 8:00am consecutively. This means I call into my day job and tell them I am not coming in until 12:30pm. So I get maybe 3 hours of bad sleep, drag myself to work, get off at 4:30 - take the PATH train to Jersey City, go on the air with Fabio in a state of near psychotic sleep deprivation, and then air the Dusty Show. It's greuling! I DO enjoy it, though. Perhaps I am not "mixing it up" enough? I have just been doing what I do and hoping it connects somehow. At any rate, I thank you for checking in and for taking an interest. I appreciate it. Until next time, take care and always remember ..... CPnyc7211599

Evening, Pidge & Pigeonnaires!
  6:04pm Gee Lampa:

Hello, Clay and friends!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:05pm dale:

it would be cool if bob ross had some sexual perversions or liked to watch like bob crane
Avatar 6:05pm Clay Pigeon:

Hello! Another week ... good 2cu all!
  6:05pm Tim:

Avatar 6:05pm Cecile:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:06pm dale:

  6:06pm Dean:

Drove past San Quentin over the weekend. Said, "Hello!"
Avatar 6:08pm Clay Pigeon:

Always liked San Quentin better than Folsom for some reason. Love them both, though. Happy to see your names up there glisteners!
  6:09pm Gee Lampa:

What a carnival barker.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:11pm dale:

how's delaware county clay? lot of good yard sales and fleas i'll bet.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:11pm Carmichael:

@Dean: I noticed they tore down the bridge that Dirty Harry stood on when the schoolbus drove under it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:11pm Polyus:

I remember hearing X -Ray Burns wonder if Bob Ross was secretly so full of rage, over inspiring thousands of bad aspiring artists, that he went home and burned himself with lit cigarettes.
  6:11pm Dean:

Fuck Bill Gates, fuck Steve Jobs, and fuck Pandora!
  6:12pm Marcel M:

What's up Clay!
Avatar 6:12pm Clay Pigeon:

Nice time of year up there, dale. Hey Marcel!
  6:13pm V Priceless:

Hey Clay!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:13pm dale:

there's a good documentary about ginger on netflix. he's a crazy sum'bitch!
  6:13pm Dean:

@Carmichael: I don't know the DH movies. All I know is SQ looks from the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge like a friggin' resort. I know better, of course, but I bet there are zillions of people aching to level that facility, for very different reasons.
  6:13pm Marcel M:

Fuck Pandora but praise her box!
  6:14pm P-90:

Hi Clay! These interviews just get better and better. This may be the first expert I've heard in "the media" suggest that the NYSE and WSJ site crashes last week might have been someone's "misadventure."
  6:15pm Marcel M:

Is that your name? Thursday night at six… You're a smooth operator Clay!
Avatar 6:15pm Cecile:

Rush nerds.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:15pm SeanG:

I am sitting here singing along with a song I haven't heard since 1984, and realizing I still know all the words.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:17pm common:

clay and everyone. hello. clay, so good with that guy about rush and drummers.
  6:17pm Gee Lampa:

Any escape might help to smooth the unattractive truth.
Avatar 6:18pm Clay Pigeon:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:19pm Carmichael:

It may take some Status Quo to get 'er running again.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:20pm Ken From Hyde Park:

It's a Rush party! I'd vote for that.
  6:20pm Dean:

Or Mahogany Rush. That'll please everybody!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:21pm Mike East:

I don't remember them looking for apartments in the hunger games
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:22pm dale:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:22pm Polyus:

Scott Walker without a doubt.
  6:23pm Dean:

Walker can take on radical Islamists IFF they are elderly women who like to sing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:26pm common:

hall and oats! thanks for the philly shout out, clay!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:27pm Ike:

Good interviews today! And Johnny Cash and the Beatles -- I can't argue with that.
  6:28pm Ocher Ogre:

It's like performance art with Trump, but the other potential 'Leaders' should be disgusted and appalled by his blatant racism and say so publicly.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:30pm common:

and the 2600!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:31pm dale:

whatever happened to amiga?
  6:31pm Dean:

Blah blah Turing Machine blah blah Vannevar Bush blah blah...

  6:34pm Marcel M:

People are friendly in Boston only if you are a frat boy
  6:35pm JakeGould:

@dale: Chowduh!
  6:36pm JakeGould:

I have a funny feeling Hillary will win, but Bernie Sanders is really a decent guy with a decent push it seems.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:39pm SeanG:

Avatar 6:39pm Clay Pigeon:

President Pantsuit made me laugh.
  6:39pm JakeGould:

Maybe if Donald Trump can keep on opening his mouth we can all benefit?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:40pm Carmichael:

Fuzzy, I survived Nixon. You can certainly survive Billary.
  6:40pm JakeGould:

President Kaftan?
  6:42pm JakeGould:

@Carmichael: We survived Nixon and Reagan’s bastard son… George H.W. Bush. We need something new.
Avatar 6:44pm steve:

haha. i just start laughing any time i hear half a second into Trump's shouting
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:44pm SeanG:

the Bush family are the worst
  6:45pm V Priceless:

No bike race for Trump. He's cornered the clown car market.
  6:45pm iris:

I'm enjoying the music tonight Clay! Nice mix!
Avatar 6:46pm Clay Pigeon:

TY iris! :>)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:46pm Fuzzy:

That people even talk about Trump for president pretty much says it all about the US political system.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:47pm Polyus:

V Priceless with the comment of the day. Copyright that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:47pm Fuzzy:

Franken/Stein in 2016!
  6:48pm Gee Lampa:

It's pretty simple. He appeals to the racist republican base. End of story.
  6:50pm V Priceless:

Bill Maher's Trump editorials are brilliant.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:51pm common:

@ Polyus: I'll have my legal team get on that, stat! Thanx for the suggestion!
  6:56pm Katy:

I almost managed to get my bf to buy this ancient car which had been Thom Yorke's first car. Sadly just a grand over budget tho
  6:56pm Katy:

For some people everything did start with Radiohead
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:57pm Marcel M:

For some people history starts with themselves I guess Katy
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:58pm Greg from Bloomfield:

Thanks, Clay!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:58pm SeanG:

  6:58pm JakeGould:

So happy I managed to avoid Radiohead… Never liked them.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:58pm Carmichael:

Everything started with Status Quo.
  6:59pm V Priceless:

Thanks CP!
Avatar 6:59pm Clay Pigeon:

Never been a Radiohead disciple, but that song is very cool.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:59pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Out of all the dusty shows out there, this one is the dustiest.

If it sounds good I like it, and don't care 'who came first'
  7:01pm JakeGould:
