Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!

AND a shout to Don Knotts. Textbook Pidge.

JakeGould:

G.G. Allin is just a freak show. Sid Vicious was a sad fanboy. Iggy Pop was a great artist; he knew who he was and what others wanted and didn’t just alienate people or worship idols.

clay! sorry i missed some finishin movin
  6:38pm
JakeGould:

Gwen Stefani is cool. Cooler than Green Day if you ask me.

"Jonah" became the star of the show-- didn't see that coming, but he legit earned it
Avatar 6:43pm
steve:

i recently read the John Lydon book and then The London's Dreaming Tapes - the Sex Pistols wall of guitar sound is apparently because they recorded on a 24 track and like 20 of the tracks on each was guitar overdubs!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:45pm

styx! saw that cover you posted clay!

I once had a roommate whose elderly, cranky, incontinent cat was named Styx. I think I'd rather hang out with the cat than listen to that band though.

Pete from Boston (and NJ):

I love "Video." Electric Dreams was the story of the Nest and similar products, 25 years early (or rather, those items showed up 25 years after promised).
Avatar 6:53pm
Carmichael:

Is this ELO2, or regular ELO. I lost touch with them after New World Record.
  6:53pm
JakeGould:

“Electric Dreams” was great. www.youtube.com...
  6:54pm
spodiodi:

Those products existed then.

Bud Cort: bond company stooge in life aquatic with Zissou.

I just wish a genuine metal band, maybe Meshuggah, would cover "Poker."

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:56pm
Pete from Boston (and NJ):

But in 1983, those products didn't LEARN. Unless you spilled champagne on the keyboard, of course.
Avatar 6:58pm
Carmichael:

He he Pete, my wife poured a Sprite into my 4 channel audio mixer many years ago. I still use it, but the "smooth" slider control isn't so smooth anymore.
  6:59pm
JakeGould:

@Carmichael: Tell your wife to slide the slider more often then. *rimshot*
