Then again, with tracks named "Heart Attack", "Outa Tune", and "Furyous", it might have been planned

First nice day of the year, think I'll stay inside and listen to the radio.

Agreed, York Bros., don't try to overdo it. It's fun to have fun, but you have to know how!

11 episodes of Carl here:

The Queen & I was a short-lived American sitcom which aired on CBSfrom January 16 to April 24, 1969. It starred Larry Storch as junior officerCharles Duffy serving aboard a once popular but now aging run-down cruise ship, the Amsterdam Queen. When the crew find out the new owners intend to sell the ship for scrap, he and the rest of the crew involve themselves a number of "get rich quick" schemes in an attempt to save their ship.
  1:40pm Brez:

Rex, what is Carl Ballantine holding up in that photo? Looks like one of my hats…?
Avatar 1:41pm purpleknif:

Hey! That guy!
  1:44pm Bellutz:

Ballantine named his daughters after race tracks...ya gotta respect that...I think
  1:45pm Vincent:

Speaking of Karl Ballantine, a few years ago a pal 'o mine ran into his castmate from "McHale's Navy", Ernest Borgnine, at a deli in West Chester, PA, the corporate headquarters of QVC or Home Shopping Network or some other TV-based retail outlet pushing useless crap on wimmens with too much time/money on their hands. Ernest's wife sells a line of cosmetics or something there. Anyway, my buddy gets into a nice conversation with Ernie and his 40-year-old female manager, and, tables being scarce that day, invited them to luncheon with him at his table. Conversation eventually turned to Ernie's age ─he was ~90 at the time and quite sharp and spry─ and how he stays so that way and look so good. Cmdr. McHale turns to his manager and asks her if it's OK to let my friend in on the secret. The manager nods and Ernest leans in, looks over his shoulder, and informs him, "I masturb*te" (can you say "masturbate" on the Internet?).

I am a native of WLA.
Ate at Ships in Westwood, Truman's Drive In in Westwood, the Farmers Market, The Pantry, Little Joe's, Taix's, Tail O the Pup, Phillipe's and a rare special dinner at The Pacific Dining Car ...I never heard of Tito's until I was an adult. It's horrible.----

Carl Ballantine as Marvello The Great

Later, Ponch and Jon pull over a Mercedes that went through a red light on Orange Drive. When they start performing tricks, they realize that they've pulled over a magician, The Great Marvello, and his assistant

Friday night, Ponch and Jon arrive at Jon's apartment. Ponch turns on the lights and everyone surprises Jon...but he tells them it's not his birthday. It turns out Ponch was looking at his employee number, not his birthday. Getraer figures it's somebody's birthday and offers Jon some zucchini from his garden. Marvello The Great performs some card tricks as Jon gets a phone call telling him that Susie will be fine. For his final trick, Marvello pours milk into newspaper, flings open the newspaper, and sprays the whole room.
