It hasn't been easy being a Ron Sexmith fan! Toronto based songwriter.Always on obscure labels. The kind where they bury them in fields and make you find and dig them up!
Avatar 8:38am
Reverend Fox:

Producer/engineer/mixer/percussionist Jim Scott (Wilco, Will Hoge, Tedeschi-Trucks Band) keeps the singer’s warm, sincere voice front and center in the mix, allowing room for the easy going ballads to connect. Sexsmith has a similar way with a song as Ray Davies did in the Kinks’ early 70s prime.

Mark:

@Rev. Fox: 1) Were you aware that Ron was at City Winery last night? 2) Other players on his record: John Ginty--keyboards; Bob Glaub--drums; Jonathan Graboff--guitars, mandolin, pedal steel; Don Heffington--percussion; Producer Jim Scott also seems to chip on on all kinds of bells, tambourines, etc.

Reverend Fox:

Wow ,Thanks Mark! Didn't know that! Really think Sexsmith is an excellent writer and good singer. I live in Asheville, North Carolina so wouldn't be close enough to see him at Winery.
