hi, coelacanth
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:17pm chris:

New Ufomammut! Yessss!

Any Blind Idiot God for us tonight, Martha, off their purty new album of theirs?
  9:17pm Martha:

Hey all - thanks for checking in! Just going to warn you ahead of time - going to be a bit weird, a bit disjointed show - I mean more than average...
Avatar 9:18pm JakeGould:

Martha, first night of Passover and a full moon. All is forgiven.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:18pm Ken From Hyde Park:

WFMU having something weird? That's unpossible!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:19pm chris:

Ufomammut is playing tonight at an underground place near Vicenza... ah to be in Italy...
Avatar 9:20pm coelacanth:

it must've taken 6 seconds or more to change gears for this song.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:21pm chris:

"post bong band" www.e20underground.it...
Avatar 9:21pm coelacanth:

isn't ufomammut playing in the us this month?
Avatar 9:23pm SiHV:

I endorse this Italian doom.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:23pm chris:

Avatar 9:23pm coelacanth:

...next month.
Avatar 9:26pm coelacanth:

just one show that's remotely close to me. (an hour or 2 drive)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:27pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Road trip!
  9:28pm Martha:

Yep - I guess I meant long pieces interspersed w/ the odd folk and pop - prob. not too well sequenced...
  9:30pm Martha:

Where are they playing then?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:31pm Jack Mello:

it's all sounding great from here, martha!
Avatar 9:31pm coelacanth:

i liked the gentle beginning. i was in the shower and didn't hear it that well, but i'm going back to it later.
Avatar 9:32pm coelacanth:

brooklyn; philly; baltimore;rochester.
those are the only slight possibilities for me.
  9:32pm Martha:

Hey Jack - good to hear from you - and thanks! Now indulging one of my fav bands -
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:33pm Ken From Hyde Park:

www.ufomammut.com... lists the dates and locations of the upcoming tour.
  9:33pm Martha:

Thanks all for checking in - and for the Ufo info - hope you can make it though I know those long drives, have done them, not so much fun...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:55pm chris:

good night, y'all. awesome first set, Martha!
  10:00pm Martha:

Night Chris - have a good w/end - and same for you all -
Avatar 10:11pm Polyus:

I have to travel a whole 4 train stops to see Ufomammut in June. Unless I can weasel on to the bill, but not holding my breath there.
  10:15pm Martha:

Good luck! - perhaps I'll play another track at the end of the evening - they seem v. popular here -
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:19pm Rory:

Great show so far. Bit weird, bit disjointed just the way I like it :)
  10:21pm Martha:

Hah!!! - thanks a lot, means something to me-
Avatar 10:26pm SiHV:

I also endorse this Swiss black metal.
  10:31pm Martha:

Yeah - it's f'ing awesome - gonna let it run it's course -
Avatar 10:33pm coelacanth:

you're the driver.
...and me barking out the window is a good thing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:45pm Tome:

I'm like like ing this so ...
  10:47pm Martha:

Glad you are!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:00pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...okay - goin' horizontal in the dark
...everybody ☆ all this great stuff for me...
Avatar 11:03pm coelacanth:

RevRab...you know my policy on stars; but i've been starring up the show anyway!
  11:04pm Martha:

Be sure you are well stabilized if you go horizontal -
Avatar 11:18pm JakeGould:

OSHA requirements on horizontal.
  11:19pm r in va:

Yay Martha!
  11:20pm Martha:

Hey Richard - wondering where you've been!
Avatar 11:23pm JakeGould:

Martha, so if I star something… Do you see an immediate update on your magical DJ playlist control panel?
  11:30pm Martha:

I do see it, and it also goes towards what is called "my favorites" or the songs most starred (e.g., most popular) - though to see it I have to key into another page so generally I don't get to review it until later. But I DO see it. Does that make sense???
  11:30pm Martha:

Ufomammut - back by popular demand -
  11:32pm KP:

Hey Martha
  11:33pm Martha:

Hi KP - How are you doing? - Still in VA?
Avatar 11:33pm JakeGould:

@Martha: So you do get to see it all later. Cool! Thank you for the info and thank you Kenzo for making that possible!
  11:34pm Martha:

We are doing the drone thing for a bit now -
  11:36pm Martha:

It would be interesting to see it in real time - I mayjust be a fool and unable to access it - but I'll check it out, I have nothing to do with it! - it is all Kenzo and your support and interest -
  11:41pm KP:

Just returned not from va but a basketball game in Brooklyn
Avatar 11:43pm coelacanth:

i just use the stars for my own reference. i guess that wouldn't help a radio host gauge much because i don't star anything i already own,or am acutely aware of already, even if i really like it.
(Brotzmann being a good example)
  11:43pm Martha:

HS, College? You guys pretty much down in VA for the week?
  11:45pm Martha:

Yeah - the star system is for you to use - or NOT to use - I guess I use it mostly to star things I want to listen to when I get here - sort of like how I use my wish list on Amazon: Not to buy or have other people buy but to have a list of what i am interested in -
Avatar 11:46pm coelacanth:

...ufomammut is another. if you played anything from the first 3 albums i would not star it,even though i'd be very grateful to hear it; because i own those already.
Avatar 11:48pm coelacanth:

right. but some folks use it like they're voting.
....maybe i'm being selfish!
  11:48pm KP:

This is wonderful, esp with my iPhone also playing, adding a bit of delay and surround
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:49pm Andrew Waterloo:

For me the stars are just a way to fly my freak flag for the rest of the friendship society
  11:50pm KP:

It was the brooklyn Nets. Had a good time. We were in northern va the week before this one
Avatar 11:51pm JakeGould:

Stars are things I click when I like things. That’s it. If it helps the muckety mucks gauge who we are as an audience on some level all the better.
Avatar 11:51pm coelacanth:

i'd like to do that, but if i starred everything i liked, the things i want to check out again would get lost in the mix.
Avatar 11:52pm coelacanth:

yeh this is beautiful.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:53pm Andrew Waterloo:

I'm much more selective than that. It's either stuff I like a lot, stuff that gives me the 'holy crap' reaction, or stuff that I've been listening to forever.
  11:53pm KP:

I think I remember hearing this track last summer, day time
  11:54pm Martha:

Yes, KP, it is a beautiful song [?] - this is one of the many types if music that I love - beautiful drone - and not too heavy or too light -
  11:55pm KP:

Two summers. Where does the freaking time go, to paraphrase someone
  11:55pm Martha:

You may well have heard it, it's been around for a bit -
  11:57pm KP:

  11:59pm KP:

See ya Martha
Avatar 12:00am coelacanth:

Thanks Martha- Brilliant as always!
goodnight people.
  12:01am Martha:

Bye all - have a great week - and always good to hear form you -
