Hey there Nick!
Swag For Life Member 12:13am Nick Name:

Hey Bronwyn! hi all and welcome….
  12:15am Claw!:

Hey Nick!
Howdy, Folks!
Swag For Life Member 12:17am Nick Name:

Avatar 12:17am Ryab:

Hey guys. Bronwyn, Nick, Claw and others.
  12:17am V Priceless:

Hey N, B
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:17am coelacanth:

olá Nick.
other Nick-Named!
  12:18am JakeGould:

Hey Nick! Was hoping that if you ran later, Dave the Spazz could have done an extended Jonathan Schwartz parody. That was great if you missed it!
  12:19am V Priceless:

Hey N, B and C, C!
Swag For Life Member 12:19am Nick Name:

hi Ryab! / coelacanth!
  12:19am Claw!:

Does anyone know why Dave's comments board was disabled? Was there another troll or somethin?
  12:19am rw:

  12:19am Claw!:

I missed you guys... :(
  12:20am V Priceless:

Can't use "and" symbol on app. It cuts off remaing text, so I learned from JakeG.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:21am coelacanth:

howdy rw,Ryab,V!

i'm certain that was Dave's choice,Bear!,considering his meltdown last week.
Swag For Life Member 12:21am Nick Name:

Hey JakeGould - ahh missed that (archives!) but i heard the jailbait tune
  12:22am JakeGould:

@Claw!: I think he was sick of last week’s B.S.
  12:23am Claw!:

Yeah, I could see that, Fish. Although last week didn't even really seem that bad to me, tbh. Oh well.
  12:24am V Priceless:

Unknown as to Dave's board. Gotta think maybe he's taking a break after last week, though I'm still a bit perplexed as to what exactly went down.
  12:24am JakeGould:

@NickName: Right after the Frank Sinatra “That’s Life” cut. Should be a regular feature. Maybe an extended 40 minute monologue of how Jonathan Schwartz once went down to the corner to get pound cake and a Sanka… And it reminded him of… Frank Sinatra.
Swag For Life Member 12:24am Nick Name:

Hi rw!
Swag For Life Member 12:24am Nick Name:

Hi V Pricless
Swag For Life Member 12:24am Nick Name:

@JakeGould - ha ha sounds good , will archive it
  12:25am JakeGould:

Some DJs find the comments to be a distraction. So there you go.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26am coelacanth:

no,it wasn't Bear!; there's something else going on.
  12:26am rw:

Glad you made it to the station Nick. Enjoying a cup of PG Tips. It's England's No. 1 tea, you know.
  12:26am V Priceless:

Yep, I hear that, Jake.
  12:27am JakeGould:

I once saw Jonthan Schwartz crossing the street near WNYC studios. He was standing in the street a bit. Then a HUGE black limo/SUBV thing needed to turn near him and honked… Seeing him and his totebag and his Boston Red Sox cap jump in collective “what happened?” shock was amazing.
  12:27am Claw!:

Yeah, V, I don't really undwrstand what was so bad about it that it warranted putting us in time-out this week.
  12:28am Claw!:

True that, Jake.
  12:30am JakeGould:

They should place Jonthan Schwartz in a booth in Times Square. And for $1 and one word, he will yammer on for 5 minutes about how Frank Sinatra and that word are somehow connected to one another.
  12:30am V Priceless:

So be it, Claw - the music marches on, regardless, I do declare.
  12:32am V Priceless:

@ JakeG: ha. I thought you were gonna say a buck buys you three baseballs and three chances to dunk him in the water!
  12:34am JakeGould:

@VPriceless: Maybe we can mix up ideas. Like he would sit in a dunk tank and talk endlessly about Frank Sinatra. And the barker would shout, “Arrrgh! Who among you fine folks can stop Jonathan Schwartz in the middle of an endless rant! Bonus points if you dunk him before he talks about Frank Sinatra! Step right up!”
  12:34am rw:

This Carsten Neinert Karvrtet does a pretty good Coltrane.
  12:35am V Priceless:

Haha great idea, JG!
Swag For Life Member 12:35am Nick Name:

@rw: ha ha , look up the 80's adverts for them, they have chimps dressed up, with voiceovers - bizarre
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39am coelacanth:

rw,i was doing something else-and the volume was really low. i thought it was Coltrane. (and i sometimes pretend to know something about Trane.)
  12:39am V Priceless:

The dunk tank is a brilliant invention when you really take a moment to ponder it....and very theraputic.
Swag For Life Member 12:41am Nick Name:

yeh its Danish , and thats true it's been compared to Coltrane - pretty Good
  12:42am JakeGould:

@VPriceless: Maybe dunk tanks are needed in the middle east? I mean is there a map of political strife versus dunk tanks?
  12:44am rw:

coelacanth, I thought it was Coltrane too and checked the playlist to see which album, etc.
  12:46am V Priceless:

If there is, it'll show a severe shortage of dunk tanks! I think they could hold the key to resolving all world conflict.
  12:47am rw:

Nick, Wow. Those ads are crazy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:48am coelacanth:

...and i'm a lyons tea man. i'm in love with it!
- but now there's trouble in paradise, since i had an affair with "taylor's of harrowgate scottish breakfast tea".
  12:48am V Priceless:

Love Happy Family. These guys are insane players!
  12:48am JakeGould:

Thanks for the “PG Tips” tips. How many lives were lost due to piano moving mishaps? www.youtube.com...
  12:49am Claw!:

Fish! How could you??
  12:49am Claw!:

So much for loyal-tea.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:49am coelacanth:

i've said too much.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:50am coelacanth:

is THAT my pun-ishment?
Avatar 12:51am Ryab:

Sounds like a Dance of Eternity DT line.
  12:54am Claw!:

I never get to make puns. I had to jump on it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:57am coelacanth:

you say some funny shit,Bear!! it doesn't always register whether it's a pun or not; it's just funny!

...yeh those tea ads are pretty silly!
  12:59am Claw!:

:) Aww... tanks, Fish. I like funny.
  1:00am Claw!:

I really like this music. It sounds like a mariachi band and a Bollywood soundtrack had a baby.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:01am coelacanth:

(...maybe Funny is actually the most important meal of the day.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02am coelacanth:

...but one of the Bollywood soundtrack's parents was a klezmer band.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02am Ĩkє:

My 1st taste of PG Tips was like being punched in the face w/tannins. Brits like their tea to have horns and fangs, eh?
  1:02am Claw!:

Yes, I agree - Funny is most DEFINITELY the most important meal of the day.
  1:04am Claw!:

Haha... "Yes, I'm a quarter Klezmer, on my mother's side."

"Ah, of course. I can hear that now that you mention it."
  1:11am rw:

Ike. Milk.
Avatar 1:12am RZ:

Love this song.
  1:13am rw:

Horns, fangs and talking monkeys, apparently.
  1:14am Claw!:

I'm gonna have to bow outta here a little early again tonight, unfortunately. I agreed to work another 11-hour shift tomorrow after the one I worked today because I am a whore and I need the dough. :( I am going to be moving for the third time in a year (!), and I need to save up. On the bright side - I won't have to move again for a long time after this one, so I gotta stay positive.
  1:15am rw:

Night! Claw!
  1:16am Claw!:

And I also wanna be able to make it out for the record fair this year, so I have to put enough coin away to have some left over after the move!
  1:17am Claw!:

Soon, rw, soon... ;-P
Swag For Life Member 1:17am Nick Name:

Hey Claw! thx - have a good weekend
  1:18am V Priceless:

Good luck with the move, C!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:18am coelacanth:

Damn i like every incarnation i've heard of this song. 'never heard this exact one.(and i've collected a few)
  1:18am Claw!:

Thanks, Nick! You too. :)
Swag For Life Member 1:19am Nick Name:

Hey Ike! don't like my tea too strong, def with milk though. there is an expression 'Builders Tea' : meaning strong , dark looking tea, bag is left in a while
  1:19am Claw!:

Thanks, V. I'm gonna need it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:20am coelacanth:

Bear! you leaving now? i thought you said soon!
Sweet dreams.
  1:21am Claw!:

Welp - I'm out dis piece.
You fine people have a good night. I send virtual hugs and noogies.
Avatar 1:21am Ryab:

Nick I don't know how you find so many good songs to fill 3 hours with every week
  1:22am V Priceless:

Nite Claw!
  1:22am Claw!:

Yeah, I'm just gonna go now, Fish. It's for the best - got a long day ahead of me tomorrow. G'nite!
  1:22am JakeGould:

@NickName: I like that term… “'Builders Tea” I always drank tea sans milk my whole life. Then one stupid college job someone made a run to a local diner to get us stuff. I ordered tea. The guy came back with tea with milk in it and I winced. Then the guy literally was such a snit about me complaining he went—literally—to everyone in shop we worked in asking, “Who doesn’t drink tea with milk in it? Jake thinks that’s wrong…”
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:23am Ĩkє:

W/milk is great... if you can digest lactose. I can see the appeal. Anyway now I have a craving for black tea. Brewing some decaf Luzianne.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:23am coelacanth:

maybe i'll see you tomorrow Bear!.
sleep deep.
  1:24am JakeGould:

@Ike: If you were raised in Yiddish Brooklyn like I was, 100% nobody drank tea with milk. Screw that.
Avatar 1:26am cory:

g' morning all
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:28am coelacanth:

'long time ago i used milk and honey. now i just like very strong, full body tea (assam-heavy) with a hearty dose of honey.
i have no desire for milk, though i'm not intolerant.
i only like coffee with 1/2&1/2.(or heavy cream)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:28am ░ ℰ Ī Ҡ ░::

@Jake, just not the style? Or so they could have their tea w/a meat dish?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:29am coelacanth:

hola cory!
Avatar 1:29am cory:

lol, i was raised in 100% not yiddish NE indiana and we don't put milk in our tea. way too much sugar maybe
  1:29am rw:

In the US we have "Cowboy Coffee" where you boil coffee and water together and let the grounds settle to the bottom but I don't know anybody who actually makes it that way.
Avatar 1:29am cory:

hiya ancient fish
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:30am coelacanth:

i know people who drink cowboy coffee!
Avatar 1:30am cory:

rw, if you add bacon fat the grounds sink quicker
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:31am coelacanth:

but then,i know people who live under bushes!
  1:33am rw:

Would like to meet these cowboy coffee drinkers. I'm sure they've got more character than I do. Bacon fat, huh?
Avatar 1:34am cory:

i ain't one of 'em. i like my coffee by the drip pot with a two hour shut off
  1:35am rw:

Mostly I make espresso in one of those aluminum stovetop deals. (In case anybody's wondering.)
  1:36am V Priceless:

@ Fish: we US peeps all lived under Bushes for longer than we'd care to remember.
  1:36am JakeGould:

@Ike: I don’t think it’s a kosher thing more than just a cultural thing. I just have never met NYC Jews who drank tea with milk.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:39am coelacanth:

i've had it a few times and always liked it.
i was kidding about the under-bush people! but i've known many who've lived in motor vehicles (as i did,too- a volvo wagon...) and cowboy coffee doesn't require extra appliances that you can't also use for something else.
Avatar 1:39am cory:

i'd rather have my penis mutilated again than have tea with milk
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:40am Ike:

Yeah, I think Americans generally don't have it w/milk that often. I'm trying my decaf w/almond milk now... hmm... eh... needs to be stronger and sweeter. (*dumps an unhealthy amt. of sugar into tea*) That's better!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:40am coelacanth:

V you got that right!
Avatar 1:41am cory:

living under Bushes is no joking matter! ;) btw '85 buick regals have very comfy sleeping back seats
Avatar 1:43am cory:

i like my teas and coffees like the old jokes
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:44am coelacanth:

i like coffee, when i drink it, with heavy cream or at least 1/2&1/2...almond milk, though i like that lots,is just too thin for coffee or tea,in my opinion.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:44am coelacanth:

How's that,cory?!
Avatar 1:45am cory:

black and oppressed?
Avatar 1:46am cory:

i know that's horrible. no need to tell me
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:46am coelacanth:

aw shit,i shouldn't have played!
  1:47am P-90:

@coel: someone had to ask...
Avatar 1:48am cory:

there's a reason why i keep a sliver of paper with an F on it near me at all times

Also, researching builder’s tea: “ Brands high in tannin, caffeine and Assam leaves better suited to builder's tea include PG Tips, Red Label (Brooke Bond, Tesco), Tetley, and Lyon's Quickbrew.”
  2:31am JakeGould:

I like Darjeeling tea when I do caffeinated tea. Either that or Russian black.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:34am Ĩkє:

I like Turkish black tea but I've only had it in restaurants. I'll have to figure out if there are any esp. well-regarded brands of Turkish loose tea.
