Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!

Live from the Studio - Talking at You
Oasis  Live Forever   Options Definitely Maybe  Creation  1994  MP3  I have a hard time getting people to like Oasis. Hi Clay!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:06pm ░Ī Ҡ ℰ░::

@Fuzzy, I hope you were joking about Hershey. That crap is vile. Callebaut, Lindt, Ghirardelli, Lake Champlain... or death!
  6:07pm JakeGould:

Happy Post-April Fool’s Day!
  6:08pm P-90:

Hey, Hershey still >Nestle
  6:08pm JakeGould:

Ike: Two words… KIT-FUCKING-KAT!
Avatar 6:08pm Fredericks:

Hendrix still sounds like no one else. Great choice, Clayton.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:08pm Guido from Cologne:

Happy Golgotha day over here.
Avatar 6:09pm Slick Goldtooth:

Definitely good weather to be flying a freak flag
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:09pm Fuzzy:

I like Hershey's Kisses -- I'm no connoisseur. But you're right -- nothing to brag about. This just in: Andes Mints or GTFO!
Avatar 6:10pm MenfussMike:

hendrix was by far the best.
  6:10pm P-90:

Always wondered if "Clayton" is named after Tarzan himself...?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:10pm Ike:

Good luck kicking the cancer sticks, @CP. Hang in there!
  6:10pm Tim:

I applied for the job of Curator of the Hendrix Collection at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The application only asked two questions. "Are you experienced?" "Have you ever been experienced?" I answered, "Well, I have." Didn't get the job.
  6:11pm JakeGould:

@Tim: Nice one!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:11pm Fuzzy:

@Tim: lol
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:12pm Carmichael:

Hey, Clay! Thinking of you on Evan's metal show last night. Cinderella, baby.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:13pm dale:

in ny they want people to lease solar panels on their homes. but you can't make more energy than your home produces - they don't want to take bread away from the power companies and you still need to be hooked up to the grid. it's baloney.
  6:13pm P-90:

Yes, the Koch Bros (and others) are working politically to slow adoption of solar, that's not ambiguous or a secret or anything...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:13pm coelacanth:

fuck "hippy-haters"! fuck labeling people "hippies".
one thing is- activists in the 60s weren't afraid to get hurt, imprisoned, maybe killed for what they were passionate about...that's rare in the us today.
  6:14pm JakeGould:

All I have to say about hippies: We could use more hippies. Because you can’t stop the hippies.
Avatar 6:14pm MenfussMike:

i remember crimson glory. How about nasty savage Clay?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:15pm Polyus:

Crimson Glory! I only remembered because of the masks.
  6:15pm P-90:

@coel: "hippie" is a word like "liberal", for a long time now everyone who uses the word means something different. Or "Christian", for that matter...
Avatar 6:15pm glenn:

really? we can sell power back to the grid if we have an excess.
Avatar 6:15pm Slick Goldtooth:

I gotta say it's pretty mind blowing how many people were living in communal setups back in the 60s, dunno if anything could ever be replicated like that on such a large scale
Avatar 6:16pm MenfussMike:

They were from Florida and their singer Nasty Ronnie was a part time wrassler. They had a hilarious commercial for a local salon where they pulled up to the salon in a limo and then did an ID for the salon all sitting in the salon chairs
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:16pm SeanG:

more hippies less hipsters I guess
  6:16pm P-90:

@glenn: they're actually trying to get that "sale" taxed
  6:16pm Bly:

Yes... but the power companies are lobbying the government to charge you an extra fee so you can sell it back to the grid.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:17pm dale:

yes glenn, but they won't let you make more than you use.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:17pm Carmichael:

Yep, we can sell back to the grid here, too. And since it's a PUC I'm selling to, it can't be taxed.
Avatar 6:18pm glenn:

not in canada.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:18pm SeanG:

still using that Andro gel, Clay? :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:18pm ░Ī Ҡ ℰ░::

This song is worse than Hitler. Or at least worse than Hitler's goat. BAAAA!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:19pm dale:

used to be able to spin your meter backwards, they don't want that anymore. solar and wind and shit is why saudi arabia told opec to go to hell and flooded the market with oil. they are afraid in a couple of decades no one will need their product.
  6:19pm P-90:

Clay ROCKED @ H&M!
Avatar 6:20pm MenfussMike:

preach it Bennett
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:20pm common:

  6:21pm P-90:

One can be a natural-born empath and also play songs that are worse than Hitler, why not?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:21pm dale:

'can you yell that and crash your car into a wall listener?'
  6:21pm P-90:

...or Hitler's goat even
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:22pm ░ ℰ Ī Ҡ ░::

Ha ha ha, I love how seriously you take me and my silly opinions. Heh. I'm just another schmuck like anybody else. And I'm still listening! (Had to turn down that Crimson car wreck really low to survive it w/out vomiting though. LOL.)
Avatar 6:22pm MenfussMike:

Hollywood Stars and Kimberly wrote my favorite song off of Destroyer
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:22pm efd:

Love the Hollywood Stars!
  6:22pm Franz:

Will the dancing Hitlers please wait in the wings? We are only seeing singing Hitlers.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:22pm Ĩ k є:

@P-90, HA you're sick. Love it.
  6:25pm P-90:

Juggling and tumbling Hitlers are next Monday
  6:25pm JakeGould:

Hilter Nazis and their goats cannot stop the hippies.
Avatar 6:25pm Fredericks:

  6:25pm Kevlicki:

  6:26pm P-90:

  6:26pm JakeGould:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:27pm ░ ℰ Ī Ҡ ░::

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:27pm common:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:27pm cory:

"The poor are there to scare the shit out of the middle class" G. Carlin
  6:27pm Franz:

Hitler was better looking than Mumia. He was a better dresser than Mumia. He had more hair! He told funnier jokes! And he could dance the pants off of Mumia!...Mumia!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:28pm Ĩkє:

Yeah, the Spiral Sun Plan was a late-night show several years ago. It later changed its name to Belly of the Beast. That was a premium. Archives here: wfmu.org...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:28pm common:

i always wanted howard zinn to be president. and my cat mavis.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:29pm Polyus:

Like this piano piece in the background, I think Clay played it last week as well.
  6:30pm JakeGould:

Guys have to say: Saw some guy in Park Slope who was not a hipster but had a full-on Hitler/Chaplin mustache. He was Indian or South East Asian. So if you hear of some guy with a Hitler mustache in Brooklyn, there you go.
Avatar 6:30pm Clay Pigeon:

Ployus - Gymnosphere - Song of the Rose - Jordan De La Sierra 1977 (Unity Records)
Avatar 6:30pm steve:

Clay i like when you take us back to forgotten 90s rock
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:30pm Carmichael:

This sounds like Neon Trees.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:31pm Carmichael:

My sister graduated from La Sierra in 1977. Oh, you're not talking about high school.
  6:32pm Bly:

I remember when it was claimed oasis was going to be the "next beatles"
Avatar 6:32pm V Priceless:

always preferred Blur to Oasis. "Modern Life Is Rubbish" is a record for the ages.
  6:32pm P-90:

Jake; Hitler swiped his look from Chaplin, not joking
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:32pm Carmichael:

And the Arctic Monkeys would be the next Kinks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:33pm common:

with you vp!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:33pm Fuzzy:

They said that about The Knack too.
Avatar 6:33pm Slick Goldtooth:

I feel like I read on a placemat, bottle cap or some nugget of info that Hitler adopted the toothbrush style mustache to ensure a proper seal with a gas mask during his time in WW1
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:33pm Polyus:

Clay - that is why it sounded familiar to me. Someone played it on the Drummer stream last week. Sort of Music From the Hearts of Space/pre- new age music, before that became a bad marketing idea in the 80s.
Avatar 6:35pm V Priceless:

I know that feeling, Clay!
  6:35pm JakeGould:

@P-90: Hitler really took that look and kicked it up a notch.
  6:36pm ScottC:

Blown away by Sleaford Mods. Their not even trying to get air play with the non- stop stream of profanity. Love me
Avatar 6:37pm Slick Goldtooth:

Speaking of England, John Lennon's first wife passing. Definitely an interesting character in the whole history of the band and man.

Him and Twiggy really work well together.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:56pm Ken From Hyde Park:

I mentioned Margaretville on Therese's show the other night. She thought I said Margaritaville, which caused her some confusion.
  6:56pm djelrock:

This is so fu'ing sad. I am almost crying. So many young people killing themselves.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:56pm common:
