	♥ 10:36pm Clay: As far as hippies go, it was not easy being counter-culture in the Vietnam/Nixon 60's. You could get your face kicked in for having hair over your ears, or be drafted and sent to Vietnam. That being said, there is certainly GREAT music from ALL eras, ages, and genres. Peace!
	♥ 10:36pm coelacanth: i'm positive i listen to a far greater variety of new music than 9_% of "young" people; but i cannot ignore the renaissance of creativity that was the 60s-70s.

	10:54pm Ryab: That's what I hate when I mention Butthole Surfers to people. Most know them as "That band that sang Pepper" and I'm just like sdagasdgasgar most of their amazing stuff never got limelight.

And Clay, yes it's Porcupine Tree's Steven Wilson. I guess the new album is just out but I don't have an actual copy yet. (Ordering it payday.) I already have tickets to see him at the end of May (2 NYC concerts 5/29 & 30).

	♥ 11:01pm Gaylord Fields: I'm looking forward to the Orrin Keepnews tribute show. He was such an important figure in jazz, and I anticipate learning more about him from you and Peter.
	♥ 11:01pm coelacanth: "the only ones",a good example. they were more sophisticated than "another girl,another planet". ...and Marcy Playground played at a festival i was at in the late 90s (they did"sex & candy"-pure bubblegum) -their whole set besides that song was hardcore punk!
	11:02pm Ryab: It isn't really a judgement thing, at least not in an individualistic sense; moreso a judgment of what makes music popular. I just know what I like. I suppose it's a good thing that bands reach the top of the charts with some of the singles that are the least interesting of what they have made.
