Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:09pm braveness23:

Hello Scott. Hello listeners! Hello CPi!
Avatar 3:10pm Claw!:

Hey, Scott! Nice start!
Whuzz'appenin', Folks?
Avatar 3:11pm steve:

heya Scott! i hope you like people named Steve giving you money.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:14pm Scott Williams:

I like it, Steve! I hope you all like me giving you a physical piece of my show. Each week of the 'thon, I'll be giving away one cherished copy of one of my weekly talkover LPs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:15pm coelacanth:

olá Scott and earthlings
Avatar 3:17pm Claw!:

My fishy friend! Hullo!
Avatar 3:18pm Cecile:

that homosapien record was pretty darn good.
I saw him during that tour.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:18pm Greg from Bloomfield:

I met Pete Shelley at Luna Lounge once. Super nice guy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:18pm braveness23:

I have Homosapien but I don't recall this song. Nice treat!
Avatar 3:19pm Cecile:

he sang over backing tapes and played guitar.
Avatar 3:19pm steve:

theres a Pete Shelley instrumental synth track that a techno dj friend still plays and refuses to say what it is, i still have never found it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:20pm Stevel:

I also saw the Hompsapien tour. Good, although the club owner was plenty pissed when Shelley and crew had troubles with a taped/programmed backup. (He had a band with him as well, but not playing the electyronica stuff.)
Avatar 3:21pm Cecile:

anyone see that Viv Stanshall/Bonzos documentary on YouTube? It came out about 10 yrs ago or so. on the BBC Quite good.
  3:21pm Jimmer:

Pere Ubu!!!!!! Talk about epic!
Avatar 3:23pm Cecile:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:24pm coelacanth:

hola "fish and fowl broad"!
Avatar 3:26pm Sem Chumbo:

@Cecile: bookmarked, w/thanks!
Avatar 3:34pm Cecile:

I knew this was a Stanshall-friendly zone.
Avatar 3:35pm Chris from DC:

Big Blood, is there anything they can't do?
Avatar 3:36pm RZ:

Really digging this cover!
  3:38pm Mark:

This Love track is one of my favorites of all time. I discovered the "Forever Changes" album very late, but when I did, I played it every day for a whole summer like a 14 year-old.
  3:40pm Ted:

Big Blood. From another world.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:41pm coelacanth:

RZ i like your avatar!

okay this was a short stay. 'back in a bit, probably.
Thank you Scott!
  3:43pm BZ iv:

You Set the Scene is all time tops! Never gets old!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:59pm DCE:

hi all, love this!
Avatar 4:01pm Cheri Pi:

I'm caught up in its gravity
Avatar 4:02pm RZ:

Great show today, Scott! Easing into my Monday a little easier.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11pm DCE:

my knuckle is swollen up, because I got upset at the copy machine and punched a cabinet.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11pm Polyus:

The HVAC system is actually louder than this song.
Avatar 4:12pm Cecile:

that sucks. Make sure if the skin is broken, you clean it up a bit - copy machines are filthy things.
Avatar 4:12pm TDK60:

Yes, the Love tune is always swell. And the sounds since.
Avatar 4:13pm Whooda:

It's quite a nice ride today Scott.
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 4:16pm YETI BOB:

DCE: You should have punched the copier, not the cabinet!
Avatar 4:19pm Whooda:

If you really want to piss-off a copier, wrinkle its sheets.
  4:22pm lloyd michigan:

This kind of sounds like a broken copier.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:23pm Polyus:

I used to work with copiers, they really are dicks.
Avatar 4:29pm RZ:

I design printer/copier installation guides. Even drawing pictures of these things can be torture. :P
Avatar 4:30pm soup and fog:

I wonder if some day they'll have 3d copiers...
Avatar 4:32pm steve:

soup and fog - we already do! 3d scanner + 3d printer.
  4:33pm Dean:

The copier in my office has three dimensions.
Avatar 4:33pm steve:

im impatiently awaiting 4d printers
Avatar 4:36pm Whooda:

Human organs are being printed now (in 3-D).
  4:37pm Dean:

We already have 4D printers. If the fourth dimension is time, then we are merely the stray copies produced by a 4D printer in our future.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:37pm Webhamster Henry:

I think I did see it! www.youtube.com... look for his beer ads!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:43pm efd:

Thanks for the mention, Scott!
  4:43pm ScottC:

Is this Zas from Wasnot Was?
Avatar 4:44pm lloyd michigan:

  4:46pm ScottC:

"Zas Turned Blue" aye that's it haven't thought of that song in 20 years....Velvet Fog!
Avatar 4:48pm Cecile:

  4:56pm nah:

This decerfs a clicky star
Avatar 4:58pm Marcel M:

Hello Scott! Friends!
  4:59pm Mark:

This Robert Rutman stuff is SUPER COOL.
Avatar 5:02pm TDK60:

Mark, I have to agree; have to put my gloves on, it's so cool.
Avatar 5:02pm RZ:

Hello, Marcel (and everyone else)!
Avatar 5:05pm Jim Price:

I told you Scott, Rutman the Steel Cello Man is excellent!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:07pm Scott Williams:

Right on Jim, it's lovely - thanks for that!
Avatar 5:07pm Marcel M:

Masters of War?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:08pm Scott Williams:

Marcel spotted it! Yep. trad. of course
Avatar 5:12pm TDK60:

Marcel, Same melody, different lyrics. Trad. Fairport Convention also did on their 2nd.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:12pm Carmichael:

Hi Scott and peeps. Cecile, thanks for the youtube link! RZ, I was gonna change my avatar to almost the same thing!
Avatar 5:13pm Marcel M:

Ahhhh. I figured Bobby must've gotten it from somewhere else.
Avatar 5:15pm RZ:

...Thx C'ec for Bonzo YT link
...lloyd michigan love kitty...
Avatar 5:21pm RZ:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:22pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...'pawspur' is good too
...Del S. sounding like Brit PsychPop (not quite Freakbeat...the other thing aiming Progward) here...
Avatar 5:22pm Cecile:

I like the two tracks together. It's kind of like the story, and the backstory.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:32pm dale:

excellent radiola programme mr. deejay. love that del shannon.
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 5:32pm YETI BOB:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:34pm Carmichael:

And this is where Townshend was influenced for the Baba O'Riley riff. Hence the name.

Avatar 5:38pm Joe McG:

Yeppers, I'm guilty.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:39pm Scott Williams:

this set's fer you, Joe! looking like it's ALL in C
Avatar 5:40pm Cecile:

Avatar 5:40pm Joe McG:

Ah, nice, you took it one step beyond!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:41pm Scott Williams:

It's just overkill!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:42pm Carmichael:

I'm hearing Stereolab in my head, although this is playing.
  5:51pm JakeGould:

“Ashrae Fax” sounded like the “Cocteau Twins.”
  5:51pm Mark Williams:

always a minor wonder when someone plays Bourbonese Qualk. Very nice. The lead guy Simon Crab has a new solo CD out, btw, which I highly highly recommend.
  5:52pm Marty:

This is my first time tuning in. Is the show usually heavy on instrumentals?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:53pm dale:

i LOVE this tuxedo moon. first ken, then diane farris, now you!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:54pm Fuzzy:

Man, this song is like WFMU Top 40 or something! Not that that's bad!
Avatar 5:54pm RZ:

Yeah, this Tuxedomoon song rules.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:54pm dale:

it's like a more spastic bauhaus
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:55pm Scott Williams:

yeah, Tuxedomoon cuts across all boundaries! @Marty - yeah, I'm a little lyric-phobic
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:55pm Scott Williams:

See y'all at the Marathon! have a great week
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:56pm dale:

i can imagine myself pogoing at the pyramid club.
  5:56pm JakeGould:

“No Tears”: Daniel Blumin played it last night, Therese played it this morning… And now… This song’s charts have grown by 300% in 24 hours. USA! USA! USA!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:57pm dale:

the drummer is tearing those creatures a new one.
  5:57pm JakeGould:

Dale, Pyramid or the Mudd Club? I always thought of Tuxedomoon as more about the Mudd Club. Also this comment… Me being a complete ponce.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:58pm Carmichael:

I'm dancing the robot.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:58pm dale:

what's next - klahm on every program?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:58pm dale:

i never went to the mudd club - aztec lounge and pyramid were my haunts. loved the aztec.
