Listener comments!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:09am ChrisVB:

Nice to wake up to Soundgarden like I was 20 years younger. Nice pull!
  9:10am kiemzi:

wow, chris m! are you playing this guitar solo live in studio??
Avatar 9:12am Chris M.:

@ChrisVB: cheers!
@kiemzi: that was me shredding. i also wrote the lyrics.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:13am Polyus:

That Tiger song contained not one, but TWO breakdowns that had nothing to do with the riff. Or each other for that matter.
Avatar 9:15am Chris M.:

shockingly this song has never been played on wfmu before.
  9:20am Will:

Great gobs of gorgeous heavyosity!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:26am BennettCap:

Best alarm clock ever. See 'n Say: The Devil Says.
Thanks Chris M. I usually can't listen Monday mornings.
Avatar 9:30am Chris M.:

good morning!
  9:43am kiemzi:

i love this song! never heard this version, cool!
Avatar 9:45am Sem Chumbo:

Pre-clicked. Gotta like that. Good morning, Chris, and friends real and imaginary.
  9:50am Neg-guh-tor:

Great show!
Avatar 9:52am Chris M.:

Avatar 10:02am Chris M.:

this is exactly how i feel this morning!
  10:04am Neg-guh-tor:

Cheer-Accident! Nice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:15am Risky:

Gnaw! Righteous! GO CHRIS!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:15am Risky:

Gnaw their tounges* mah baaayud
  10:22am Mark:

Digging this gloom and doom music right now. Even though I'm listening today from sunny Florida!
  10:24am Neg-guh-tor:

Letha. The Shimmering Ghost. I bought both of these incredible records. Man........
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:27am Risky:

Gotta scoop some of this stuff up, really nice soundscapes.
Avatar 10:28am Chris M.:

the two LPs sync up perfectly as you can hear. i'm playing both a-sides at once.
  10:31am Neg-guh-tor:

  10:34am Mark:

This is really cool--I would have never known it was two albums blended together unless you told us.
  10:37am cheri:

hi chris, a very interesting show this morning.
  10:38am P-90:

Very nice Melchior
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:43am Greg from Bloomfield:

Anybody else at work today? I mean besides you, Chris...
Avatar 10:46am Chris M.:

Ken said i could go home as soon as i finish cleaning out the wfmu swimming pool filters, re-grouting the wfmu shower and dusting the wfmu koi pond.
  10:48am Mark:

I still like this song, even though it's February. Besides, (in the voice of that sorority girl in "Animal House"), ah thank Hope Sandoval is dreamy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:49am Greg from Bloomfield:

The koi pond *has* gotten weirdly dusty.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:49am Polyus:

If the shower is that bad, can't people just use the pool to bathe?
Avatar 10:50am Chris M.:

personally i recommend the koi pond for bathing. the fish eat all the filth off of you. it tickles.
  10:52am Mark:

It's nice to hear one of the album tracks from "After the Gold Rush"--the whole album's great. Plus, I haven't listened to it in a long, long time. This album was in my heavy rotation for most of 1977, I believe.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:53am Greg from Bloomfield:

I had no idea that that was a thing until I was in NH and all these fish had a wee fish party around my feet. My friends explained that people actually pay for that.
Avatar 10:59am map:

I can't beleeve it's Feb sixteen
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:01am Risky:

Chris, you're gone! lmao
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:02am Risky:

Snuff on deck!
Avatar 11:02am mauri:

All alone the captain stands. Hasn't heard from his deck hands.
  11:04am P-90:

Was Capt Canada Dry partly inspired by the cartoon character Colonel Schweppes, for several years featured in advertising for Schweppes ginger ale and tonic water?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:04am Risky:

  11:08am P-90:

You remember: the English explorer chap who used to exclaim: "Curiously refreshing!"
  11:09am Grubbus:

oh! Shizznit!
Avatar 11:09am Chris M.:

@P-90: i don't remember that but maybe they are cousins?
Avatar 11:10am glenn:

today in canadian trivia, canada dry was founded by robert mclaughlin, the brother of colonel sam mclaughlin, who founded general motors in canada.
Avatar 11:12am glenn:

sorry, john j. mclaughlin. robert was colonel sam's given name.
Avatar 11:13am Chris M.:

and sam mclaughlin was john mclaughlin's (of the mahavishnu orchestra) father. #ROCKFACT
Avatar 11:14am 4chewnahdoe:

Wooo! Sabrepulse!
Avatar 11:15am glenn:

ummm. he really wasn't, but nice try, rockfact.
Avatar 11:16am Chris M.:

@glenn: well, he told me he was when i hung out with him two years ago.
Avatar 11:30am glenn:

woohoo! pitchers and catchers report in six days.

Looks like 100 will be a near thing today.
Avatar 11:43am Sem Chumbo:

I knew it would be near but not that near.
Avatar 11:44am Sem Chumbo:

Wasn't there a TV show, Tokyo Knots Landing?
Avatar 11:45am Sem Chumbo:

Now, I know for sure that *Bruage* is a podcast about French beer.
Avatar 11:46am Sem Chumbo:

I've been making Joseph Cornell-style boxes using railcars.
Avatar 11:47am Sem Chumbo:

@glenn: so, the Blue Jays won't be playing professional baseball again this year, I hear.
  11:50am dave from toronto:

hey chris - where's that picture of the bong smoking frog from?
Avatar 11:51am Sem Chumbo:

It is not just the Inuit who have many words for snow. Consider the Finns:
Avatar 11:51am glenn:

hey! they're much improved.
Avatar 11:53am Sem Chumbo:

The Leafs could learn much from them, then.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:54am fleep:
