Hey, Jake, you had me bemoaning my childless status again when you said how great it would be if you had a kid nearby to say how rain makes the flowers grow.
Gaylord, those lyrics to Afro-blue are well wrought- but I still think that melody on its own(I'm thinking Coltrane here) has a mystical quality words get in the way of.
@StuartRose, “Hey, Jake, you had me bemoaning my childless status again when you said how great it would be if you had a kid nearby to say how rain makes the flowers grow.” Well as long as my posts are taken personally by random reason for little to no reason by someone I do not know on the Internet, my goal has been achieved.
...extending the conceit - I guess Sunday P.M.s FMU are like a whole little specific neighborhood of interesting, enriching & yet welcoming hangouts...
The best disco arrangers really had an ear for luscious strings and harmonies.
Only in FMU land, can Tommy Roe, My Bloody Valentine, and Silver Convention be such congenial housemates.
As usual, Gaylord, thanks for the melange.
