Listener comments!

🥁 9:03am David in ATL from NJ:

Another Saturday = Another Bob Brainen Show.
Thankful for that.
Good morning BB and listeners!
Avatar 9:08am TDK60:

I wonder have the accordionist and (it sounds like) flute player ever been credited on this Stones tune?
Avatar 9:13am Bob Brainen:

I was wondering the same thing TDK60 re: Bkst. gurl.
No clue. Wouldn't doubt one or the other (or both) was Brian Jones, tho.
Morning Dave.
  9:22am mg:

according to WIKIPEDIA: The song showcases Brian Jones, playing vibraphone and Rolling Stones contributor Jack Nitzsche on the harpsichord. Accordion was played by Nick de Caro
  9:40am KP:

New expanded Flowers? Great I love that era Stones. Against type is always a winner
  9:43am William:

After producing the 1st Soft Machine single, Fowley took the tapes back to the U.S. and re-released it under the name The Beautiful.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:44am Uncle Michael:

Fowley...what a hustler.
  9:58am mg:

and speaking of accordion (an instrument that often is given a bad rap), check out the playing on that Lincoln Chase track!
  10:01am Dano59:

Always happy to hear Lincoln Chase, from among the deep roots of NRBQ.
Avatar 10:26am Nahum MacNutt:

Good to hear a commercial once-in-a-while!
  10:34am Moe:

Saw fowley mc little steven's international underground garage festival on randall's island back in 2004... Amazing gathering of old and new bands... Iggy and the original stooges headlined...
  10:38am mike east:

You've created an excellent soundtrack to Saturday morning, as usual bob
  10:41am tinkle bear:

when you hank levine a thing, then it is your favorite favorite.

so they tell me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:50am Ken From Hyde Park:

The Sinatra piece was cool. He said he didn't know the song? What the?
  10:59am Stuart Rose:

Wow, William, Fowley produced Soft Machine. How did he even come within the Canterbury circle?

Bob, you should resist using favorite as a verb. We all know, and delight, in how English can transmute different parts of speech into each other, but "favorite" sounds just plain clumsy as a verb.

Hank Levine a thing- now that's inspired, Tinkle!
