From her wiki page: "A brief high point came in July 1975 when she headlined Joey & Dad, a four-week Sunday night summer replacement series for Cher's 1975-76 variety show in which she performed alongside her own father. Each episode would involve Ray Heatherton waxing nostalgic over life with his daughter while rooting through his attic."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:19pm dale:

remember 'the ugliest girl in town?' about a guy in london who gets dressed in drag to get a job and he becomes london's top fashion model. LOVED it.

I remember a line from the Pixie and Dixie cartoons. Somehow a grand piano disappears and Mr. Jinks asks "Where went the pinano?" Spelled like that. I'd like to find a copy of that online.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:25pm chinchilla:

I also just found this on YouTube, “The Rape of Richard Beck”: Cop Beck (Crenna) thinks rape victims "bring it upon themselves" to be raped but has a mind-changing experience when he himself is raped by a couple of white trash felons, one of whom actually says he's going to make him "squeal like pig" www.youtube.com...
  6:29pm Phillip:

How about bess Armstrong Tom selleck in "high road to China"
  6:29pm conrad:

"stockhausen syndrome" - ha! What happens when you get that?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:29pm dale:

remember 'when things were rotten?' mel brooks take on sherwood forest
Avatar 6:29pm Jeff:

For decades I've remembered just how hilarious I found a Mel Brooks show about Robin Hood called "When Things were Rotten" - I can even still remember the theme song - even though it only lasted for half a season in 1975.

It featured such iconic Seventies yuk-fest players as... wait for it... Dick Van Patten, Bernie Kopell, Ron Rifkin, and Dick Gautier! How could it miss!

I've really really wanted to get to see it again to see if I still love it as much.

A couple of months ago I got that opportunity.

It's really hard to sit through.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:38pm dale:

remember when paul lynde had a show where he was married? to a woman? and had kids? HA HA!
  6:38pm conrad:

Every Bowie fan knows that movie - its' soundtrack was in his section in record stores.
Avatar 6:38pm Jeff:

Two genuinely great shows which should be available and appreciated more:

Now and Again (written by Glenn Gordon Caron), an excellent and human improvement on the "Six Million Dollar Man" idea. I was always annoyed that the same season it came out, there was some piece of crap other show called "Once and Again" about old people in love or something which I thought caused unnecessary title confusion in people's minds.

Cupid (with Paula Marshall and Jeremy Piven) from 1998 or so. It had really great writing, a pleasing air of mystery, and believe it or not *wasn't* ruined by Jeremy Piven's usual trademark smirky smarminess.
  6:39pm SeanG:

that sounds familiar cosmic matrix
  6:39pm phillip:

How about the show called "the immortal"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:39pm dale:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:42pm Kat in Chicago:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:43pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Avatar 6:43pm cosmic matrix:

please, any details about that gallagher TV show??? i can't find any reference to it on the 'net. maybe it wasn't gallagher? secret bunker with automatic doors in the side of a mountain!?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:43pm Caryn:

@Phillip: I think most, if not all, of the Irwin Allen's are available on dvd, just because I can remember a 2-page spread ad for the box sets from a magazine a year or two ago.
Avatar 6:44pm InBrkly:

geeze I am checking for DVDs but I guess I have bad Amazon-fu. Well I see a dvd from 2005 that is some other show but I'm thinking of the one from the 80s that was like encyclopedia brown but with computer hackers.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:44pm dale:

Swag For Life Member 6:50pm Alfredo Garcia:

can you find me the full run of "guiding light"? overdue for criterion treatment.
  6:51pm Robert:

Of course you never know with these stories of over-written tapes, films destroyed to recover their silver.... Remember how Jackie Gleason let those stories out for years, and then miraculously pulled out those lost episodes?
  6:53pm Robert:

The Holzers gave out a story of the movie of "We The Living" being rare, to hype it, but there were LOADS of prints of it in Italy.
  6:53pm trs:

Oh. Hey.
Hilarious H of F-stein ep1

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:02pm Caryn:

Aw, Nick, can't find anything except individual sketches...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:06pm Nick the Bard:

i've found some sketechs, but like, none of what i'm looking for :/ ("The Pen-Cil", most of the Top Cops stuff, ugh, stupid me not recording every mid-90's syndicated sketch comedy shows)
Avatar 7:08pm groucho:

My gf has talked through the entire show :/ can't wait for the archive
  7:34pm paulybrklynny:

longshot, but there was a post-apocolyptic animated show on in the mid, or possibly early 70's.

Aliens had invaded and conquered the entire planet, and the story was about a human rebel underground, that, iirc, lived literally underground. I think the aliens used robot soldiers to track down and enslave the remaining humans.

I have no further recollection beyond that. Perhaps I dreamed it all. If so, dibs on the screenplay.

Anyone remember this at all?
