Ken, I dreamed last night I attended a pre-Marathon all-DJ meeting. You were especially emphatic about on-air swearing and keeping up w/ the station cleaning schedule. I'm guessing at least part of this is from having seen Sex & Broadcasting!
I'll get to see it eventually, as long as the kickstarter backing level that I pledged for a DVD copy of the film will still be able to go through. Sometimes the people who run those projects have a hard time getting those pledge level rewards out. I'm optomistic, though.
Flipping hippo made me point at the screen and emit a really stupid-sounding laugh.

if i'm not mistaken in a very old SSD episode (not this one) Ken and Andy made some advance obituaries and I think they also got one right. But I don't remember who's the celebrity.
A: No, you’re the only one. You don’t have journalists over there anymore, what they have is public relations people. That’s what they have over in America now. Two-hundred and fifty thousand people in public relations. And a dwindling number of actual reporters and journalists.

Dan B,
Well, I think WFMU didn't had the budget to buy the stealthy apache helicopter needed to protect the building from radio pirates.
Talking about attack ducks I remembered a weird man that used to take a rooster to work on a leash. He named it 'Attila the Hun'. The most disturbing thing was that the leash was made of the most rudimentary yucca fibre.

so what time is the live show Friday? starts at 7 or 8?
I had to ban somebody from the comments board yesterday, and I reviewed my last few bans. They were all creepy guys making threatening and sexual remarks to female DJs. Not unlike comicsgate and all that...
This Destroy All Monsters comp on Munster is really good. The best one yet. It has stuff from their art days and their Niagra days, and some great unreleased live stuff too.
@F‰F‰ - Of course my meaning was that I was relieved that you were NOT banned. And your threats of rubberized nocturnal attack had nothing to do with this clarification.
Or...R Crumb being twisted into a pretzel by some zeppelin-breasted terrorista in a burka and Doc Martens.

Sam,
That's a good idea.
My dream band would feature:
Female singer of Flying Lizards as the lead singer
Khlam's singer as the chorus singer
Tonetta in the guitar
Kim Fowley on the drums
Helga Schneider as the writer of the songs
They would all dress like the Bee Gees, dance like Madonna and would only play a humpa version of Ravel's bolero with lyrics in German. And Neil Young would be the manager.
That would be my dream team band.

Whatever one's feelings may be about the music, there's no denying that Ken's Show has the finest GIFs in the land. BTW, I just did a little research and learned that GIF is pronounced "JIF." No wonder all the millenials are snickering at me.
Another guy was mentioning it on Facebook last night. I'll have to check it out. I was saying recently that TV is currently missing a quality anthology series, and it looks like this will fit the bill.

This version of Lonely Sea is one of those rare instances where the cover is better than the original.
It's not that they'll stop, it's that the contract is up, and will almost likely be renewed. I wonder if Broadchurch and Black Mirror are included as one is an ITV show and the other is Channel 4, both separate from the BBC.

hello Ken from motleyfoo, aka tom chiu from the FLUX Qt, from this wknd's great party..... this MBV tune is aging quite well !!!!
I went into Black Mirror without prior knowledge and started thinking it was going to be like MI5 or something. . .when the pig thing happened I was all 'No way. NO WAY!" But now I get it, so I need to catch up with the rest.
The problem with the Lonnie Holley songs is that they disregard the observance of the laws of songs which requires writing songs that last no more than 3 minutes.

The song you played with Bob Hund is actually called "Ett fall & en lösning". Love your show
@ parq -before I saw your post I was thinking there was a glummer shade of Donald O'Connor in the portrait, but, you're right -- definitely some Bones in that Bowie.
Given that 1) another Bohemian Rhapsody show would be the greatest, and 2) it would be greater if it existed than if it didn't exist, it must therefore exist, by ontological necessity. Ken just has to bring it into this dimension for us.
I GUESS you were talking about the FAUST song Ken ?

Jon, you will not be able to escape the next Bohemian Rhapsody show, Your IP address has been collected. Expect a WFMU Radio Drone hovering near you soon. The Attack Ducks will prevent you from taking it down .
Watched all the Black Mirrors. Liked most of them quite a lot. Jessica Brown Findlay is the pictured "Black Mirror actress" above. Better known as Downton Abbey's Lady Sybil.
