Fired up, Todd O! Phonic me!
Avatar 3:16pm fred:

Hey Sem! What are you brewing these days?
Avatar 3:17pm JakeGould:

I like your energy today, Todd.
Avatar 3:23pm fred:

@Todd: beware your guest, he's been know to indulge in redundancy. Then again, I guess it means he's no threat to steal your show
Avatar 3:23pm Joe B:

Hey Gyp, better than the animals version!
3:24pm David in ATL from NJ:

You're KILLING it today T-O-D!!!!!

That Karen Verros track blew my mind.
Avatar 3:26pm Sem Chumbo:

Hiya, fred. Just back from the oven where rye bread is on the go. At the distillery, these are dark rum days, so the shop smells of molasses, powerfully.
Avatar 3:27pm JakeGould:

Yeah Todd, I was critical about your Milky Way bar for a meal. But I—as a fellow American—did not deny you the right to eat a Milky Way bar.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:28pm Tim 07030:

Possibly my favorite Springsteen song
Avatar 3:32pm fred:

Distillery, what a wonderful word... All about the promise that may or not be fulfilled years down the line
Avatar 3:33pm Todd-o-phonic Todd:

Thanks for listening everyone!
  3:34pm SeanG:

Avatar 3:35pm Sem Chumbo:

@fred: we just bottled out first cask (Jack Daniels bourbon barrel) of 5-year rum (the distillery is just 6 years old.) Smooth as a nun's bum. Better than we had hoped, being as yet hopeless amateurs but unstoppable experimenters.
Avatar 3:38pm northguineahills:

Awesomely jealous, Sem!
Avatar 3:38pm fred:

@Sem: don't stop experimenting, that's how you stumble onto greatness. Is there a way to get some of that smoothness here in Europe?
Avatar 3:39pm northguineahills:

Too bad amateur distilling is illegal here in the States, and impractical in an apartment. Of course I fear my results would end up like Homer Simpson's.
  3:40pm Sissophonic Cheryl:

Wow Todd-O-Phonic, professional bakers listening while the rye bread is being made!
Avatar 3:43pm fred:

@Sissophonic Cheryl: Quality attracks quality
Avatar 3:45pm Joe B:

It's a real cookin' show!
Avatar 3:45pm Sem Chumbo:

@ngh: it is illegal in Canada, as well. I work with a small batch craft distiller here in Nova Scotia. Wood fired still, runs of 30 litres at a time. Hand-crafted, you know?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:45pm bannedinjapan:

And if you can't SHAKE... SHOUT!!! Sounds good, Toddophonic.
Avatar 3:46pm Sem Chumbo:

@joe B: got the oven set to * BROIL * now!
Avatar 3:49pm fred:

@Sem: are you sticking to Rum only? Your setup looks promising for whisky, just saying
  3:49pm Sissophonic Cheryl:

Times SCARE, honey. Located in Times Square.
  3:51pm Sissophonic Cheryl:

@fred, how right you are
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:53pm Melissa Jean:

hay sounding awesome!
Avatar 3:53pm Sem Chumbo:

@fred: we make apple vodka, pear and apple brandy, and a variety of infusions of local fruits, including arctic kwi and Saskatoon berry.
We leave the whiskey to another Nouvelle Ecosse outfit: www.glenoradistillery.com They waited ten years to sell their first drop of single malt.

  3:56pm SeanG:

Missouri rocks!
Avatar 3:56pm Joe B:

RIP Lou. Like his protege Ben Vaughn, Lou was a gateway to many great records and artists in addition to his own great songs, things he covered, produced, recommended, etc.
Avatar 4:00pm fred:

@Sem: I'd love to taste this, but finding it looks like a challenge. Asking about it is a great way to make it happen though, so I'll do that
  4:00pm geokopp:

Lovin' the show, Todd! Sounds like yer having' a blast!
Avatar 4:05pm Sem Chumbo:

@fred: I'll make a few inquiries at this end, maybe there's an easy connection via trade promotion people. Let me work on it a bit:-)
Maybe because we have 3 giant Michelin plants here, this might be easier than it first appears.
  4:05pm Mark:

"Flying Saucers Rock & Roll" is 10 motherfuckers.
Avatar 4:06pm fred:

@Sem: are they aging the casks next to the sea? I like it best that way, you can always tell, though it's not the same Atlantic over there, maybe less salty
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:07pm Uncle Michael:

I can't believe someone covered this!
Avatar 4:12pm Sem Chumbo:

@fred: goo.gl...
  4:14pm Kathy:

Avatar 4:16pm Joe B:

  4:18pm SeanG:

Fuck Yeah! MEKONS
Avatar 4:19pm Simon P:

MEKONS oh yeah!
Avatar 4:20pm fred:

@Sem: looks good. I'm going to spread the word. But what about peat, you don't have that there, do you? Salt and peat are what I love most in whisky
  4:22pm dennis diken:

go Todd go!
Avatar 4:30pm Sem Chumbo:

@fred: thanks to the last ice age, which scraped the landscape down to granite---just likie Old Scotland---nous avons ici la tourbe comme vous avez chacuterie. Partout.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:30pm Melissa Jean:

DAMN MAN it's been waaay too long since I heard both "First Cut" & this JL! singin along
Avatar 4:33pm Sem Chumbo:

Slayin', Todd-o-phonic. Bodies everywhere.
Avatar 4:33pm fred:

@Sem: Peat trumps salt any day. This looks like prime whisky territory. I can't wait to taste this. After the marathon, that is, until then I will abstain from any expense
  4:34pm Officer Pupp:

That Nicky Hopkins piano on Jealous Guy ... Oh man!
4:34pm David in ATL from NJ:

This show has been great, Todd. Thanks so much.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:37pm Gaylord Fields:

Perhaps Linda is singing to Little Richard (which would also explain his traveling to the beat of a different drum).
Avatar 4:39pm Sem Chumbo:

@fred: keen to help, and hear your report. Will update you as news become available.
Avatar 4:41pm Lemmy Skynyrd:

evidently, this is where the action is...

Avatar 4:47pm Todd-o-phonic Todd:

Thanks for the update Jerry! Hope you are watching with sound off!
Avatar 4:49pm fred:

@Sem: don't hold your breath: my sister and my brother's birthdays are both in March, as is the marathon. With that stupidly strong dollar, I'm broke into summer at best. Not even sure I can pledge as much as I want, and that comes first
  4:52pm Listener Jumpy:

Now, there's a Jam song!
Avatar 4:52pm Sem Chumbo:

Understood. No pressure whatever.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:53pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Nice work today, Todd. I trust Pat will supply similarly hopping tunes for his hour.
  4:54pm Ignore Function:

Good jams this afternoon, Todd.
Avatar 5:00pm fred:

@Sem: I knew that, but I wanted to tell you my lack of support came from dedication to the station, not a call on their merits
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:05pm Gaylord Fields:

Todd plus Pat is too exciting for my middle-aged heart! I just turned on Lawrence Welk on the TV just to put a lid on the possibly lethal dosage of greatness to be found this hour.

This show's turned out to be quite fuct up!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:34pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...*my* sources say the Todd-Pat feud began from rumors originating from North Korea...
  5:35pm Stuart Rose:

Hey, Todd, that Angels outfielder of yore was Ken Berry-who shared a name with the Andy Griffith show actor.
Avatar 5:38pm Todd-o-phonic Todd:

Me and Pat have the smartest listeners!
Avatar 5:40pm acid casualty:

Wow, pat's pulling out all the stops!
  5:45pm Mark:

Ken Berry peaked on "F-Troop."
  5:46pm P-90:

I think a few of them were peaking while shooting F-Troop
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:49pm Guido from Cologne:

German Drinking Songs going Raggae! ... oh no!
  5:53pm Stuart Rose:

Ah, F-Troop. Larry Storch peaked on that one, too.
Todd preserves all who have peaked in aspic- and the still alive and kickin'
Avatar 5:57pm Joe B:

everyone knows Berry peaked with Herbie Rides Again
  5:59pm Station Manager Fred:
