Avatar 12:23pm Sem Chumbo:

Hiya, Liz, work break delight! Thanks!
Avatar 12:26pm Cheri Pi:

Cats meowing over this track is pretty wicked.
  12:29pm Billy Jean:

I was just doing the same, mashing this Liz B show with a random Liz B show from 2011 archives with 10H of meowing .. I think I had something going!
Avatar 12:30pm Chris from DC:

Yeah that works great over this Johnny Ripper.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:31pm Liz Berg:

I was hoping there would be a catstep tool out there on the interwebs, but alas, only dogstep:
Avatar 12:37pm ottovonbqe:

I am swinging my cat by his tail and his screams are really complementing this track nicely.
  12:39pm Billy Jean:

I hope you own a panther, lion and or cheetah!
  1:01pm Moe:

What a mean Radioaktivität - Cat - Mix, I was really going to the balcony to check if some cat would get hurt or something, in the meantime the kid threw a glass filled with water from the table. Blargh. Cheers from Kraftwerk-country.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:11pm Liz Berg:

Sorry Moe!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:17pm steve:

the source code for dogstep is online. if i have time i might have to make the catstep generator we've all been waiting for.
Avatar 1:17pm Cheri Pi:

thanks Steve!! the people have spoken.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:19pm SeanG:

your shows are kicking ass Liz!
  1:20pm brandon:

i don't know if it's just because i was born in 1980... but i love scratching. it's primal, moves my little vertebrae...
  1:21pm brandon:

james brown has similar powers and when combined with scratching and rap it's just foot moving... shoulder jerking
Avatar 1:22pm Claw!:

Liz, your first show of 2015 has been KICK-ASS so far. Soooo good!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:22pm SeanG:

kicking AZZ!
  1:23pm Mark:

The Impossebulls is a pretty good name, I think...
Avatar 1:23pm PKNY:

Wow, it's been a loooong time since I've heard a new hiphop songs I've actually liked! Definitely helps to have someone chopping up James Brown to make the track.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:23pm common:

  1:24pm brandon:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:31pm Liz Berg:

Yeah Steve! You will be famous on the internet if you make catstep! Hi to everyone else who just checked in and happy 2015!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:38pm Mike East:

loved that Warriors track. diggin this, too.
Avatar 1:58pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Liz, check email if you somehow have a sec?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:00pm Mike East:

I found out this morning that my 2 year old has learned that the WFMU app on my phone means "radio"
  2:00pm Ray:

As always, a happy quality show. HNY and thank you.
Avatar 2:07pm JakeGould:

Mike, cool thing. You know a tween thing nowadays with smartphones is to actually hold the bottom part—with the speaker—up to their ear to listen to music? Kind of like the old days of AM radio.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:11pm nickybones:

Ty Segall forever!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:11pm Mike East:

@JakeGould - was just talking about that with a coworker with tweens. Its just strange since a lot of current pop tends to be very bass heavy, which is totally lost on the cell phone speakers. Hopefully it comes back around again and they eventually move up to the modern equivalent of a hifi.
Avatar 2:17pm JakeGould:

Mike, I am hoping that decent stand-alone MP3 players become a thing again. I mean look at the craze for the iPod classic. I believe there is a market out there for people who just want a simple MP3 player.
Avatar 2:19pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Get an old used Sansa Clip and install Rockbox on it!
Avatar 2:20pm Cheri Pi:

haha the title of this song...
Avatar 2:21pm JakeGould:

I’ll get an old Realistic AM radio, shove the old Sansa clip in there and tell you kids to get off my lawn!
Avatar 2:22pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

I meant a Sansa Clip from 1972.
Avatar 2:42pm Mugsy:

Great set today, lot of stuff new to me, you play the most artists I never heard of.
  2:44pm Mark:

This Dial is cool shit. Very scrape-y. Sounds like she blew up the vocal mic.
  2:47pm gian:

  2:49pm Mark:

This is probably the coolest set of music put together by anyone, ever.
  2:51pm gian:

agreed, gnawa music is also rad as fuck although i believe gnawa is of morroco
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:53pm Liz Berg:

Thanks Mark! This tune is Fulani wedding music, recorded near the Niger-Burkina Faso border.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:53pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Yes! - still disoriented by my WFtUesday line-up changing - but as I listen to JoeB afterwerk on archive, & I now have this on my day off (Tue.) - I can see it is much a Gain not a Loss ! : )
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:55pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

  2:56pm Claw!:

Thanks for a great show, Liz! Many stars were clicked today. :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:57pm Ike:

Sony keeps making the MP3 Walkman despite seemingly nobody having one but me, and it's cheap and I use it a lot (despite getting sucked into the world of the eeeeevil smartphone). Sounds better than an iPod too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:59pm Ike:

Damn, I have such a slow response time today. And this week. This year. This lifetime.

Cool show Liz; have a good one!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:59pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- better than iPod - interesting Ike...
  3:00pm ?:

Wow! "Science Fiction Park Bundesrepublik" is new to me. Must investigate further...
Avatar 2:26pm Falcoa:

fantastic mix! MEOW!
  9:19am ?:

Connect the Dots has a small Halloween soundtrack arrangement in it
