Hi Laura and panda :)
  10:02pm Laura:

How are you tonight? :)
  10:02pm P-90:

Hi Danne. Hi Pat, didn't come down cuz I heard your radio show was SOLD OUT tonight. How 'bout that, Good Ol' DJ Disk Jockey's Saturday night show is a Hot Ticket! So: we ARE allowed to post comments?

I'm doing alright Laura :) Lovin' the rock Pat is dishing out :) How about you?

Hi P-90 :) I thought Pat's radio show was next week. And yeah I have a Devils game so I fear I'm going to miss out on the fun next Saturday :(
  10:07pm P-90:

I've been informed that the concert and the radio show are separate things? I had the impression they were one and the same. Either way, the show sounds great as always...
  10:10pm Andy Stein:

Yeah, Pat! Pump me up for this hideous Lyft shift I have to do in an hour!
  10:10pm Laura:

A friend of mine online actually told me about WFMU and I don't know much about the shows yet really but I am enjoying it so far! :) and I'm well!!
  10:10pm P-90:

Yeah Danne, I was off by a week. Fighting the end of semester Deadline Wars in this graduate program I'm doing at Columbia; the rest of the world recedes into a fuzzy blur. I mean even fuzzier than usual...
Avatar 10:13pm Danne D:

@Laura oh you'll love the station :) If you don't like a particular show you are hearing come back in a couple hours and it'll be something totally different.

Another fun way to find shows you might like is to look up bands that you like and see what DJs play them:

By the way signing up for the friendship society is free :) You can do so at the top of the page and then you can get a nifty avatar like I have :)

Forgivable P-90, largely b/c you are a genius :)

Speaking of Toms, great job helping out Tom with his test run today, Pat :)

Holy crap, Pat Byrne! You are transporting me to my teenage years. This is such a great set, and now CvB! Swoon.
  10:24pm Laura:

Very handy, thank you, Danne! Certainly there are a lot of artists! :)
Avatar 10:25pm Danne D:

Surprised that there hasn't been a Skinheads Bowling League started up somewhere :)
  10:25pm P-90:

I thought the Rye Coalition show and the "Live" Prove it all Night were one big extravaganza, which impressed me because if I'm not mistaken, no ones's done a whole shift from Monty Hall live in real time yet... they record an event and post-produce it for broadcast later. When Pat DOES do a live-"live" broadcast of a PiaN show w/ live performances and an audience, I wanna be there. That's a challenge, it means making Monty Hall function at a different level, almost like a professional TV studio. "Hoof & Mouth" worked well enough from there, I figure it's only a matter of time...
Avatar 10:25pm Danne D:

@Laura yep - take the most obscure band you know - one that you think other folks don't know about - and search 'em - you might just find 'em on here :)
Avatar 10:26pm Danne D:

@P-90 perhaps the event on the 20th is the first live non-Hoof-N-Mouth broadcast?
Avatar 10:27pm Danne D:

with the holidays coming up - lots of good fill-in folks will be on the air in the coming weeks too guys:
  10:29pm P-90:

Welcome New Listener Laura! You've got a real treat in store if you're just starting to explore the bizarre alternate dimension that is WFMU.

Yay Pavement :)
Avatar 11:11pm Danne D:

  11:11pm rw:

Krampus! What's a Krampus?
  11:13pm rw:

Oh, a beast-like creature from the folklore of Alpine countries thought to punish children during the Christmas season who had misbehaved.
Avatar 11:13pm Danne D:

I don't think a Pavement song has been done at Hoof N Mouth yet. A little surprised by that :)
  11:14pm P-90:

rw: yeah, he's like the European Chupacabra
Avatar 11:15pm Bad Krampus Zero:

I have an insatiable thirst for the blood of children.

But only the bad children. They deserve it.
  11:15pm P-90:

@BGZ: what's the Krampus konnection?
  11:16pm rw:

My kids had better start shaping up quick.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:17pm sugarwolf:

I prefer Icelandic Christmas Cat to Krampus.
  11:18pm Marc:

I was under the impression that this was a talk show. Oops, my bad.

Let's Party
Avatar 11:21pm Bad Krampus Zero:

@P-90: I change my name during the holidays. In October I'm Bad Ghost Zero. Then I become Bad Giblet Zero on November 1. I change to Bad Krampus Zero from Thanksgiving to Christmas. Sometimes I'm Baby New Year Zero the first week of January.
  11:21pm rw:

Yule Cat!! A huge and vicious cat said to lurk about the snowy countryside during Christmastime and eat people who have not received any new clothes to wear before Christmas Eve!
Avatar 11:23pm Danne D:

Ever Bad Friday Zero around Easter, BGZ?
  11:23pm P-90:

@ BGZ: Cool, I've noticed the name changes, just wondered if Krampus had some special significance, besides the season and the fact that he's cool as fuck.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:24pm sugarwolf:

@rw: yes!!
Avatar 11:26pm Bad Krampus Zero:

@Danne: I change my avatar to Zombie Jesus for Easter.

@P-90: There's zero significance to any of it.

  11:51pm JakeGould:

Why can't BGZ change his handle?

I love what he just said about "residual metal bands" !
