Portland's finest!
Avatar 3:06am Sem Chumbo:

Hiya, Jeff. Hey, Larst, who was first.
Avatar 3:07am Larst:

Hi Sem
Avatar 3:07am Jeff Conklin:

Hey, y'all. Looks like Larst slid in there by a nose
Avatar 3:08am Larst:

As much as I dig Richard Meltzer he kinda stepped all over Smega every time I saw them, nice to hear them Spoken Word free.
Avatar 3:09am Mugsy:

Nice open.
Avatar 3:10am Jeff Conklin:

Hey, Mugsy, thanks!
Avatar 3:12am Sem Chumbo:

Man, the Modal Rounders. You are in the groove now. Beautiful, it has been a great long while:-)
Avatar 3:28am Sem Chumbo:

Oh, yah. Thank you, Akarma.
Avatar 3:29am Larst:

diggin' the commune rock
Avatar 3:35am Jeff Conklin:

That Farm Band is so cringe-y at first but once they crack it open....
Avatar 3:45am Mugsy:

Fungal Abyss; Bardo Abgrund Temple from 2013 is their only record on spotify, definitely going to give that a spin. This is a fine selection, keep on rockin'!
Avatar 3:45am Jeff Conklin:

This band is totally new to me, Mugsy. My friend put this tape out and its KILLER. Will have to look into that one.
Avatar 3:46am Larst:

love the drums
Avatar 3:48am Mugsy:

Brand new to me too, never heard it before, just rocking along with you. I look bands up as you play them and listen at a later date.
Avatar 3:50am Sem Chumbo:

Diggin' this one deep.
Avatar 3:53am Mugsy:

Triple Door is a club in Seattle.
Avatar 3:54am Jeff Conklin:

Makes sense, Mugsy, Eiderdown is Seattle-based.
Avatar 3:56am Mugsy:

Seat map looks like a mini BB Kings. I have another few minutes to kill till my wife wakes up. I will be listening, have a good week.
Avatar 3:57am Jeff Conklin:

Thanks, Mugsy, you too.
Avatar 3:58am Larst:

Great soundtrack to "Season of The Witch: How The Occult Saved R&R" which so far is a pretty good read.
  4:10am Mark:

"A bottle of pop"! Dude, are you from Michigan?!
Avatar 4:11am Jeff Conklin:

HAHAHA. I'm not, Mark. Somehow it just felt like the right thing to say.
Avatar 4:11am Larst:

Mark, "Pop" is the nomenclature for soda out here in Oregon as well. Took me many years to get used to.
Avatar 4:14am Jeff Conklin:

I almost said the brand name of the SODA but didn't want to advertise for them. Not really a soda/pop drinker. I'm a seltzer guy but ill take the caffeine where I can get it out here in the hinterlands.
  4:17am Mark Dwinell:

Sounding good man
Avatar 4:17am Jeff Conklin:

Maaaaaark (Dwinell), whats up, man?? You in China?
  4:18am Mark:

Does it start with a "C"? I know that stuff is poison, but man, sometimes it just hits the spot. I grew up in Michigan, just moved to the East Coast a couple of years ago, and I'm still learning to say "soda." Loving the show so far, Jeff!
  4:18am Mark Dwinell:

Ha I wish! Going back in February
  4:19am Mark Dwinell:

Is this Ondness now?
Avatar 4:21am Jeff Conklin:

Thanks, Mark. Yes, Mark (Dwinell), it is
Avatar 4:53am Sem Chumbo:

What a ear-full this show has been so far!
Offered in the most complimentary way.
Oh, it is *pop* here in Nova Scotia, *soda* is a sign that you are * from away*
  4:57am Shep:

Checking in from Northern France. Here, we say neither pop nor soda. Just "un coca." But, hell, I'm from out in Utah where we say pop.
Avatar 5:10am Larst:

beautiful. wasn't aware of this series despite keeping an eye on orcutt and bishop. this is super.
Avatar 5:13am Jeff Conklin:

Hey, Shep. Thanks for checking in.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:30am mauri:

Avatar 5:36am Jeff Conklin:

Hey, Mauri. Glad you liked that one.
  5:37am the Canterbury wood-elf:

Thanks, Jeff, for the gentle-but-stimulating soundtrack to this rather bleak Monday morning in Canterbury. Perfect.
Avatar 5:39am Jeff Conklin:

Quite welcome, Canterbury
Avatar 5:43am pierre:

I love you WFMU
