Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:59pm Daniel Blumin:

Common, whatcha drawin'? Steve, thanks be onto you and may the comatose feeling lift your spirits! Fleep, I've always very much admired the artistry of parquetry! Many thanks!
Avatar 8:00pm steve:

oo nice bed music
Avatar 8:13pm Mayuko:

I really liked that that Sarah's track didn't remind me of Japanese gagaku at all despite of using sho. She made it into something of her own music.
Avatar 8:26pm TDK60:

We are leaving this orbit...
Avatar 8:27pm steve:

the Radian and Howe Gelb thing was so good i had one of those "buy now" moments. but it looks like it isnt out yet?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:31pm Daniel Blumin:

think it's out tomorra, Steve! Mayuko, here's the story: unsounds.com...
Avatar 8:31pm dk:

looks like you can preorder radian v. howe gelb via radianreleases.at
if i could only figure out how to do the same for németh's "koi" i'd be mr. happy-happy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:36pm Daniel Blumin:

Koi is out on the 1st - I'll look into info after the show, dk!
Avatar 8:41pm steve:

thanks dk! i also just found it for preorder at Forced Exposure (in US so likely less shipping cost).
  8:41pm Indushkin-man:

Gobbelah gobbelah if u get my meaning
Avatar 8:44pm dk:

danke, herr blumin!

shoulda thought to check forced exposure, they're pretty much the internet's obscuro music megamart. sadly, the németh record isn't on their preorder list.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:45pm Ike:

Any of yous preparing non-traditional things for Thanksgiving? Interesting recipes, anyone?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:47pm George of Troy:

Cut Hands! Nice.
  8:47pm Indushkin-man:

Gougères et baked brussels
Avatar 8:47pm Mayuko:

Thanks for the link, Daniel! I didn't know anything about contemporary sho music that she mentions. But now I remember that there was news that Stockhausen composed gagaku music and made Japanese critiques pretty upset then. I'll check out those stuff!
Avatar 8:47pm steve:

Ike, my mom makes an unstoppable tofurkey dinner with mushroom gravy, but heck if i know the secret

Avatar 8:56pm dk:

we're attempting tofurkey in the slow-cooker this year, which should prove interesting, if nothing else.
  8:57pm Cliff:

  8:58pm Indushkin-man:

Ok. Tofurkey and nutloaf will most likely (no offense) be bUrnered.
Avatar 8:58pm steve:

Howdy to Mayuko and everyone who dug Delicate Paths - Sarah on the sho front here in Toronto. You can also get Delicate Paths from CD Baby, but be sure to read the online/extended foreword at unsounds.com (42U). Various excellent contemporary music for the sho is listed on the wikis under Shō (instrument). My fav is Hosokawa and Takemitsu. And I have lots more you can check out at CBC Music (google it with my name for my 'band' pages). Cheers, Sarah Peebles
