Can't stop the WFMU lovin' this day :P
Avatar 3:12pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

sorry; i got in the habit of calling him Glen Dracula in my head, after a photo I took during a set in DC a couple years ago. He was full of appropriately Draculish poses.
Avatar 3:13pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Dig the ascension, of course..

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:50pm steve:

OMD on Fabio! love it!
Avatar 3:51pm fred:

A failure of me: A few weeks ago, at a show, a friend introduces me to a guy name Peter, who notices my WFMU bag and T-shirt and tells me he loves the station. Later, he says his band played on the station some time ago. Like in the late 80's. He said his band was called Missing Foundation. I said I didn't know it and would check it out. I did... I'm ashamed, but also happy to have finally learned about it.
Avatar 3:52pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

HA! Peter Missing, briefly not missing!
Avatar 3:53pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

By the way: Six hundred thumbs-up for Expo 70. Always. Yay.
Avatar 3:54pm tØɗɗ:

Avatar 3:55pm fred:

Bonus failures: I had my Chris T lighter and used it while talking with him, highlighting my cluelessness. And he was wearing a pendant with the band's logo
Avatar 3:56pm fred:

@RTD: he actually plays near Paris next week
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:57pm cory:

this is what i like about failure. it leads to success.
Avatar 3:58pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

I'd be curious to know what MF is up to these days. It's been, ..... uh...... what.... 24 years since the 1933 album came out? (the peak, in my humble opinion)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:58pm sphere:

I missed MB! <sob>
  4:05pm ?:

"here and now", no?
Avatar 4:06pm fred:

@RTD: it's a solo set, "opening" for Arrington De Dyoniso (there are 5 sets in this show)
Avatar 4:07pm Whosondephone:

The Rain Falls Mainly on the Plane.
  4:08pm Marcel M:

Thanks Fabio!! Yes a little homage/joke on Miles :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11pm steve:

someone donated two great cds by Maja's old duo Fe-Mail to the station a few months ago, Blixter Toad and All Men Are Pigs.
Avatar 4:14pm Milson:

What is the weather like where everyone is at? It is finally raining in California!
  4:15pm Marty:

I still have that Giant Man song stuck in my head
Avatar 4:17pm Mugsy:

Getting cold but not unbearable in NJ.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:17pm steve:

sunny and cold in NY, just the way i like it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:18pm Lewis:

sunny and seasonal temps here in the Twin Cities; gonna have something like a thaw over the weekend...
  4:20pm matt:

Looking very much forward to that thaw.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:20pm adrian in mpls:

yes, the blissful 30 degree weather!
Avatar 4:22pm MacGuffin:

Reasonably warm and sunny here in south of France. Not now, obviously, as it's night-time... I understand the North Americans are having some troublesome weather.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:23pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...I'm on Staycation - Eric Dolphy's Out To Lunch - & Sun Ra knew it wuz after the end of the world...staying tuned...
Avatar 4:23pm Chris from DC:

I guess there'll be 8 feet of snow in parts of New York soon?
Avatar 4:26pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Mister Storey!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:27pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

@MacGuffin: Here my part of New Hampshire in North New England - known for our long cold Winters - barely any snow yet & hovering around Freezing; it's around the Great Lakes - upper Midwest - & Northern New York state like Buffalo - that often have the Lake Effect w/ precipitation - & *record* snowfall right now - which is expected to melt this weekend & flood. As I always say - the Climatologists promised higher temps would mean fewer but larger storms...
Avatar 4:41pm doca:

Why Zé Ramalho, why would you end up recording that ashaming album of Bob Dylan covers? Why?
Avatar 4:42pm JakeGould:

My opinion of the snow? The Buffalo Bills offering $10 per hour and a ticket to a game VERSUS THE JETS, is the definition of FAIL.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:42pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Glenn Dracula! : The Children of the Night! What Music we make!...which is not surprising cause we got like 20 guitars...
- Hey tØɗɗ ! : ) ...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:46pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

@tØɗɗ: 1st heard the song 'Lesbian Seagull' last night. Band name? : )
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:46pm cory:

$10/hr is better than I make, do i have to watch the football game?
Avatar 4:47pm tØɗɗ:

Jonathan Lesbian Seagull
Avatar 4:47pm JakeGould:

$10 an hour to go to Buffalo to shovel snow. Nope.
Avatar 4:47pm northguineahills:

I would do it If I was already in Buffalo.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:48pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...10 to shovel, & *another* $10 to watch football?? Keep talking...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:50pm cory:

btw, the music is really good fabio
Avatar 4:51pm JakeGould:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:24pm Carmichael:

Speaking of whether or not the weather is hot, it has been raining solidly for two days in NorCal. I guess the drought is over, at least for today.
Avatar 5:24pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

We have an ointment for that, Monk...
Avatar 5:26pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

  5:34pm mary:

Oh yes, Frankie Teardrop!!!! Tom was cool w that!
  5:36pm Dean:

Dang, I thought "Frankie Teardrop" was the tune to sing with the family on a long road trip. Helps us bond. Yeah. Bond.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:40pm Carmichael:

Wow, this sounds like Kenny G and Jandek tripping together.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:45pm Andrew Waterloo:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:54pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...Thx Fabio !
...like the tales of Alan Vega wrapping mike cord around people's necks & such...
Avatar 5:55pm Marcel M:

I saw Rocket from the tombs when they got back together and it was just SAD... like literally sad.... Thats the type of band that needs to burn out.
Avatar 5:56pm sFrances from PDX:

Television did a reunion tour in the late 80s/early 90s that I saw in Richmond,VA and wasn't disappointed--but I can't think of any reunion I'd want to see now….
Avatar 5:56pm Marcel M:

Dylan also never really stopped except for that short period around 67. I'm going too Clay! Not sure how it will go..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:57pm Carmichael:

I'd like to see Wham get back together. HA HA HA, I actually said that!!
Avatar 5:57pm V Priceless:

The Damned still rock, and I can still relate.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:58pm steve:

you'll never live this one down Carmichael
Avatar 5:58pm Sem Chumbo:

Cohen is our National uber-mensch.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:58pm cory:

Jacob Dylan did a really good interview w/ Marc Maron on WTF.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:59pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

'Decline of Western Civ. Part 1' :
- Why you play so fast?
- That's how intense the Inspiration is.
- Why songs so short?
...The Inspiration only lasts that long...

...Dylan's got a real good band just now; the so-called 'Never-Ending Tour' w/ him; always been some shows good, some not...
- Stones were always Blue-based, as was Dylan more than is often thot: Bluesman aren't good *until* mature. Stones just got exceptional stamina. Run to see 'em Live. Can't remember being excited about a New Stones Record, though...
  6:00pm dave in Vermont:

Julian Lennon was my fist concert at Six Flags over Texas.
For years I always said The Kinks at the Beacon Theater was my first concert.
