Hello, KP!
  12:09am Steve-O:

Hi Therese.....hope you're doing fine. =)
Avatar 12:10am sugarwolf:

ohhhh a themed show!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10am Therese:

I'm doing well, Steve-o. I have live music from Ex Hex later in the program!
Avatar 12:10am Rick Heinegeber:

Now, this takes me back.
Avatar 12:11am Bad Giblet Zero:

Holidays inspire Therese to put together a themed playlist. And they're always great!
Avatar 12:15am Rick Heinegeber:

Yea - I think this is a theme I can get into - Hi Therese!
  12:15am JakeGould:

I like themed shows. Thank you!
  12:17am Everythingispop (London, ON Canada):

Hi Therese, your playlists are always an inspiration. Nicely done!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:18am Therese:

Thanks, everyone! It won't be a fully themed show, but definitely a themed set.
Avatar 12:22am KP:

We salute you
Avatar 12:25am Andrew Fetter:

Hey Therese and all fellow listeners!
Avatar 12:26am Andrew Fetter:

Very excited for Ex Hex!
12:26am Bob in DC and/or Virginia:

Hey there, Therese! Happy Veterans Day week, and thank you for sticking around in the new station sked.
  12:28am JakeGould:

I accept themed sets as well.

  12:33am Steve-O:

Pretty much every ancestor of mine that I know of, from that era, was also on the Union side.....one maternal line(surnamed Dezotell, for those interested in genealogy) lost all but one or two of their five (or was it six?) sons in the war. =(
12:33am Bob in DC and/or Virginia:

I'm way behind in watching the current Doctor Who season, but so far it seems like a big mess. I'm glad to hear it gets better.
  12:37am Lonely Planet Boy:

My favorite track on this LP.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42am Ike:

IMHO this season of Dr. Who was loads of fun and much more thoughtful and focused than the previous 2 seasons (except for that ridiculous Robin Hood ep.), but YMMV, Bob. I dig the cranky new Doctor a lot.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:44am Therese:

Ike- absolutely. Peter Capaldi's Doctor is fantastically cranky. And much more alien than the last three (4, if we count the War Doctor) Doctors have been.
Avatar 12:44am Andrew Fetter:

I feel like Capaldi and this season in general is more reminiscent of the original run of the show. I felt there was a bit too much teen drama in the Tennant and Smith years. Still liked them plenty, but I've really enjoyed where the show has gone this past season. Still have yet to watch the finale though.
12:45am Bob in DC and/or Virginia:

Well, I haven't gotten last the Robin Hood episode, so that may be coloring my thinking.
Avatar 12:46am Andrew Fetter:

This Fugazi demo is pretty awesome. Can't wait to hear the entire thing.
  12:53am Phillip (Brooklyn):

I am probably the only one who has watched all the actors who played doctor who
  12:54am Phillip (Brooklyn):

This guy capaldi he is one nasty piece of work worse than the first doctor william hartnell
Avatar 12:56am Bad Giblet Zero:

  12:57am Phillip (Brooklyn):

One word comes to mind with this doctor and that is
  1:00am Phillip (Brooklyn):

curmudgeon! A bad tempered surly old man
1:05am Bob in DC and/or Virginia:

You've got tall tree power!
Avatar 1:08am Rick Heinegeber:

Mr Gorblich, tear down this wall!
Avatar 1:14am Bad Giblet Zero:

John Mellencamp, crumble down the walls.
  1:15am JakeGould:

Hall & Oates in karaoke. And now… Billy Joel is acceptable in karaoke.
Avatar 1:20am Andrew Fetter:

That was a great set, even if it was brief.
  1:22am JakeGould:

I was hoping for “Foolin’” :/
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:23am Aitch:

What has nine arms and sucks? Def Leppard
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:23am Therese:

It was a hard choice, Jake.
Avatar 1:23am Bad Giblet Zero:

\m/ \m/
  1:24am JakeGould:

“What has nine arms and sucks?” A down and out prostitute Octopus with an extra arm at a local sad local bar?
  1:25am JakeGould:

I respect the choice.
  1:25am JakeGould:

Columbia Record & tape club cassette?
Avatar 1:25am ottovonbqe:

I had this cassette too.
Avatar 1:26am Bad Giblet Zero:

"Stage Fright" and "Comin' Under Fire" are my favorite tracks on "Pyromania."
Avatar 1:29am Joe B:

Hi Therese. Just a heads up, I am upstairs, in case you hear any rattling around, it is just me.
Avatar 1:32am Bad Giblet Zero:

The comments are coming from INSIDE THE BUILDING!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:32am Therese:

Thanks for the heads up, Joe! I've already been startled tonight by Dave Mandl and Tony B, one more might kill me!
  1:36am JakeGould:

The call is coming from in the building! Ack! Cathy! Cathy is in the building!
  1:37am JakeGould:

  1:39am Phillip (Brooklyn):

Ex Hex album on I tunes I'm going to buy it once I add some money to my account
I love girl bands
Avatar 1:50am Bad Giblet Zero:

The Ex Hex album is great! It's one of my favorite records released this year.
Avatar 2:02am Bad Giblet Zero:

I looked up June Jackson's releases on Discogs. There's no production credits listed on the page for "Port of Happiness." But some of the records he released prior to that one were produced by Mike Post [THEE Mike Post of TV theme song fame].
Avatar 2:04am Bad Giblet Zero:

It was Belle & James.
  2:06am JakeGould:

Everybody’s talking at me… I can’t hear a word they’re saying… Love it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:07am Therese:

Avatar 2:10am Bad Giblet Zero:

You're welcome!

[BLERG! I misspelled Bell's name]
Avatar 2:53am Bad Giblet Zero:

Have you met the person who is taking over Ning Nong's slot since he's moving to a different night?
  2:57am Steve-O:

Anyway, Therese, wonderful show, as is the usual! I definitely enjoyed Ex Hex, too. Have an excellent week! =)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:58am Therese:

I have not met Jeff Conklin, host of the Avant Ghetto, but I am looking forward to it! And I'm going to miss Mr. Ning Nong...
