Avatar Tue. 11/4/14 3:22am Larst:

just meant it's nice to have someone else dictate the jams. enforcer! whenever I hear the shakers or the fish percussion thingy I know it's gonna be a great Dark Star... i've been turned onto new (old) jams by a neighbor who drives home late at night and parks in front of my place blaring the dead for a long time before exiting vehicle. then i go inside to archive.org and try to figure out what i heard!
Avatar Tue. 11/4/14 3:25am Jeff Conklin:

Hip neighbor! Why not go ask him what he's jammin?
Avatar Tue. 11/4/14 3:27am Larst:

I do, and he's vague and wasted, so hence the figuring out! uh, it's a Dave's Picks... ummmm yeah I gotta go...

This new Sun Ra is sending me over the moon....thanks!
  Tue. 11/4/14 4:34am the Canterbury wood-elf:

Aww, missed a '68 Dark Star *and* the Sun Ra... But i'm sure there are more wonders to come. Good morning Jeff, keep the cosmicness coming...
Avatar Tue. 11/4/14 4:40am Jeff Conklin:

Will do, tCw-e
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 11/4/14 4:44am Eiderdown:

Played one of the more rocking tracks off Alpha Lyrae on my show tonight...but I think I prefer the sleepy bliss of side one...so nice
Avatar Tue. 11/4/14 4:45am Jeff Conklin:

Nice, Adam. You gotta do some archiving, man!
Avatar    Tue. 11/4/14 4:50am Sem Chumbo:

Good morning, Jeff. Looks like an archive trip for me today sometime, for some dark Star and Sun Ra. This CF & tSMB is getting some play around here, I notice. And a good thing it is:-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 11/4/14 4:52am Eiderdown:

Ha, thanks Jeff. I'm a lazy cuss. But I'm going to try to get a mixcloud account going this week...I'll keep ya posted!
Avatar Tue. 11/4/14 4:55am Jeff Conklin:

Morning, Sem. Yeah, that's my favorite jam off the new Forsyth record
Avatar Tue. 11/4/14 4:59am Jeff Conklin:

Started with Sun Ra, ended on Gene Clark. It's a funny world huh guys?
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 11/4/14 5:00am mauri:

the cycle of life jeff.
  Tue. 11/4/14 5:01am the Canterbury wood-elf:

a beautiful arc to that set (even tho' i missed the crucial opener)
  Tue. 11/4/14 5:05am the Canterbury wood-elf:

woah, just realised that Bruce Lacey is the "Mr. Lacey" that Fairport Convention wrote a song about (eccentric inventer/character: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruce_Lacey)
Avatar Tue. 11/4/14 5:08am Jeff Conklin:

Whoah, good pickup, Canterbury!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 11/4/14 5:11am Eiderdown:

Ah, this Hayden Pedigo is released by my local pal Sam Debacle...sounds great
  Tue. 11/4/14 5:11am the Canterbury wood-elf:

"inventor", that should be. Some of his robots were involved in the weird instrumental break of the FC track that bears his name.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 11/4/14 5:27am Eiderdown:

Tuluum Shimmering doing "Dark Star"...ha ha. Sounds good. Gotta get to bed...thanks Jeff for all the great sounds!
Avatar Tue. 11/4/14 5:28am Jeff Conklin:

Thanks, Adam. Yr really gonna miss a sweet jam though....
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 11/4/14 5:31am Eiderdown:

Uh oh....maybe I can stick around
Avatar    Tue. 11/4/14 5:33am Sem Chumbo:

How so very sweet this is...
Avatar Tue. 11/4/14 5:43am Jeff Conklin:

Ever hear a riff and wish it would go on forever? Thankfully this piece is nearly 50 minutes though I'll have to cut it short :(
Avatar    Tue. 11/4/14 5:45am Sem Chumbo:

Mr. Webster has a kind of mad genius for this, I think. Just losing the night here, and sunrise a ways off. Overlooking the just-now-high tide estuary, this is an accidental soundtrack never to be repeated. Like that, a lot.
  Tue. 11/4/14 5:46am the Canterbury wood-elf:

Has anyone heard that Plunderphonics "Grayfolded" mega-mix of Dark Stars from '67-'90-something that came out in the early 90s?
Avatar Tue. 11/4/14 5:47am Jeff Conklin:

Grayfolded is good. It was just reissued as a 400-LP set. Definitely worth checking out.
Avatar Tue. 11/4/14 5:58am Jeff Conklin:

Good hang with you all tonight.
