Good morning Ken, morning all. Looking forward to a spooktacular show

Good morning, Ken, Planet Tyler, Mark S, Marcel M!
Horror Music? Well, you played Mariah Carey last week, so what about playing Evening of Light by Nico? Or what about that metal song you once played that sounded like a satanic mass and had a crying baby in there (alas, I don't remember the name of the song/artist)?
I went to a horrorthon in LA over the weekend and it seemed like every other person had a Goblin shirt from their recent tour. It was nice to see them so appreciated.
"Laughing oxygenates the blood, stimulates the metabolism, enhances mood, releases stress, improves relationships and even increases your chances of career success."
To hell with eatin', I prefer Goblin'. Good morning, Station Mgr. Ken, and kens and barbies and those in-between, everywhere.

Ken i was thinking Minnie Ripperton's seminal hit 'Lovin' You' pitched shifted down about 5 octaves with some background chainsaw shrieking would really hit the spot
I'm going to go on record and say that the theme tune to the oldie children's show "The Magic Roundabout" is one of the creepiest tunes I've ever heard. A distorted merry-go-round noise that makes you think a killer clown is after you.
Fun to have a horror music show after I spent the morning watching "Night of the Living Dead" and a documentary about it. And I second the vote for Hermann's Psycho theme. Horror with strings alone!

Nooooo....! this ASMR gives me the shudders I had to turn it off.

Ken,
There's a track called "Apocalipso" you used to play. Is one of the scariest ones ever. Although I don't think the artist intended the song to be scary but yet is quite unsettling and menacing. Does it sounds familiar? You played it more than 10 years ago, therefore you must remember it, right?
This show played back from the archive this Friday evening on front-porch speakers hidden in jack o'lanterns: A) fun spirited atmosphere or B) effective child repellent?
@Cecile: it's interesting, I was ready to hate that movie from the get-go, and the start wasn't good, but I watched the whole thing and actually enjoyed it as it got going. Nothing like the original show, but it somehow worked. Way better than most Burton films of recent years.
Man, JA got on me for this too man, im dirt dude, I love WFMU with all my heart, but I can barely ramen, im stealing wifi. I could draw you a sweet picture, or send you an ancient dual xeon machine, thats pretty much all my possessions though.
@Cecile: yeah, that was the problem for me at the start too. I don't know if the tone just settled down after a bit, or whether I just got used to it, but somehow the problem went away as I continued watching...
The Johnny Depp/Michelle Pfeiffer Dark Shadows? It was a parody, it was fun and occasionally funny. It wasn't supposed to be a "serious" Dark Shadows, whatever the Hell that would be...

Phillip (Brooklyn):
I am one who has the misfortune of watching almost every dark shadows episode. The scifi channel before it went into the toilet as a stinking bowl of number two use to have dark shadows on from 11-12 in the morning
@Meatfucker: not sure if you mean that in a good way or a bad way? I really didn't care for Burton's Batman myself. The second one was great, but the first one was dire. And both Nicholson and Basinger sucked in their roles.
Yes, but I'll have to send you the example via email later on. Or I can do it now if a kind soul in here tells me how to open a Real Audio clip using Linux.

I've been curious if any of the files that were lost in 2003 from previous programs were ever found or archived elsewhere???...:)O(:...
All the disturbing laughter tracks make me think of this weird ditty from my childhood, which takes the few laughs in "Gambler's Guitar" and goes bananas with them (apparently an incredibly taxing track to perform live due to all the laughing): www.youtube.com...
"The Litanies of Satan" Diamanda Galas. Maybe not scary, but guaranteed to cause madness.

Thanks, Meatfucker!

@ken I'm undecided for lunch? Should I have the "roast chicken" flavor of ramen noodles in a cup? Or the "home style" chicken flavor of ramen noodles in a cup?
On a previous point...I would venture to say that no other public archives compare to the exclusive, obscure and 'most' interesting material that can be found at WFMU!!!...eh???...:)O(:...
Italian for "goblin" is "goblin." Italian for "ghost" is "spettro" or "fantasma." Italian for "fundraiser" is "raccolta di fondi." Italian for "breakfast" is "lasagne."
I should make a fundraiser tee for you ken.
It would say, "IT WAS A BABY ANIMAL".

And that was a typical recording of an European Parliament session where the German leads the meeting, the Italian talks over anyone speaking and the English, well, they just want to go home.
