Which puppy is a treat?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:55am Gary:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:58am Stevel:

Delicious puppies.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:02pm Doug Schulkind:

Imagine a scenario with no Scenario. Unimaginable! Pledge!
Avatar 12:02pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...is it a Spoooky Sceanario this week - ?? (Howling corgis?) ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:04pm Amanda:

No spookier than usual, but I do have a flashlight under my chin.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:06pm Lizardner Dave:

Great Warren Zevon song.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:09pm Amanda:

Pretty much sums up how I feel on Halloween Night most years...
Avatar 12:11pm Dan B From Upstate:

Ahh! Nostalgia!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:11pm Dominick:

All right boys
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:12pm efd:

Hearing Alvin say "reach for the sky you sidewinders" in that voice is the highlight of my day so far.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:12pm Lizardner Dave:

Jean Shepherd used to sing "Ragtime Cowboy Joe" on WOR back in the mid-20th century. (I'm not THAT old, I just have listened to just about every mp3 of Shep that I could find over the last 10 years or so).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm listener james from westwood:

How do, Amanda and all! Listened from the shower for the first few cuts, now back to work with me all clean and stuff. My editing will never smell nicer.
  12:15pm Dave B. (@BuckyKatt):

Those doggies look cute now, but I bet when the lights go out they bare their enormous, flesh-ripping fangs...
Avatar 12:15pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...Slade still had it in '79, apparently...
Avatar 12:19pm bpd:

Dangit, I missed Zevon? Well, hello everyone.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20pm Amanda:

You snooze you lose, bpd!

Hello everyone indeed!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:27pm Artie:

Listening at work (as usual) and feeling highly sympathetic with Dolly's sentiments.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:34pm Doug Schulkind:

Someone pledge that 27 bucks already (the final 6%) and banish the anxious tension! Bring on the celebration!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:34pm listener james from westwood:

Halloween as a holiday is something I'm happy to leave to younger folk at this point (or to make more fun for said younger folks), but I do like cramming my October with horror movies and novels. That said, my avatar depicts my 2008 Halloween costume, from the last great H'ween party a pair of friends threw, to which I went as Hunter Thompson. End of an era.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:37pm Amanda:

Horror movies, I can take or leave too. Unless they are being riffed upon MST3K style!
Avatar 12:39pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

I did this @ my thriftstore job - every single day of October - for three years : www.wfmu.org...
...I'm done.
  12:39pm Dave B. (@BuckyKatt):

Always good to hear The Romantics! (even though the beginning of that song "borrows" heavily from Prince's "When You Were Mine."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40pm Amanda:

It does, @BuckyKatt, but luckily I like that song too...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:44pm Uncle Michael:

Pembroke or Cardigan?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:46pm Amanda:

Pretty sure those are bunny-butts (Pembroke).
Avatar 12:47pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

A favorite of mine is the book 'The Monster Show' by David J. Skal. It's a cultural history of the Horror genre: why certain imagery when. I prefer SciFi really - & daikaiju (giant monsters) particularly - but the way Horror reflects the unexpressed anxieties in Society keeps me interested. I'm in 'Monster Culture' like I'm a 'Rawker' - & I can't weasel out of it...
- & MST3K was the best !! Joel Hodgson was on 'Night People' :
  12:47pm The Jandeksorcist:

"Bunny-butts" Haha!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47pm Uncle Michael:

Excellent. If god wanted corgis to have tails he wouldn't have made me dock them.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47pm listener james from westwood:

They should change the breed name to Bunny-Butts. Would sound great over the loudspeaker at Westminster.
Avatar 12:48pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...(no comment)...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:49pm Uncle Michael:

The Queen likes bunny-butts.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:50pm Artie:

I love bubblegum Mick. (all the Mick's really...)
  12:52pm The Jandeksorcist:

"......Welsh Bunny-Butts number sixty-two, Hizzoner Royal Snyder"
  12:52pm Dean:

Micky Slick
Avatar 12:53pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

'Daily Nightly' expresses things about the lysergic experience as well as much else does; it is right in w/ other L.A. Psych, I posit...& real early Moog besides...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm Amanda:

Love Daily Nightly, RR63, and agree with you! Written by Nesmith, FWIW.
Avatar 12:55pm DeaconDave:

Did the cattle write this song?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56pm Amanda:

Not enough cowbell for them. (sorry)
  12:56pm The Jandeksorcist:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02pm efd:

so it's not really 12 in a Roe, then, is it.
Avatar 1:03pm DeaconDave:

1 Roe; 12 in a dozen.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:07pm efd:

April Wine covering Hot Chocolate. Somebody pinch me!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:08pm Amanda:

@efd, this is one that I will NOT be selling come Record Faire Tyme!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:08pm listener james from westwood:

Hells yes to this April Wine cut.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:08pm Uncle Michael:

This isn't the version I'm playing a week from Friday!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:11pm efd:

someone needs to take the backing track of this song and play a Joe Frank monologue over it, and then it will be Hamilton, Joe Frank, Joe Frank & Reynolds.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:12pm Dominick:

Avatar 1:13pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...why not throw in Aerosmith's Joe Perry & Tom Hamilton...a little crowded by then, yeah...
Avatar 1:15pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...okay Dominick - now Al Capp & maybe John & Yoko are stuffed in that room too...Groucho will open the door & they'll all spill out...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:16pm Doug Schulkind:

Bodega Pop Live? I learned all about bodegas from Taylor Swift!
Avatar 1:18pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

I love that eight seconds of static by TaylorSwift accidentally shot to #1 in Canada...
Avatar 1:18pm northguineahills:

This reminds me to remind Gary to play some Bronco.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:19pm Amanda:

I saw an interesting thread recently about how people really from New York don't use the word "bodega" all that much. I usually just say the name of the store.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:19pm Dominick:

Make that 2 hard boiled eggs
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:20pm listener james from westwood:

  1:20pm The Jandeksorcist:

@RevRab: I heard it, it's def one of her best
Avatar 1:21pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...OMG - she looked *amazing*...
Avatar 1:22pm northguineahills:

Hmmmm, I've always used the word bodega since I first moved here since the locals in my neighborhood used the term.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:22pm listener james from westwood:

It was YEARS before I got the gag behind the "Clown Without Pity" title.
Avatar 1:24pm northguineahills:

homer: "Die you freak!" bart: "you killed zombie flanders!" homer: "he was a zombie?"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26pm listener james from westwood:

With bonus appearance of the Charles Bronson-sounding guy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:27pm listener james from westwood:

"Smithers, what do you think?"
"I think women and seamen don't mix!"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:28pm listener james from westwood:

The Halloween eps have gotten quite sanguinary of late, as far as GIFs on FY Springfield have shown me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:33pm listener james from westwood:

The ape noises on this cut are the best.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:33pm Amanda:

Yes! The Bronson-voiced guy is indeed in this episode, as the toy repairer that switches the switch from Evil to Good.
Avatar 1:34pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

TomWaits' 'KingKong' really evokes the film (this one's fun).
  1:35pm jay c:

been watching treehouse of horror episodes all week, rad tunes today, happy halloween!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:43pm Amanda:

Hey, thanks jay c! Excellent choice of watching. Happy H'ween to all, whether you observe or not.
Avatar 1:45pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...I tot wuz Weezer ! - embarrassed...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:46pm listener james from westwood:

I'd have figured 90s for this JEFF track, but no, contempo!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:48pm Mike East:

me too, Rabbit...only I'm not embarrassed, cuz that totally sounded like Weezer.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:48pm Amanda:

No shame, gentlemen.

LOL at "Komm, gib mir deine Hund"
