Options Brian Turner: Playlist from October 28, 2014 Options

Order and disorder in a freeform haze of terribly-played guitars, shorted-out electronics, found audio detritus, strange sounds from strange lands all around. Psych-punk-junk, collage, even pop. Lots of in-studio live performances to boot.

This sounds like when the mental patients were playing out in the yard in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest." And I mean that positively.
Avatar 3:17pm conkrete_dawg:

it's time for your medication, gentlemen....
Avatar 3:18pm Sem Chumbo:

  3:47pm Señor Pepe:

This is so vibrant. So aware. Reminiscent of Friederich Holderlin.
  3:47pm Mark:

This show's getting nuttier by the minute. I approve.
  3:56pm Mark:

I think the vinyl pop adds a certain je ne c'est quoi
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:56pm Lewis:

what @Mark said!
  3:57pm Mark:

It makes it feel like we're just hanging out in Brian's basement getting...happy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:58pm Guido from Cologne:

the deep bass of the vinyl pop tells me the record is cracked not scratched, right?
  3:58pm Mark:

All the way from Cologne you can hear that!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:51pm chris:

let's dance after the rain ballad - i'm learning japanese and cow udder care today: BT's show FTW! :-)
  4:56pm Mark:

Coney Dogs are HUGE in Michigan. I don't really get why. They call them Coney Islands. And you can't go a block without a coney island restaurant. Usually owned by Greeks. I don't get it--it's not like Aristotle put chili on a hot dog or something.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:02pm Marcel M:

Oh man next week is going to freaking rule... Chrome!
Avatar 5:10pm Cheri Pi:

I'm gettng a colostomy bag fitted for the Chrome show next week. I will take NO risks.
Avatar 5:12pm glenn:

of course not. aristotle was a burger guy.
  5:14pm Dan:

I thought I recognized Taurus. They're awesome.
Avatar 5:18pm Lopez:

@Mark - I went to a Coney Island walk-up place in Flint and got myself a dog. It was good but Rhode Island's New York System was better IMO. David Byrne worked at the original Olneyville location when he was a RISD student and co-opted his "Same as it ever was" karate chopping up his arm motion from how they stack the dogs up their arm while adding the chili & onions. Delicious, and $0.88 per when I was there
Avatar 5:22pm Andy in Berlin:

Seneca was the Hot Dog guy
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:31pm chris:

Stupid meeting time. Thanks, BT! Thanks NZ Ministry of Cows. Thanks, Cheri for the Japanese.

  5:50pm good:

Swag For Life Member 5:51pm c0NZ:

I love this.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:51pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...don't needa gun - needa vinyl solution...
  5:57pm Mark:

Always wondered what that was all about, Lopez.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:59pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:
