A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Loretta Lynn carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

"The Bluetits"?
Avatar 9:20am bibi:

trouble, arent we supposed to see your face in the shield ?
  9:21am the Canterbury wood-elf:

The Bluetits was British DJ Liz Kershaw's band - I remember John Peel playing their version of "Teenage Kicks". Liz's brother is the better known "world music" (urg) DJ Andy Kershaw...
  9:22am Rob in Maryland:

Parq: Blue Tit is a European songbird related to North America's chickadees. In the breeding season, all the songbirds sing a lot at dawn, hence "Dawn Chorus". I think it's a wonderful name.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:22am Parq:

Rob, I know that, and I'm sure the band's people knew that but -- well, gee.

  10:45am timotato:

Was that an owl in the background of your last mic break? A few owls have recently taken up residence in the glen behind my house in northern Georgia. Sometimes in the calm of deep night a short phrase of hoots will echo through the trees like a soft kiss, followed a few moments later by a friend down the valley returning their greeting in kind. The low timber of their songs carries so sweetly in the calm, thick, rich southern air like nothing I've ever heard before. Having recently moved here after years in Newark, it's pure magic to my ears. If you can find a recording of owls at night please share it with us all.
