Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!

hey dale, what's a space farm?
Avatar 6:37pm MenfussMike:

@kali and @Carmichael I had the same experience at a Blue Cheer club show. I was wearing a hat and my hat kept coming off my head.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:37pm dale:

loretta - do graphic design because you love it. and DON'T go work in an agency - you'll end up hating your craft.

@Carmichael & MenfussMike, ...Steppenwolf and Blue Cheer are worthy last full heard concerts before the ear-drums become wilted and slightly melted.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:39pm dale:

space farms is just a goofy museum and zoo where all the animals are fat and sad. but it's kinda close and a fun diversion
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:40pm common:

poor sad animals.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:40pm dale:

so andy can't discuss uncle andy's toys or his how to cheat at trivia app?
Avatar 6:41pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- in early days - BlueCheer was said to play w/ two MarshalStax each for g & b - in places that held 400 people ; their Manager was an ex-Hell'sAngel, & the tagline was 'they turn the air into cottage cheese' - all before Sabbath or even Zep...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:41pm Carmichael:

Best Blue Cheer concert review: "They were so loud, they turned the air to cottage cheese."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:42pm Marcel M:

@Rev: I LOVE that about them. The first real studio record was 69, but they were around way before those guys and cranking out clubs like that... too cool. Also, bands today will use two stacks or more in a small club, but its often for the look and they don't crank it. You can be sure Cheer had it on 10 or close!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:43pm Carmichael:

There ya are, Rev. :)
  6:43pm Gee Lampa:

@Dale Also, RE: Graphic Design; never give away your stuff. Only mom should get a pass.

Most importantly, ONE finished piece, in ANYA medium, is worth 100 bits of unfinished brilliance.
  6:44pm Gee Lampa:

"Any", that is.
Avatar 6:44pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...whut ?? (cups hand to ear)...& the talk is perfect dyadic context...wow GeeLampa...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:44pm Kali G:

This is why Clay and Fabio need to start that on air MegaChruch for the musical soul.
  6:45pm iris:

Clay inspires people!
Avatar 6:45pm MenfussMike:

Blue Cheer were freakin' loud. I once felt the inside of my body cavity vibrate during a Gene Simmons bass solo in 1984, but having my hat coming off my head during a Blue Cheer concert was a new experience.
  6:46pm Gee Lampa:

@Revolution I exist only to serve.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:46pm common:

that sounds so great menfussmike. my pants were vibrating at a buzzoven show. pretty nutty.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:46pm Kali G:

Many a young rock and roller lost their virginity on the dance hall floor just listening and feeling the sounds of Blue Cheer!
  6:47pm Gee Lampa:

I wince @ Neil's digital audio venture, "Pono". He's in for a big disappointment.
  6:48pm SeanG:

  6:48pm iris:

Hugs! I thought they were sitting right next to each other.
  6:48pm Gee Lampa:

Fabio's too cool to be loved.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:48pm Kali G:

Does Clay make a better Pastor, Reverend or Guru?
  6:49pm SeanG:

saw these dudes on the monster of rock tour
  6:49pm Gee Lampa:

I can't believe this Plant ripoff!!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:49pm dale:

a big led zeppelin imitator, here!
Avatar 6:49pm MenfussMike:

I saw Kingdom Come open Monsters of Rock in 88. First on a bill with Metallica, Scorpions, Van Halen and not sure the other
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:49pm Fuzzy:

Yeah...total Zep ripoff -- I remember this tune.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:49pm Marcel M:

So at first I thought, "who doesn't rip Led Zep?" But WOW! What a rip!
  6:49pm campy the sleeper:

I saw Kingdom Come at the Monsters of Rock festival.
  6:49pm Gee Lampa:

What's next, Clay? The debut album from "The Whom"?
Avatar 6:50pm MenfussMike:

Fastway were a MUCH better Zeppelin rip off.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:50pm common:

ha! i used to hear this blasting out of my sister's room. how did they get away with it?
  6:50pm SeanG:

@menfuss --Dokken!
Avatar 6:50pm V Priceless:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:50pm dale:

Avatar 6:50pm MenfussMike:

Avatar 6:51pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...wait - not a cover ? - & Zep are said to be plagiarists...comes around goes around...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:51pm common:

my sister also used to write "rockin' with dokken" on the walls in our house, seanG. ah, memories.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:51pm Carmichael:

I thought it would be Arthur Brown's band Kingdom Come.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:51pm Kali G:

You don't see many hairlips anymore ....
Avatar 6:51pm MenfussMike:

that's right...Led Zippo were the biggest rip offs in rock n roll
  6:52pm Gee Lampa:

That's true. And what wasn't stolen amounted to some weak stuff. "Carouselambra"? Yeek!
Avatar 6:52pm steve:

come on folks... hold off on 15 dollar bin records at the flea market this weekend and give Clay some cash
Avatar 6:52pm MenfussMike:

Carouselambra was a GREAT song.
  6:53pm campy the sleeper:

Don't forget Dread Zeppelin.
  6:53pm Gee Lampa:

I'm very happy when Fab is on. The chemistry is aces.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:55pm Kali G:

I use Fabio's mantra for enlightenment, and Clay's inspirational show for the understanding of what reality actually is and is not.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:55pm Marcel M:

Gotta run a bit early guys great show! Byeeee
Avatar 6:56pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- late MM.
  6:56pm Gee Lampa:

@MenfussMike I don't know. Things like Zeppelin were dead to me after 20 yrs old. Probably the lyrics. Somehow, things like CCR aged like a good scotch, though.
  6:57pm Gee Lampa:

Strong lyrics always help rock to remain vital, 40 years later.
  6:57pm SeanG:

Zeppelin still kicks ass
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:57pm dale:

  6:58pm Gee Lampa:
