Hello Faye, Hello Children. Extra fancy gif tonight, nice!
  9:17pm nate:

i found a cd-rom of clip art from 1996 today...the people who made it would have thought this gif came from the 24th century

holy CRAP is this acoustic version of driveway to driveway ever great. wow.

man, i love superchunk.
  9:25pm Carmichael:

Hey Faye. Listening from the coast. The best chunks are Superchunks.
  9:27pm P-90:

That there might be one of the best Superchunk tracks.

"I don't feel the need to explain my art to you Warren"
  9:46pm JakeGould:

Also, you just flipped me out when you played Flophouse. Since I was on Teenbeat’s onset a few weeks ago & discovered a typo on their page about that specific single, contacted them & was thanked for the assist. Weird coinidink.
  9:48pm JakeGould:

I meant, “website.” No idea how “onset” got spellchecked to that.
Avatar 9:53pm listener mark:

WFMU reads our minds and/or sends subliminal messages.
  9:55pm JakeGould:

GIF suggestion: The first thing to burst through should be straw. Then wood. Then bricks. And then the dog boy becomes a wolf. I shut up now.
Avatar 9:59pm Fernando M P:

Hey Faye! I like today's GIF so much.
  10:03pm Carmichael:

Your accent is more peculiar than Liz Berg's
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:04pm Faye:

Liz is from California! I was born there.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:04pm Chop Scott:

I'm from the Mid-west long ago, but so happy here-- and listening to your lovely program Faye!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:06pm Faye:

well THAT explains your unending kindness Chop Scott!
  10:08pm JakeGould:

People think I am from the midwest because I have a non-accent accent despite growing up in Brooklyn. That’s what I get for being a part of a Polish/Yiddish household I guess.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:09pm Ĩkє:

I'm from rural MD, but close enough to VA that a tinge of quasi-southern accent still occasionally emerges despite my living in 91.1 FM-land for many years now. I still call groups of people "y'all" sometimes.
Avatar 10:10pm listener mark:

I am from Hudson County, NJ. I do not have an accent. The rest of youse do.
  10:10pm JakeGould:

And truth be told, I would love to move to upstate NYC or anywhere in the northeast that is rural to some extent. City life is not for me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:11pm Tome:

upState nyc = Yonkers ,
  10:12pm Carmichael:

I jest, Faye. Liz attended Uc Davis, where i live and used to work. I did not know you were born out here. BTW, we don't have accents. Y'all have accents.
  10:12pm JakeGould:

Ike, I thought about you when I heard about this low power AM radio in Bay Ridge. The funny thing? I can’t seem to pick it up where I am. twitter.com...

Upstate NY, 15th St.
  10:14pm P-90:

@Tome: Ha!
  10:14pm JakeGould:

Bay Ridge = Brooklyn’s New Jersey
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:15pm Ike:

Ha ha, wow. If that's truly "part 15" (so low power that it's legal) as they claim, then no wonder you can't pick it up. Part 15 reaches maybe, like, a block!
  10:16pm P-90:

Jersey City = the new borough of NYC
  10:17pm JakeGould:

Yeah, I now want to buy an AM radio and go to the block I am sure this guy is on so I can listen to Van Halen & other classic rock hits.
  10:17pm JakeGould:

Isn’t “Part 15” the AM power level people use when driving through Christmas light displays to listen to warbling music?
Avatar 10:18pm listener mark:

The giant ice wall runs along 59th street, only things further north are the undead and the white walkers.
  10:19pm JakeGould:

59th street in Brooklyn? Or Manhattan? Or elsewhere?
  10:20pm P-90:

"59th St in Brooklyn" lol
  10:21pm JakeGould:

Laugh P-90, but 59th Street on the N line is important to me. And a dividing point for a few reasons out here.
Avatar 10:22pm listener mark:

@P-90 They should have continued building the 7 train to New Jersey, commuting would so much easier.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:23pm Tome:

as a kid above 59 st b'klyn up until you were pretty much in Park Slope was considered by many still Bay Ridge ..
  10:24pm JakeGould:

Sunset Park, Tome. 36th Street to 59th Street in Brooklyn is Sunset Park.
  10:24pm P-90:

The PATH is OK, except it takes forever. The 7 to Jersey was a great idea, but too hugely expensive....guess we needed the money more in Iraq and Afghanistan
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:24pm Tome:

,.,, meant you were in Bay Ridge ABOVE 59 st until around 36 st.
Avatar 10:25pm totallybiased:

This reminds me os a teenage band in Asbury Pk out now. Glycerine Queens. Good stuff.
Avatar 10:26pm listener mark:

The tunneling machines were already in the ground, they just needed to be turned southwest. They would come up in Jersey City somewhere.
  10:26pm P-90:

Where did they get that name? Excellent
Avatar 10:31pm listener mark:

59th street Manhattan, the night watch guards against dire wolves, skin changers, dragons, giants, and the crowds of tourists near The Plaza Hotel.
  10:32pm JakeGould:

You know what fascinates me? 56th Street & 58th Street in Manhattan. Those are really bizarre non-streets.
Avatar 10:33pm probablyjohn:

If any of you folks are not cool enough to be super into Hefner, you should watch the video for that song, after you are done listening to Faye being great.
  10:33pm KP:

Hi ya, Faye
Avatar 10:33pm 1010w:

Hi Faye, just wanna say that this show is an essential part of my happiness during my horrible daily commute. Thank you!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:37pm íkє:

Speaking of 59th St., @Jake, can you hear a Spanish-lang. pirate at 90.1 FM interfering w/WKCR? @BkPirateWatch on Twitter noticed that for the 1st time today around there, but it doesn't reach very far.
  10:38pm JakeGould:

Nah. Nope. Not here. Not for me.
  10:42pm KK:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:22pm Faye:

  11:23pm P-90:

So determined, yet so carefree...
Swag For Life Member 11:24pm 12539:

Indomitable puppyhood.
  11:25pm P-90:

Like he's on Ketamine or roofies, plus a little meth. And a double cappuccino.
  11:26pm P-90:

...in a addition to just being high on Life, of course
  11:26pm KP:

Dear impresses
  11:27pm JakeGould:

“You're all insane…” Nope. Just tired & sweaty from this wonderful NYC weather. I also still say: Straw to wood to bricks = making that guy a wolf.
  11:29pm P-90:

I like how one fencepost flies out of frame, another falls forward, and the last stays up, he just cruises on by, getting on with his bad self
  11:30pm JakeGould:

This cat dog is doing a better jon than this football players. www.huffingtonpost.com...

Destruction? More like disconnection.
  11:40pm P-90:

@mark; he's LIVING the dream, Man
Avatar 11:44pm listener mark:

But I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
To be the man who walked 1,000 miles
To fall down at your door

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:10pm Cooh John:

When I hear the first few songs on each show I realize that I would not automatically think of Hello Children. That is what makes your show so great--always playing something new and different. Plus, I was excited to hear Ron House and Counter Inutits. I saw Ron with Thomas Jefferson Slave Apartments in the spring of 2016. As one song was winding down he kept chanting: "Cleveland. July. Cleveland. July." After the show I asked him if he was referring to the Republican National Convention. He said yes and that it was a "date with the devil."
