Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!

Avatar 3:10pm Cheri Pi:

I would listen to those isolated vocals any time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:10pm Guido from Cologne:

Is this a special sitting in??
Cool to have this earlier in the evening for a change!

Avatar 3:11pm Cheri Pi:

Thanks VP! it was so much fun, I don;t know how dj's do it, I definitely don't have the voice for radio.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:11pm chris:

Four hours of Clay? Awesome! Three hours of Clay impersonation, then Clay? Awesome!

Thanks for sharing your music with us, Cheri Pi! Loved it!
Avatar 3:12pm V Priceless:

you sounded fine - very profesh!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:12pm Ike:

Yeah, V Priceless, I'm confused too. Must be a comments board error. Has to be BT. This music is not... uh... viscous and root-beery enough to be Clay Pigeon.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:13pm Guido from Cologne:

I loved your selections Cheri!
(Anyway not less than a mojority of WFMU-DeeJays, that's for sure!)
Avatar 3:13pm V Priceless:

haha, Ike!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:14pm Ike:

You sounded great, CP. Your voice is lovely.

I posted a complicated question for you towards the end, but I think I was much too late.

Avatar 3:23pm Danne D:

Yay Clay :)
Yay UK :)
  3:23pm Row 14:

I sat behind row 13 in Morristown N.J. when U.K. opened for Al Dimielo.R.Fripp and his entourage filled row 13!Great show.
Avatar 3:23pm Cecile:

RIP Joan Rivers
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:24pm Guido from Cologne:

A friend of mine took lessons with Fripp:
One comment of him to make guitarists stop gazing at the fretboard was "you also don't watch your left hand when you wipe your ass!" This guy has humour!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:24pm maestroso:

@v priceless: indeed it was. I had to let mine go when I started touring overseas.
Avatar 3:24pm V Priceless:

UK were hardly considered a super group back when they started out. In hindsight, yes.
Avatar 3:25pm V Priceless:

Hi Clay!
I'm so excited I'm going back to the USA after 12 years. I'll be in NYC for just a weekend, at the begining of november. Do you know of any WFMU related events going on between 10/30 and 11/2? I'd love to meet DJs and fellow listeners.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:30pm Philthy woman:

Microphone fiend and Clay Pigeon! YES.
Avatar 3:31pm Cecile:

Avatar 3:36pm dale:

poor joan. so she was in a 'clinic' having throat surgery before being rushed to a hospital - wouldn't throat surgery be something you do IN a hospital? was an addiction to plastic surgery her undoing? just asking.....
Avatar 3:37pm Cecile:

I think when you get to be a certain age, anesthesia can be touchy no matter where you are.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:37pm Mike East:

oh good, I didn't miss any Britny Fox. Hey Clay!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:37pm Guido from Cologne:

Chicago Transit ruled!
Live is even better!
Avatar 3:38pm Cecile:

Clinics that do surgery have fully stocked operating rooms. I've had surgery in them, they are as good as hospitals.
Avatar 3:38pm doca:

Hi, all! My mom's pleased with the Chicago track (just kidding)
Avatar 3:38pm Cecile:

and Kix.
BUt not from Baltimore. From Pennsylvania!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:39pm Frito Puente:

KIX!!! This is why we love Clay!
Avatar 3:39pm PKNY:

Wasn't this Kix song actually about suicide?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:39pm YETI BOB:

don't you dare touch that dial!
Avatar 3:39pm Clay Pigeon:

Sorry Cecile! Thanks for the correction. You make me wish I remembered my Britny Fox LP.
Avatar 3:39pm Cecile:

You would be amazed how many surgeries are outpatient now and have better recovery rates because of it.
  3:40pm Robert:

My family belonged to the same beach club Joan Rivers was rumored to belong to at the time, the Riviera Shore Club in New Rochelle. That was in the 1960s. I went back there in the 1980s, when it was an abandoned ruin.
Avatar 3:40pm V Priceless:

what is this thing called work and why is it interrupting my Clay-A-Thon?
  3:40pm Eric:

I remember kids from DC telling me about Kix at summer camp, their following was very limited to their region
Avatar 3:42pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

As a former kid from DC [no longer kid but still in DC], the Kix thing was everywhere. I had no idea they were local? Even to this day...?
Avatar 3:42pm Cecile:

Poison took their whole act and made a bunch of money off it. They had a couple of hit albums, but got mismanged and ripped off. But they were actually a real band long before hair metal.
  3:42pm Mark Warren:

Always liked Kix...good call!
Avatar 3:42pm Cecile:

Rev, Blow My Fuse was big everywhere
Avatar 3:42pm Clay Pigeon:

Hey Mark Warren! Welcome my friend.
Avatar 3:43pm Cecile:

but now is the time to go to the mail room.
Avatar 3:43pm MenfussMike:

Saw both KIX and Britney Fox in concert. Kix opened for KISS i think and Britney opened for Poison. I always preferred Britney Fox....they were foxier.
  3:43pm r i s k y:

Alright! Go Clay! 4 Hrs of Pigeon is the perfect perscription.
Avatar 3:44pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Ah there. Just got here again, after crashing for the 15th time due to a poisoned word doc manuscript. Kix were PA then? DC/Balto had some great proggy heritage before Dischord came along & peed on everything.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:48pm Ken From Hyde Park:

There should be one of those celebrity death matches with Kix vs. Kick Ax.
  3:50pm in and out:

I'm sorry but Joan Rivers rant about bombing Gaza was unacceptable, she was funny but missed the mark on that one, her swan song.
